Do you want white teeth ?
Get one lime, cut it in half, than squeeze one half in a small plate, than get about one or two tablespoon of baking soda powder and mix it with the lime juice until it creates a thick paste.Apply it in your teeth, leave it for 2 minutes. Than rinse your mouth.Repeat this process once a week, you will have wonderful results.
Thanks.

Well, newbie. I'm assuming it worked for you so I'm going to try it. Thanks.
My guess is it's a little sour, huh? :P
:fish:
-
That's interesting. I will have to try it. I have heard a banana peel will whiten your teeth also.
-
very interesting, something i will have to try.
-
I just have 1 question. What do you do with the other half of the lime?
LOL!!!I think i can answer that. When you see results you pour yourself a nice drink and add the other half in it to celebrate!!
-
Wow, that sounds really interesting. I may have to give it a try. Thanks. :)
-
I may try it but with all this snow here in Boston, I wont be getting out till July to buy a lime UGH!!

I will try it, hope it works for me.
-
Will give that a go
-
That sounds like a good Idea. Hopefully when I have time I will remember to give it a try. Well what are the chances that not only you will see positive results, people will start to recognize that I really have teeth. LOL
-
Hmm, I might try that. I guess it's safe if you use it only once a week.

Chewing on lemons is one of the worst things you can do for tooth enamel. The acid breaks down the enamel and can make your teeth very sensitive. I did a science project in high school many years ago that proved lemon juice dissolves enamel. I would be afraid lime juice would work the same way.
-
I read that adding water to baking soda will make a good toothpaste.
-
too sour for me, Ive heard tho if you smash strawberries up, and rub on your teeth it also whitens them, havent tried it personally tho

Very interesting. I was wondering about the acid in the lime which is same citrus family as the lemon.
Perhaps the banana peel is a safer alternative.

I have a cousin that has never used toothpaste in his life (he's in his late 60's). He has always brushed his teeth with baking soda. He's got the whitest teeth of any human being I've ever seen in my life. You could bring ships to port with his teeth. LOL
-
Umm...what are you supposed to do with the banana peel? Chew on it?
-
I have a nice white teeth. Thank You!
-
I might try this, I have used baking soda before but not with lime juice
-
Sounds real sour will stick to the baking soda toothpaste.
-
I saw a video on YouTube about this and I wanted to try it but fear it would damage my teeth. But then I think about all the other things that I do that damage my teeth like drinking soda and it may be worth the risk. Maybe I could brush with a better toothpaste than aqua fresh to restrengthen my enamel.
-
hmm i should try that...
I just usually use the crest 3d whitening strips
-
thanks for the info may give this a try
-
I don't think I could handle the sour/tartness of it, but thanks for the tip! ;D
-
Seems like a nice trick, but like some have said about the acid in the limes and teeth enamel.
-
I'm going to try that thanks.
-
Baking soda is supposed to be good for this. This is why it is in some toothpastes.
-
tumeric power is a good trick.
-
I am always looking for better ways to whiten my teeth. This is a very interesting idea and something I will have to try. If it works it would be a cheaper alternative to all the expensive toothpastes I have tried over the years with minimal results.
-
I am not so sure, but I might give it a try. I am wondering is it really good.
-
That's interesting. I know baking soda is supposed to work for whitening. I have also heard and tried the baking soda and peroxide but never stuck with it. Just yesterday I got to crowns put on my top front teeth and they are so white compared to my natural teeth that they recommended the phillips zoom whitening procedure. I am probably going to do it just wish it wasn't so darn expensive.
-
Don't use acid on your teeth unless you want to ruin them. Hydrogen peroxide works too.
-
Interesting! I will try this. Thanks for sharing.
-
I've heard that acid can eat away at your tooth enamel so don't know that I'll try that but its an interesting thought. Thanks for sharing.
-
sounds great but i'm worried about my enamel as well.
-
Thanks for the idea!
-
I have heard of it before but never try them. I'll give it a try later tonight.
-
Sounds better than the store bought whitening kits and wallet friendly too!
-
very interesting but I don't think id try it, too much of a gamble
-
Hmmm i have never heard of that before... I guess their are several natrual methods to teeth whiting.. I will try this out! Thanks for the info.. :highfive:
-
I've never heard of this trick. Wouldn't the acid in the lime wear enamel, though? ??? Let's hope not! ;)
-
i use baking soda on my teeth!
-
Interesting. Will have to try it someday. It's definitely a cheaper alternative than buying whitener at the store.
-
Have heard several never tried them though. I tried samples of expensive ones; but wasn't to impressed.
-
Sounds interesting and I know it's a whole lot cheaper than those whitening strips or trays!!
-
Might have to try this, thanks!!
-
That might work to whiten your teeth, but there is a problem with that solution. Anything that is acetic is not good for your teeth. I once went to the dentist and they told me you drink a lot of orange juice right and I told them yes, He said I should stop because it's not good for my teeth enamel. I think that lemon is in the same area as orange, so be careful.
-
I knew about the baking soda but not the lime, I will try it
-
Interesting idea...ill have to try it sometime...thanks for the tip!
-
thanks for the tip!! :star:
-
wow never heard of that...will have to try it. thanks for sharing!
-
Of course that would whiten your teeth. All of it is healthy!!! Not only is that stuff good for your teeth, it's good for your overall health. I highly recommend getting all of those in the organic fashion.
-
Sounds interesting ... I usually rinse with peroxide .. it works well and kills germs .. NEVER swallow it ..
-
This sounds like it would work but is it good for the enamel of the teeth? Are you sure you aren't damaging something you aren't supposed to be touching?
-
will have to try that one....thank you
-
One of the best ways to whiten teeth is home made with baking soda and peroxide. Easy and cheap.
-
I'mm have to give this a try. Thanks for the cost saving tip.
-
I knew about eating cheese, but I had no idea about eating strawberries. I love Super Smile. Using Vaseline takes me back to my days of being a majorette, when we would apply to our teeth so that we could smile continually. I also love "Dentist," a tooth polish with the chief ingredient of clay. It is unique but works well to deep-clean.
-
Wow that is so simple. I will have to definitely try this and hope it will work for me. Lime juice I can handle, but baking soda is nasty.
-
I'm reading posts and from what I understand the acid in citrus fruits is not good for your teeth. I wonder if just plain water mixed with baking soda would work just as well.
