We always had one, not huge but enough for us. One day before I went to work I went out and watered it, when I came home the garden was leveled! The critters ate it all! My plants that were growing nice were now just sticks. Needless to say that was the last veggie garden for me. Now I buy vegetables at road stands ir farmers markets.
-
I can't: if my dogs don't get to it, the rabbits do.
-
I do not have a big garden anymore. Just tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers. The rest I buy at the farmers market. The only thing I can are the tomatoes, cucumber relish and salsa. The rest I like to buy fresh all the time. Just the 2 of us and I can't see canning a lot more.
-
No. No garden. A pity really.
-
Yes
-
Don't have the space for it.. I did try growing small tomato when I was younger, but it quickly dead since my family went out to a vacation in canada
-
I usually plant flowers, but once in a while I'll plant some veggies. This year I'm trying to grow spinach.
-
Kinda but we mostly have herbs like mint, oregano, parsley, cactus, chilies, lemon/lime trees and other fruit trees.
-
We don't have a vegetable garden, but we do grow vegetables and fruit in summer. Last year it was tomatoes, strawberries, and herbs.
-
Not this year. I have given up. Between the heat, horrible soil, and chipmunks/squirrels it just doesnt happen for me.
-
I can't: if my dogs don't get to it, the rabbits do.
Oh, I feel your pain.
-
I have one every year. I'm disappointed this year. For one thing, it got very hot way to early and has stressed my plants. Also, because I live in central Calif, we are on a tight water restriction. That being said, I have harvested Italian squash, tomatoes, yellow squash, and potatoes. I love eating food I have grown.
-
One day I would like to have one. Right now I just go to the outside market and pick up all my veggies.
-
No but I wish I did.
-
No I do not, I wish I did because I love fresh vegetable.
-
No but my grandparents do and I love getting fresh tomatoes and lettuce and stuff like that.
-
I'm trying to.
I have peppers and tomatoes that I started from seed.
It's been a long time since I tried to grow vegetables, but I've been composting and building up my beds for the last couple of years, so I'm ready to grow something now.
See how it goes. :)

I have a large garden and the whole thing is fenced in to keep critters out. One day I saw a deer come in the yard and she jumped the fence and started munch on bean leaves. I had to shoo her out. The fence keeps the bunnys out...most of the time. One year a mother rabbit got into the garden and gave birth to 8 little ones right in the middle of the carrots. Very funny...and somewhat ironic I suppose.

Yes, I've had a vegetable garden for the last 3 or 4 years. Every year I perfect the art of growing vegetables, but what I have most success with, is tomatoes. I grow them from seed every year and in fact this year, when we were going on vacation out of state for a few days, I took my baby tomato plants with me. My husband thought I was crazy but there was no way they would have lasted those few days if they were not continually watered. The tiny seedling pots can't hold much water and I felt they would be better off travelling with me. When I got home, I planted them in the garden soil and they are now nearly 2 feet high and I've had my first 4 tomatoes pop through just this week.

I don't, but I would love to pick a fresh vegetable from a garden! :P
-
I don't but sure wished I did!!!
-
We don't have one but I have been wanting one. I think it would be a fun hobby and also relaxing.
-
No but my husband would like one.
-
My dad has one. He has one for ever. He grew up on a farm and learn all his gardening traits from that.
-
Yes! I live in a warm climate, so we have something always growing in it. At the moment, it's zucchini, a couple varieties of tomatoes and peppers, eggplant, and a handful of leafy lettuces and herbs.
I find that it's more stressful than relaxing. Diseases, bugs, squirrels...sigh. Some seasons are better than others. I probably wouldn't keep it up if I didn't have children to share the experience with.

I have never had a garden to much work
-
No but if i had the space or yard I would. I think it would be cheaper than purchasing and very convienent
-

-
No I don't. I never had one.

I try to have one every year and it is usually hit or miss. I am usually pretty good with the beans, peppers, tomatoes and weeds.
-
I have a small garden that I plant every year but harvest very little because of the heat or critters. I still enjoy seeing things grow.
-

-
oh yes..we were moving so we were late planting this year..but i did some tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers planted..all of my tomato plants have a tomato on them..a good size green one
-
Nope...takes too much time and effort...better for me to buy fresh frozen or canned
-
No. I don't like gardening at all, I have never had one.
-
My mother and I just put in a very small garden beside the parking lot of our apartment. We don't have a community garden, so we have to make do with what we have. Besides, it feels good to reclaim some unused land. The soil needs amendment; we've added bonemeal and we're going to get some fertilizer. We've planted tomatoes, peppers, borage, collards, zucchini, catnip, and flowers. I find the whole process very soothing and meditative. Plus, it's hard physical labour, which I quite enjoy.

No I do not but would love to have one in the future .. for now .. I just go to mom's garden and get stuff .. she always has way more than she can use
-
No I don't have a vegetable garden but as a child my parents always had a vegetable garden. Our garden produced many different types of vegetables which we preserved for the winter months. :)
-
We plant vegetables in all of the flower beds. We also plant of lot of things in one area, some things are ready when others are just stopping. We learned how to do it and what to put together on a gardening show on the Indian Channel (PBS). I works brilliantly and we get lots of vegetables.
