I never tried it on stains but I use it for cuts and wounds on myself and my dogs.

I have also used hyrogen peroxide on horses when they have had wounds.

I know it will remove fresh blood stains from clothing too.  I have not tried it on a carpet stain or in a load of laundry.

Yes, I have witnessed that peroxide will definitely remove fresh blood stains without a doubt! I was amazed when I saw this! My husband wounded his hand last summer and as the doctor was preforming surgery he got blood on his doctor coat and quickly used the peroxide and the blood stain disappeared like magic. Definitely worth keeping around in the house! :)

Just saw this yesterday....I'm always sick & looking for home remedies.
(**Also would be very careful about using peroxide around pets, it can blind them if they get it in their eyes.)

How to Use Hydrogen Peroxide for Colds and Flu

    Lay down on your side.
Put 6 drops in your ear.  You will hear a fizzing and crackling noise.
    Wait five minutes.
Wait until the bubbling and stinging subside (usually 5 to 10 minutes), then drain onto a tissue or the sink and repeat with the other ear.
    Get a good night sleep.

It is proven to be effective especially if done when your symptoms first appear.

I have certainly used hydrogen peroxide on cuts and wounds but also I get my sons to gargle with it when they have a sore throat. They say it heals up real quick. I have noticed that hydrogen peroxide is an ingredient in teeth whitening products so I guess it stands to reason that it will work well at removing other stains too. In my opinion, hydrogen peroxide is as useful as baking powder in the kitchen.

I use hydrogen peroxide for my ears to get the ear wax out. I hate qtips and I have had a few bad experiences with it. I don't know if you're supposed to use it your ears but my nephew has a condition where he gets scabs in his ears and they prescribed him concentrated peroxide for it.

For less than a $1 it's definitely worth the purchase.  :angel11: I've used it as a teeth whitening product. Mix 1tbs of baking soda with 1tps of hydrogen peroxide to create a paste and then brush!.  ;D DON'T use daily. Baking soda can be abrasive and remove the enamel from your teeth. I do this maybe 1-2x a month.

Peroxide is wonderful.  There are just so many things it can be used for.  One use that comes to mind is that is sanitizes produce.  When I fix a salad, I put everything in a large bowl, fill with water, add about a cap full of peroxide, try to keep everything submerged and let it all soak for about 20 minutes.  Now, the salad has been disinfected.

Doing the same soak will bring wilted lettuce back to it's original crisp state.  If your lettuce is still good but no longer crisp, give it a peroxide soak and see if you can rejuvenate your greens.

Arm and Hammer's Radiant toothpaste uses peroxide and baking soda as its main ingredients.

My mom used to use it for stains but she would mix it with something, I just can't remember what. I have also heard it works good with baking soda to whiten teeth.
