Can you still do that? After I got to be older, and I read the age of that person who died for example at age 69, I say that is too young.
-
75
-
60
-
102!!! ;) My grandma was 102 when she died and my other grandma is about to turn 102!
-
It's when the person feels old! Age is just a number.

I agree, anyone can feel old at any age.
-
You are as old as you feel I always heard. I am 61 which I don't consider old but I have health issues and mobility issues which make me feel older than I am. I just do the best I can with what I can do and try to appreciate that I am still alive and can get around on some level.
-
I guess I'd say 70 and above? I'm 56 and my kids tell me I'm old, yet more people are living up to 100 these days. But, no matter how you feel, if you've lived 70 or more years, then you're old!
-

That's what I was going to say. The body will do whatever the mind tells it so keep thinking young. :highfive:
-
I say it depends on how you feel. I am 72 and I still feel pretty good and can do a lot. Yes I have slowed down some, but if your mind says you can and your body lets you do it , I would say that is pretty good.
-
Feeling old is all a state of mind. Some people in their 80's are living their second adolescence.
-
it the way you feel. but if i had to say it would be 60
-
I guess 70+. My father passed away at aged 69 and I felt he was cut short of old age. On the plus side, he got to meet both my children and all but one of his grandchildren. But I agreed with your other reader who said age is just a number. I saw a ninety-something lady on tv this week doing some exercises on a bar, very successfully might I add, which I was not able to do in my twenties!
-
I would say 75 and above
-
Old is 10 years older than I am at any given time.
-
I would say the age of 80. I pick this a number because it is close to 100.
-
You're only old when you feel old.
-
old is when you can't do anything for yourself any longer.
-
well i suppose 70 .I remember at a store the checker was talking to someone and she said her son was 45 and the checker a man said "oh hes a baby" i myself was about 48 and i though how old do you have to be to consider a 45yr old a baby. Now at 58, 45 is a baby.
-
age is just a number your as old as you feel and yes some times i feel like i am 80 to 90 but then i get lots of comments on how good i look and they think i am in my early 40's but i will be 55 in december
-
I agree, aggie49, age is just a number! You are as old as you feel!
-
It really depends on the day. BUt, I always feel younger than I am. Sometimes it comes as quite a shock to realize that I am 60. So, about 40 I would say.
-
It's when the person feels old! Age is just a number.
I agree!
My mother in law is definitely a "young" 52, but I have a teacher who is an "old" 52.
It's all in how you feel and take care of yourself.
-
After reading this I'll feel pretty good at 77 (next month). I sure don't have any suicidal tendencies, but if a hooded guy comes riding up on a horse with a sickle in his hand, I'm not going to run and hide. I wonder if they will have Wi-Fi where we go next?
-
You're old when you're no fun anymore
-
When I don't want to make too much movement and fall sleep a lot.
-
I was taught in Human Development class that the average human starts to markedly decline at 80. So I think old is 80. Up until then you are just aging.
-
Age is just a number. You are as old as you feel. Some days I feel very old and some days a little younger. In a couple of weeks I will be 60 and that is so hard for me to believe.
-
I feel a little old at age fifty two. I did not feel old at age forty or age thirty but for some reason age fifty hit a little harder. My parents are close to eighty which is a good sign that I still have a lot of time left but not many younger people things can be done at my age. I can stay younger by exercising more. I read an article about how runners it their peaks at about age sixty five. My kids are growing up and getting ready to move on-my daughter moves out in August for her freshman year in college which leaves only two years left with my son. I think that the true sense of age is when things begin to break down and someone needs to spend most of their time going to see the doctor for various aches and pains.
-
I do not think it is so much about feeling old it is more about the things that you have been through to get to where you are at and that is what either makes you wise or weary.
-
in my opinion, old is 40yrs and up
-
It depends on the person. I think most people would consider you to be "Older" like 60 or maybe 55. Not that it means much as an average because I think everybody's definition is different! Peace brothas and sistas! :)
-
What age do I consider "old?" DEAD. :)
-
You are only as old as you feel...there is no number that is old. Whenever you feel old is when you are old.
-
It's when the person feels old! Age is just a number.
I would have to agree with you. Some people think once a person turns 30 they are starting to get old but to me that's BS. I think it just depends on many things like health and how you think you feel.
-
When I was younger I thought that age 50 was old. Now that I am older, I feel that 75 is old.
-
i think the age of 50 you start to feel your age.
-
I agree that "old" is often a feeling. My 75 year old aunt is more active than most people I know who are my age.
-
No age should be considered old if you don't want it to be.
-
I say around 21 after that its all downhill.
-
What age do I consider "old?" DEAD. :)
You betcha! I agree with that! Although I sometimes have days now...
-
I really don't have an age that I consider old. I have friends that are my age that think they're old (forties)..but then my mother is about to turn 79 and sometimes you'd think she was younger than me the way she acts lol. I believe it's more how you feel than how many years you've been on this Earth.
-
The optimist in me wants to respond with the old cliche "You are only as old as you feel". However, the realist/pessimist in me contends that 60+ is considered "old".

Don't listen to your pessimist.

I think in the 70's is old, but really it all depends on how you feel at that ever age you are. I could be 50 and feel like I am 60 or something. I just hope when I get to the 70's I can still be out and about and feel good.
-
it depends on what you're "old" for....though I would generally say 70s
-
Well I feel like 110 is old
-
It really depends on the person if they feel old or young. I"m 44 yrs old and I still feel like I'm 16 yrs old. I plan to continue to stay healthy, work-out, eat healthy ,
:peace:  :peace:
-
It is up to us how we feel inside. If you are 30 and feel like 70...you are old.
-
Age is just a number - you are the "age" you feel! If you eat right, exercise and don't smoke and only have an "occasional" cocktail I think you can live a very long, happy, healthy life! At least that's what I'm shooting for!
-
Not sure about feeling old as you get older. So what age for do you feel is old is in the mind of the individual. It all depends on your mind frame. Some people are 40 years old and feel old and then there are those in their 70's who feel young.
-
When I was 30 I thought 50 was old and then I turned 40 I thought 60 was old Now I am 72 and I think 90 is old, but sometimes my mind tells me I can do things that I used to do at 50 and my body goes you fool. Now that I am in what they call the golden years and it sucks. I am still very active and people think I am younger then I am but have slowed down at lot. Oh well such is life.
At least my mind is sharp enough to do Fusion Cash yet (thanks) So I am thankful for that.

75...................
-
My mother passed away shortly after her 60th birthday back in 2011. I still struggle with her passing. No one is guaranteed tomorrow.
-
Age is just a number, and you are as young as you feel. I think old is 100 years old.
-
I feel you have to be in your 80's to be classified as old. I am in my 60's and still feel relatively youngs - can still run 2 1/2 miles every other day and do everything I want to accomplish. I hope to keep this up through the 70's and not start slowing down until the 80's hit.
-
I can't really put a number to being old because everyone is so different. I view a healthy and active and fun person as perpetually young, while a person who is unhealthy, mean and decrepit looking, I see as old. Anyway, I keep raising the old threshold for myself.
I very rarely call anyone else old, especially to their face. I can't stand jokes making fun of growing old. I'm still waiting to embrace and be proud of my age, but I'm having a hard time with it. I'm just not that gracious. :notworthy:
That being said, I'm finally getting used to asking for the senior discounts, but I would like it if they carded me. However, they still sometimes card me for buying alcohol, and I always laugh when they do that. That threshold certainly has been raised. Ha! 8)
:fish:
-
i am 53,so that age changes the older i get...what i used to think was old isnt anymore
-
I think when I hit 30 years old I would feel old.
-
its not about how old you are. its about how old you feel!
-
I am 72 when I was young I thought that was old anyonen over a 100 I guess is old
-
You're as old as your maturity level & as old as you allow your body to feel
-
I've met 50 year olds who seemed older than 80 year olds so I think it really depends on your mental state. Physically though, if the person is average I'd say 60 is going into the "old" ages.
-
I'm obviously quite old but lucky in that I feel fairly good most of the time. Old is 30 to a kid and 70 to a middle aged person. My deceased husband was old at 40 and that's how he wanted it. By 40 he was acting 70 or 80.
-
Developmentally you peak in your mid twenties, so it is all down hill after that. I once heard it said, one you get your mind figured out your body falls apart!
But, there are so many variables that influence how well (or not) one ages, that it is difficult to assign a number. I have been sick for a long time with serious chronic ailments, so I have felt old since 20.
-
its not about how old you are. its about how old you feel!
Very well said!
-
I agree age isof 69 is too young but age but I don't feel my age.
-
I'm a firm believer in "you're only as old as you feel". Physical limitations exist, but mentality is what keeps you going. I've seen elderly people who act like they are in their 20s again, and people who are in their 20s act like they are 90! Age is just a number...it's all a state of mind!
-
I would say anything under 50 is getting up there :)
-
You can feel old at any age and feeling young happens the same way. I have seen some youthful spirits in old dogs.
-
depends on how you feel!
-
:) Being old is a lot of your outlook on life. I am 68 and my wife is 77. Neither of us can do what we used to but neither of us want to do what we used to do. I new I would always grow old but didn't expect it to happen this fast. :)
-
99
-
I feel it is up to you and not what others think.
-
It depends on the person really. Some people feel old in their 40's, some in their 50's and so on. I think now, in reality, people start feeling the aging around 70 or so.
-
I like to think that it depends on your health. What you eat and how much rest you get. It also has to do with stress.
-
We lost my father-in-law this past November; he was 97! And, up until about 6-9 months before he passed away he was still driving, exercising daily, doing his own shopping and visiting the local coffee shop every morning to help his friends solve the problems of the world. He never looked or acted his age; he was a great man! I only hope my husband and I will be in as good a condition when we get older. Not saying we'll make it to 97 but you never know. God willing, we will.
-
It depends on any given day but at 60 I am not ready to throw in the towel.
-
I believe we are only as old as we feel and age is just that a number.
