Title: portion sizes
Post by: Gerianne on June 16, 2015, 08:06:34 am
I noticed that there is just enough in the cereal pack of Cocomama for me to be satisfied.
The breakfast cookies I buy are just the right size too.

My idea of a portion is a little skewed.  If it's supposed to feed a family of four, I consider that an acceptable portion size for one.

Portion size's don't matter to me much, if I'm hungry I eat, if not I don't!  :silly:

I gotta be honest and say I really struggle with portion sizes. I've been eating way too much for way too long, and now I expect big portions. I've got to do something about it because right now, I'm 47 but I feel about 60. Someone gave me a helpful tip once where you should limit the amount of meat you eat to about the size of your palm.

It's easy to say you need to work on portion sizes.. but it's hard to manage portion control. .. which is actually essiential to lose weight.... I don't do much portion size / control because if i'm hungry i eat.. if i'm not i won't..

It's good though that you are realized they are right portion size for you that is good!

i don't measure portion sizes, but i do watch how i cook things these days.  i rarely fry anything anymore...i either broil, grill or bake pretty much all meats and we have grown to enjoy the taste better than way.

I'm always surprised  on how many portions are actually in packaged foods. There are foods that you would think are single servings and think that's a good amount of calories to eat but you really need to multiply it by 3 or 4.
