How many people on here took advantage of of the free update from Microsoft? Why or why not?
I took advantage of it.. because one.. it's free..
Two.. I had the preview and likes the look and feel of it..
I like upgrading for free.. (:

Wow~didn't know about it. How's the upgrade going?? Do you like it??
-
From what I've seen of it, I don't want to upgrade my Windows 7 laptop. But I did just get a Win 8 laptop, so I'm planning to go to the library tomorrow and upgrade that one, because Windows 8 is so awful that Win 10 should be an improvement. One thing that would have made me like Win 10 better would be if they had compatibility mode for Windows XP, which Win 7 does. I still have XP programs that I use, that are no longer available, but don't have any good equivalents.

I'm still waiting for the update. A lot of people must be taking advantage of the windows update that's why I haven't received my update yet.
-
I didnt take advantage, for one Im not sure I have enough room for it, and if not then have a big mess to clean up putting the old back on
-
I've had a little icon on my laptop reminding me of it but I had been leery of installing it.
-
not yet, i have to upgrade some of my desktop's specs and drivers first
-
I tried windows 8 and didn't like it at all, so I'm leery of 10

I went ahead and reserved my copy and everything's good to update right now. I wanted to get FC done first and check google to see if there's anything wrong with it before I update. At least the update's good for a year.

Dang I am still learning on windows 8, my old brain has a hard time of it at times. Am just not a geek on the computer. Oh well guess the old dog will have to learn more tricks.

I did and I can't wait! I'm actually very excited for Windows 10, and yes, it was free and will be for the next year. I use Win 8.1 now and love it. I'm just waiting for that little pop-up that tells me "it's time!" YAY!!!

I am looking forward to this upgrade of Windows 10 today.
-
I don't have window 10 so don't know how it's work. But my friend have it and they said they don't like it.
-
I did my upgrade today and I love it. Win 10 is a great improvement from win 8.1. I like Cortana and the new Edge browser. I enjoy this version so far. Cortana is my new best friend. LOL

I did my upgrade tonight just before logging in here.I haven't had time to do much with it,but so far it seems to be much faster than Windows 7.
-
will try it to see how it works

I have a 3yr old win 7 laptop. I have heard of the win 10 free upgrade but would like to know a little more about it before I take the plunge.
I have used windows 8 laptop and although there are some distinct differences, I believe if you are familiar with mobile devices, you can handle it.
-
I have an icon on the home laptop saying the it would upgrade but I want to wait a few weeks and hear of the outcome with the public before I take advantage of the upgrade
-
Everything sounds good about windows 10. I too have the same offer and I will use that offer.
-
I reserved my copy for the free upgrade but have not downloaded it yet. Going to do it though. Hopefully it will be easy to get used to. I remember when I first got Windows 8 and it took me a little bit to get used to it.
-
I did and of course because it's free
-
I am thinking about upgrading but I just want to make sure it is good.
-
i did! hopefully it won't be too much of a hassle. I like my windows 7. lol!
-
I received the notification but I didn't go through with it.
-
I find the upgrade underwhelming. It's nothing special. I still use it as if it was Windows 8.1
-
Didn't know there was a Window 10. How is it working for you and would you recommend it to everyone to use?
-
I reserved it because it was free. Given the disaster of Windows 8, I expect that Microsoft stepped up their game to upgrade Windows XP users and to win back users who went to Linux and Mac. Another thing about Windows 10 is the DX12, which a lot of people who play video games are hyped about
