I like Florida, but not enough to live there. It is beautiful there, but it's too hot, too many storms
and too many large bugs.
-
No. There are too many people and too much crime.
-
I've been to Florida a few times but don't want to live there. We have to deal with tornados where I live and would not want to have to worry about hurricanes. It was beautiful though!
-
No. I don't like really humid weather. I bet winters are ok, but summer would be brutal.
-
I am already living in Florida.
-
I live in florida. If you worry about hurricanes its cause your negative and just worry. we haven't had a hurricane since 2006.
-
No, my brother lives there and sure, it's great in the winter, no snow, ice, or sleet. But the summers are way too hot and humid. And the bugs are huge!
-
I have several relatives who live in Florida and I like to visit them there in the winter months, but I wouldn't want to live there because of the humid heat in the summer and the bad storms they get there. Not to mention bugs.
-
I was born in Florida and have lived here or 59 of my 61 years. It is home to me and its funny when people say the negatives because I guess Floridians says the same about other states. I lived in NC for two years and it was too cold for me and too hard to drive in the ice and snow. I don't like the occasional hurricane but other places have worse tornado's I think. Oh well I guess we all have our preferences or what we get used to. 8)
-
I have never been to Florida so I don't know what the environment or the neighborhood and surroundings will be but there is always challenges in everywhere we travel. I do know there are alligators, crocks, and my worst nightmare the snakes over there so I would decline to move there just for the snakes.

Maybe so. But I know a lot of people who have moved away from Florida to get away from the high crime rate. Every state, city, county, town, they all have their problems. If you have people you have problems. People are good at not seeing what goes on in their own back yard and can see all the bad other places and in reality the issues are the same. I know a family that moved to my area and they came from Tampa and the reason they left was because there was a drive by shooting every night. I can say I don't recon we have ever had a drive by shooting where I live. lol
-
I just like to visit my family there.
-
I've never been to Florida but I wouldn't want to live there, but I will go some day with my daughter and visit the beach.
-
I have never really thought about visiting or living there for some reason. Just does not appeal to me. Maybe some day I will visit, but I really do like living the Southwest, even if we do have a few dust storms The beaches are pretty every where. But give me the mountains.
-
Since I'm such a beach baby, I can really see myself down in Naples, Sanibel Island, or Marco Island. If I lived there, this is where I'd be.
-
I would never want to live there - too much of the same temperatures year round. I do like to visit Florida though but haven't been there in a number of years.
-
Yes, I would travel and visit there.
-
NO
-
I love Florida! But if bad weather is an issue, when is the best time to visit Florida?
-
I love Florida, but not enough to live there. Between the weather (hurricanes, torrential rainstorms, etc.) and the wildlife (alligators, especially in the Southern region of the state), I am perfectly fine admiring the Sunshine State from afar. :-)
-
Travel? Yes (I go to Miami yearly.) Live there? No. Weather is too temper mental.
-
I would like to VISIT but not to live.I love California, but not everywhere.Close to Disney it is a nice place to live, not too hot,not too cold, between mountain and beach.
-
I love visiting Florida but would have a hard time moving there if I weren't retired. When I was in my early twenties I was in a bad relationship during college. I went down to Daytona Beach for spring break and didn't leave for a year. I finished my classes for the semester off campus from Florida and started going to school in Daytona. I picked up a job as a Dining Room manager, switched to bouncer and then became a bartender at a night club. I enjoyed my life down there but it was too solitary. The general population is way too transient. The weather can be disgustingly hot and humid. I loved the ocean but rarely saw it because I was either working or studying. Bugs were disgusting and things move at a much slower pace than I was accustomed to.
-
I would live in Florida but I would live anywhere so it don't bother me lol
-
visit only! lol
-
no wouldn't like to go there and definitely not live there, I dont do heat well, nor do I like the wildlife there lol
-
that's a myth about the storms. they are much worse in the middle of the us. its the islands off florida and the coast of the Carolinas that get the worst. our thunderstorms in florida are quick. they roll through and then are gone. except for a once in a while long raining day that is not really a storm.
-
I have been to Florida a couple of times. My daughter and I like St Augustine. It is hot and it rains at the drop of a hat. I also don't like that some of the homes don't have grass. They have rocks instead.

I'm a Florida resident but I don't live anywhere near any of the major cities. I actually live closer to New Orleans than I do any large city in Florida. I live in a smaller city that has a large population of military so we don't really have a lot of crime.
-
I used to live in Florida (Miami Lakes) back in the 90's for 3 years. I missed the seasons and it was very hot! I had no job and no drivers license. My husband always had the car for work and we never went any where. I think it's better to visit on vacation than to live there. Plus the economy is a lot less than in the northern states. Housing is cheaper but jobs are scarce.
-
I love to visit Florida; but, I could never live there!
-
I moved to FL from PA at the age of 21 just for school. I have been living here 11 years and do not see myself moving for now. I enjoy living here!
-
The weather and other conditions in Florida are the same where I live. The one thing I do find really appealing...no state income tax. So yeah, I wouldn't mind living there.
-
I like Florida, but not enough to live there. It is beautiful there, but it's too hot, too many storms
and too many large bugs.
I would like to visit Florida but not live there also. I want to take my son to all the Nickelodeon events and other theme parks they have there.
-
frequent visitor for the theme parks but wouldn't want to live there. Just too unbearable in the summer and in the winter I'd miss the snow
-
I have just returned from a wonderful vacation to Miami Beach and then up to Lakeworth to see old friends. I loved Miami Beach and had a great time in Palm Beach County with my friends.
I would consider moving there in time. As for bugs and heat, I live in Central Texas. it is hot and there are a lot of bugs. I do not think that Florida would be much different. Currently, we are having torrential rains and flooding. My friends in Lakeworth tell me that they seldom get hurricanes and when they do, the storms are mild or moderate.
-
Love to visit, not to live.
-
Kind of both but mostly just visit there
-
I have visited Florida. It's a nice place to visit but I enjoy the four seasons where I live now and would not have this in Florida. Florida for me is for vacationing only. ;)
-
I already live in Florida. It is humid and hot, but you get used to it.
-
I think it depends where you go in Florida. I think if you get away from the tourists it would be a great plAce to live.
-
Sadly, I really, really don't like Florida. As others have said, too many people. It's also waaaayy too hot for me.
-
Know pain
-
I have to go to Florida to visit family. There's too much wind and the temperature/humidity is awful. It's also flat and boring to drive.
-
I like to visit Florida, but I wouldn't want to live there.
-
Nice place to visit, but don't want to live there.
-
I love the beach so I would want to live there. My husband and I have talked about moving there before and still might one day. We are going down to the gulf in July and I can't wait.
-
I would love to visit there as I have never been. My family has been there on vacation and liked it but talked about how hot it was.
-
I scheduled a recent trip to Florida for a quick vacation, as far as living there I'm not sure but vacationing is doable.
-
I like to live in Florida. Thank You!
-
Like to visit ever few years would hate to live their. There is no changing of the season and I would miss that a lot if I moved.
-
No, I don't think I would want to live in Florida. I prefer to just vacation there.
-
LIVE IN!!! Live in, live in, live in!!!
-
I used to live there. My family moved to Florida from Georgia when I was around 3 years old.
Spent 30 years of my life in the same small town.
My son is still there. I'd like to visit, short term, but I wouldn't want to live there again.
-
I've heard of people moving there only to come back to Boston
-
I like to visit only, too humid for me.
-
VIsiting walt disney world thats it not living the id rather not be eaten thank you very much
-
I like Florida, but not enough to live there. It is beautiful there, but it's too hot, too many storms
and too many large bugs.
I have family there...so I would love to spend winters in the warmth of Fla. :)
-
I have never been to Florida. But it might be nice to visit for a little while. I am pretty sure I would not ever want to live there. I don't think I could handle hurricane season or any of the other craziness that goes along with living there (like extreme heat/humidity). Visit only thanks.
-
I lived there it is too hot and too many weird laws and people, just look at the news :silly:
-
Lol! I've no choice, live in fla!
-
I can handle Florida a few months out of the year.Maybe Dec/March.Never wanna be there in summer!!
-
I wouldn't mind visiting again but I wouldn't want to live there. My goal is to move to the Big Island, Hawaii some day....
-
I liv in florida, after 5 years you get tired of endless summer days and I came here for a job. I have to wait until I am 55 to get all the perks I want from my employer before I leave, but then am going back to Washington state, and getting so land out in the middle of nowhere and have my pony ranch. :rainbow:
-
I want to live on an Island and Florida is not it. Moving out of the USA sounds like a great bargain.
-
I used to want to live in new york or the east coast but not no more its hard as it is trying to live here in California
-
i live in florida love it moved here in 1977 and have not been back and have no plans on moving back there i love that i can wear shorts t=tops bathing suits when ever i want i do not like the cold
-
vist ok but live there no way it's to hot and to meany bugs their
-
Yes, I would love to live there!!I prefer the heat to the cold climate even if it does comes with humidity.
-
Hurricane season scares me, but it's a gorgeous state to vacation in.
-
I have been to Fla. 3 times. I would like to live on the beach. It is so peaceful. Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe. :)
-
I think I would love Florida about December through March and then back to Michigan. That kind of humidity is just too much for me. Also, when Florida gets hit with those hurricanes, it's a bit too regular for me.
-
I traveled to Florida once in the past. I liked it. The whether was nice. Since then I longed to move to Florida.
-
I love Florida, I do not mind the heat either, if for some reason I cannot go back to my country, where the temperature is always 85 then Florida will be my retirement place
-
nope to many bugs and dont interest me........
-
I would just go there for about a week then go home.
-
This is debatable. With the recent exposure on people losing their jobs at walt Disney world.
