Title: birthday
Post by: Gerianne on March 11, 2015, 04:45:39 am
how do you celebrate your birthday?
my sister and her husband come down for spring break to celebrate with me.
This year she is coming one day late so I'll celebrate twice.
I don't feel like doing anything on my birthday.

Relaxing at home usually. The last 3 yrs or so I started taking off for my birthdays with my job. I figure they are not worthy of my presence on MY day! lol ...this year I want to do something fun and different. My birthday is in June, so there are a lot of options, and so many to chose! Go enjoy and celebrate your birthday to the fullest as if every day is your last day on this earth! :)

I usually celebrate birthdays quietly at home. My hubby usually makes me a really nice dinner in the evening complete with juicy steak, baked potato with sour crème and a fresh veggie like broccoli or cauliflower with apple pie and ice cream for dessert. That is my absolute favorite meal for celebrating birthdays.

I don't do much at all for my birthday and neither does anyone else lol.  Up until my parents passed away in 2007 and 2008 if I was visiting with them on my birthday they would have me a cake and a nice present even though I was in my 50's.  They just liked to make MY day special for me.  They were my best friends and I was theirs.  So, my birthdays since have just more or less been like any other day.  Our kids are grown and on their on and I don't usually see but one of our daughters on my birthday.

I just want to be with my friends and family. This year I got to spend it with someone I hadn't seen in many years and with new girlfriends from my job so I enjoyed it very much!

My birthday is in the middle of winter so that many times the weather doesn't allow for any celebration. Also most of the celebrations are very low key. However, I have a tendency to spread out those celebrations over a month or 2. This year I have celebrated it 3 times already and friends are saying that there are 2 celebrations left! :rose: :rainbow:

Since I will be 45 in July - I seriously doubt I will celebrate. Really no one to celebrate with.

I usually celebrate with my husband...out to dinner. Sometimes we go with friends.  I've had some major birthday parties in my life, but now I'm usually at home by 10 p.m.  I guess I got too old...or too smart.

Happy birthday. Mine is in June and I usually just like to buy myself something nice and go out to eat with my fiance and the kids if we bring them.

Absolutely nothing. I celebrated my birthday with my family before I got married but since then no gifts, dinners or even a card for that matter.

Now that I'm older and my child is grown, I really don't celebrate. I may get a dessert from one of the restaurants and get treat myself with an outfit or an accessory. If my child is in town on my birthday, we all may go out to eat, and maybe a movie afterwards. I think that birthdays are for the kids and I'm just happy to see another day!

My husband and I normally go out to dinner or do a week or weekend get away.  I always look forward to my birthday.   :)

My birthday was last Monday.  Since I just had surgery a few weeks ago, I really did not feel like doing anything at all!  Maybe we will do something to celebrate this weekend!

The last few years I go on a trip.  I'm not big on celebrating because I hate the fact that I'm getting older so I don't celebrate or make a big deal about it.

I had my birthday in mid april and it was the first very, un-special birthday that I have had in fifty three years. My wife went out the night before to celebrate her friend's birthday, my son and daughter were out the night before with their friends and I had a quiet night at home working.  I went to bed at ten only to be rudely awakened by my drunken wife, at two in the morning, wondering where my son and daughter were. My daughter had forgotten to let us know that she was staying at a friend's house and my son had sneaked out of the house.  That was how my birthday started. I told the family that they were all very rude and that I was calling my future birthdays off-never to be celebrated again-not that they had any intention of thinking of anybody but themselves.
