Have you ever watched this show? Would you ever think about trying a situation similar? I know I would never last...and frankly...wouldn't even want to try! Often these people are in life-threatening situations. But obviously, different strokes for different folks!!! However, as far as I know, there is no money or prize at the end. I wouldn't even do it for six figures.

I do watch it. So impressed by those folks. A lot more nerve than me. Just cannot imagine going through what they do. The bites they get, lack of food, those are some tough people. I never thought about what they are getting paid. Surely they get something. I know many of them do it to prove something to themselves but they must get some kind of per diem.

I saw that on youtube before....tv gets weirder and weirder lol. I thought one episode was funny but I can't say I'll watch again. haha

I have heard about it. I have never watched it and would never watch it. And they are not in life threatening situations. It is a TV show. It's kind of like Survivor. There are hundreds of people there besides the ones being filmed. They aren't out there all by themselves.
michele- They don't get paid if it is a reality show. I am not sure what it is exactly but if it is like Survivor they only "get paid" if they win the prize money at the end.
Running around naked and being filmed and that shown on television is just flat out wrong. Have some dignity and pride in yourself. Smh

I watched that show once when James Franco and Seth Rogen were on it. It seems very interesting but personally not something I myself would do.

They actually ARE in life threatening situations. Even though there are camera people and medics in the area, there are often poisonous snakes, spiders, alligators, and bacteria that is lingering in many of those areas. Some of those snakes are the most poisonous in the world and you can die within an hour or so. Have you ever heard of people who have been infected with flesh-eating bacteria from just being in a pond or lake. Look at where some of those people are! One participant was still recuperating from a bacterial condition months later. Also, severe dehydration is no joke! If you already have an undiagnosed condition, going without food and water for such an extended period could seriously aggrevate it.

I have watched every single episode and I love it, although admit would never do it myself. But it certainly is real life situations. Of course there are camera crews who are not allowed to intervene, there is also an emergency number which they can ring if they wish to tap out but other than that, it is real! Unless they catch their own food, they will starve and I have made a mental note that the majority of contestants lose a pound of weight per day and they are stranded for 3 weeks. If they catch no food, they starve, if they cannot find water, they dehydrate. Therefore they have to find ways to catch rain water, if they need to drink out of a pond, they have to boil the water so it is clean from contaminants. If it is the rain forest, they will struggle to light a fire and so cannot boil the water. It is a constant battle to stay alive. They battle ground insects, some of which are deadly so it helps to build a bed above ground. They are only allowed to take one piece of equipment. Should they take a magnifying glass to start a fire or a machete to build a place to sleep? Should they bring a pot to boil water in or a fire starter? You can only bring one item. It's a great show. For the record, there is no prize money, just the satisfaction that you beat the odds when at least half of others tap out.

I never heard of this show, interesting.

I've seen the show and in no way will I ever consider doing what they do.

I have not watched this show and have no interest in it.
I love nature films/documentaries and the like.....but to watch a show with naked people in the woods....No thanks!

I don't like to watch TV show call Naked And Afraid. Thank You!

No, no, and no.

I haven't heard about or watched this show before

My wife loves this show and I have to admit I got sucked into it. The danger is all too real. I can't even fathom going through what these people do. However, my wife and I joke that it's the best way for us to lose weight.

While I have never watched the show, I have heard about it. You must be in a deep level of desperation to place yourself in such a situation (not only with an absolute stranger but to expose your body to such severe elements for 21 days). I may be financially strapped, but I am not THAT desperate.

I am pretty sure they have to have a physical before they go on these shows. You have to be relatively healthy. They would not accept someone for the show that had health issues. My point is there is hundreds of people besides them right there. There is a major difference in being bitten by a snake and help being already right beside you and being is a situation where you are in the middle of nowhere trying to survive with NO help in sight and actually surviving on your own.

I agree. It's basically the same as Survivor without the million dollars at the end. Oh, and they have no clothes on. The fact that they are naked probably gets a lot of people to watch it.

I love to watch the show but try it? NO! But that is the fun part you get to see someone else go through it.
