Do you memorize all of the passwords you use on a daily basis or do you write them down?
-
I have to write them down. I have a special hidden place for that list.
-
There are a couple I remember but some sites required complicated passwords, those I wrote down but are hidden.
-
I have most of my passwords memorized, but some are written down.
-
The ones I use often I memorize, the ones I use infrequently I have to write down.

My memory is so horrible I usually use the same one for everything but there are a few that you must add an extra # or symbol...I have to write those down ;)
-
I have a scrap piece of paper I write them down on. I don't write them all down because I worry about people trying to get into certain accounts. Any account that has to do with money I keep in my brain its usually safe there until I forget and have to reset it.

I wish I knew my PayPal password!
:rose:and that's how this site pays,

I use a nifty little add-on to my Firefox browser called "Last Pass." Remembers all my passwords and some of them are VERY long. You can use it to create new passwords for you, too. I love it.
-
I try and keep my passwords down to a few. I don't write them down, but sometimes I need to go through 4 or 5 before picking the right one!
-
I memorize my passwords its just easier
-
I try to us the same password so its not hassle to remember them, it can be quite pain to loose password or forget them
-
Since I change my passwords depending on the account every few months I do write them down and keep them in a special place. :peace:

I used to write down all my passwords but now I have a trick to remember them.
-
I can remember them, most of the time, and not have to write them down. Although I feel like my memory is going so that may change soon. I did have to ask to have a new one sent to me on another site recently.
-
I write most of them down, but memorize the ones I use all the time...plus, mine are usually similar so it's easier to remember...worse case I can just request and reset a new one...

I used to write them down and have different ones for everything. Now I try to keep the same one and don't write them down. When I change them they are all the same. That way I don't have to remember a bunch of them. BMaston12

i memorize some, or my computer does it for me with autofill...
but i write down the passwords for websites i dont visit often.
-
The ones I use most often are memorized, some by me some by the computer. I do have all of them written down in a safe place. Then if I cant get in after a try or two I can get it without having to do a reset.
-
I have them all written down, but I also have them memorized.
-
i have them memorized for the most part if i cant remember you can always get help from the site
-
No i cant memorize all my passwords because the companies make me change them on such a yearly basis that i just have a book that i write them all down in.
-
I used to use the same password on every website - BIG mistake!! I've had various sites hacked into like Facebook, Craigslist, two different email providers including hotmail (now Outlook) etc... :sad1:
I've always heard not to use the same password, but I was stubborn and didn't listen. :'(
Now, I've come to my senses and I use Last Pass. It's the best thing out there. I wish I had used it sooner.

I do both memorize and write them to have a backup. Many are very similar so its easy to write them to keep track of all of them.
-
I write them down, and I am going to change all my passwords today too.
-
At my age, I think I need to write almost everything down. Somehow my memory is not as good compared to 15 years ago or so. Even my bank code it is so difficult to remember.
-
I remember them, but keep on telling myself to right them down as I have so many and I periodically forget. I try to make them somewhat hard to figure out, but this makes it hard for me.
-
Well....now that banks are requiring a change in passwords and you can't even do a play off the old one, I'm going to have to start writing them down!;/
-
there are a couple i write down (the ones i dont use often)... i memorize the rest
-
I remember all of my passwords. But I also write them down so that I don't forget. As I get old, I do forget here and there. :)
-
I have to write them down I change them every couple of months
-
same here i have to write them down or i forget them cause i have a lot of websites that i visit.
-
I know all of my passwords for the sites I use frequently. Some others I write down especially the ones I don't use a lot.
-
I try to write them down on sites that I don't go all the time. And try to make it harder to hack in to. But they are really smart the hackers.
-
both,,,dont want to forget them,.
-
I try to write all of my passwords down. Sometimes I forget though.
-
As often as we have to change them I figure most people have to write them down. I have 2 at work and I have to change them every 3 months or so and I cannot remember what they are. You also cannot use anything close to what you used before. Like if you use Word1 then next time you cannot use Word2. Grrr! Ridiculous.
-
I use a free secure online service for my password called Passpack ... you can google it for more info
-
Too many to remember...write them down against all the security warnings and put them in ABC order.
-
I keep it on a spreadsheet which is password protected. So I just need to remember one so i don't forget it. :)
-
passwords are becoming a big pain especially since you apparently need one for everything these days. I simply just try to remember them all but, I'm sure one day I will have to write them down!!
-
definitely write down the ones I don't use everyday, if not all memory
-
I have my own strategy for storing passwords so I would have them even if I no longer had my laptop. I think we all have to find a way that works out best for us.
Sometimes, I set up accounts for other people who aren't computer literate so I need to be able to access their passwords, as well.

-
I write it down, I used different password in every site.
-
Some I memorize, others I write down and keep in a special place.
-
I don't try to remember all the passwords I use. I am always changing mine so I need a place to park them that is secure.
-
i have them wrote down, but they are different on all sites...i memorized all,but in case i forget i have them down..and i change them at least every month or two..
