has anyone heard of the B.T.K mass murderer from kansas. I believe that he should have received the death penalty becasue of him 4 of my family members were murdered and my dad was 15 and found them and now i cant even have a relationship with my dad cause that made him go crazy BTK deserves to die
-
I do know him, Bind Torture and Kill right? I've heard of what he has done to people...I've really disliked what he did to the first family he murdered, especially to the young girl!
And about making him die, I prefer for him to suffer with living, because living with all he has done is what is killing him slowly and no better way of torturing the human being.

I agree. Every penny he makes at his lousy prison jobs should go to the families of the deceased. Instead of TV, he should only be allowed to watch videos of his victims' families expressing their grief for their loved ones.

the first family was my family the young girl was my aunt
-
Oh, how was your dad related to the family?

I have seen the movie on the BTK killer. Sick and twisted that one was!!!

In California, it dosen't matter what you do or get sentenced to, you can sit on deathrow for 40 years and die of old age. Look at Charles Manson, he has been there for 40 years and receives over 10,000 pieces of mail each year, and writes his own blog. We need to find a better solution.

Agh...BTK. Wichita, Kansas is 140 miles from here. My father actually LIVES in the house that used to belong to the detective who caught him.
-
I live in Wichita Definitely heard of him. In the end he will get his comeupence

I think the death penalty should be mandatory for first degree murder. A friend of mine was killed along with two other people over 15 years ago. The killer is still sitting on death row. I'm tired of working so this fool can sit around and do nothing. One appeal and then the execution. There is no need to drag it out for years.

There are rare occasions when the person is actually innocent tho and at least they are rotting in jail and not on the streets harming others.

My dad is related because my grandma grandpa aunt and uncle were the first people to be murdered by him and my dad is the one who found them dead when he came home from school he was only 15

omg that is so sad. i'm sorry about your family. yes, i agree that he should be killed slowly.

I remember reading about it on TruTV crime library archives. Crazy man...

I'd rather he sat in solitary confinement for life. No time for exercise, no reading material, nothing. The costs of death penalty are just about the same as life in prison, so if the money is being spent, I'd rather he have to delve on his own thoughts for decades (however old he is now..don't really know).

I agree with most of you I think first degree murders should get the death penalty. KIillers do not give no mercy to the victims so why should we?? Yea most killers do not even suffer the pain their victims went through!!!

he is like in his 60's

If you kill them quicker the only thing you'll get is that he's gone but for them it's their way of saying I beat you because I've got the easy way out. They will always win when you give them the short death.
And do you want to pay for the appeals in court when he is going through death row...Isn't that giving him more time and costing us more if he does win?

Handing them a ticket out of their life and out of having to face their own thoughts (in solitary confinement) is more merciful than anything. They shouldn't get an easy way out. Do you think he wants to live the rest of his life in prison? Probably not. Do you think he would rather die? Probably. Why give him what he wants (especially when the costs are now cheaper to keep him in prison rather than lethal injection)?
