This is at the very top of the page:
Overview
Advertisers are willing to pay for you to call them and inquire about their products/services. You should only participate if you have an interest in the product or service being offered. For example, if you do not own a car, you should not participate in an auto insurance offer. You'll be calling a company directly, and doing so will not put your number on any marketing lists, nor result in unwanted callbacks.
Do not believe this. I done one of these a while back and although I did not give them my phone number it showed up on their caller ID and they like to have drove me crazy calling me every day trying to get me to sign up for what they were selling.
Anybody else had this happen?
-
No, I never did that because I know once they get your number they will continue to call. Did you get the $$ after you did call?
-
I have done several paid to call offers and have never received any calls from them. Maybe I was just lucky.
-
This hasn't happened to me but I've only done it twice. I try to avoid these because I don't like making many phone calls.
-
This has happened to me. If the company calls repeatedly I will let them know that I am not interested at the moment.
-
I have that problem too. They keep calling you until I have to say that "I'M NOT INTERESTED" anymore. :)

Yes. I got the $2 immediately. But it did get annoying to receive a call every day asking me if I didn't want to sign up for their offer. It was for Nutrisystem.

I don't either. And it is hard when it is an offer to know what to say. And most times you do not know WHO you are talking to and you sound stupid when you just say "I found this on the internet".

I told her from day 1 I was not interested. But she kept calling. I realize they work on commission and the more people who sign up the more money they get. But I couldn't make her understand I didn't have the money to waste on that.

I did say I AM NOT INTERESTED. It didn't do any good. Got a call the next day. It's like "look, I am not trying to be rude and I have tried to be nice but if you call me again I will report you for harassment". Once you say you are not interested they need to leave you alone. I try to be nice to people who have to deal with the public because I know what it's like and how mean people can be. : (

I've had calls for things I did not sign up for or medical conditions I answered no to. Its irritating to no end, and I have to repeatedly tell telemarketers no, I don't need an ortho brace, no diabetes, don't own a car and never said I did, etc.

I have done paid to call offers but have never had any unwanted calls afterwards.

I remember doing a survey on car insurance and was assured they were not trying to sell me anything. The survey kept leading back to State Farm, which I use to have, but do not now. Since that survey I get at least 3 letters a week from every state farm office within a 100 mile radius trying to get me to insure my cars. I would NEVER use State Farm again.

I done several a long time ago. And I received a call back from 2. One where she kept trying to sell me something. And the other had to do with taxes. The guy was a real smart@ss. I told him I had to check with my husband before doing anything and he got really smart saying I should be able to make that decision myself. I didn't say I couldn't make the decision myself. I said I was going to discuss it with my husband. He called back once but I didn't answer the phone. And after the way he talked to me I wouldn't use their services for anything.

I have an unlisted number and got a bunch of spam and calls after but I just politely asked to be removed a they did.
-
thanks for lettn us know.
-
I didn't try this offer yet.
-
I cant even get them to work it says no such number
-
I did two or three of them when it first started up, got the $$$$ almost immediately, but as you said..they used caller id and continually called me even though I'm on the no call list. I stopped doing it after that.
-
I did a paid to call about Insurance before, and i never had any problem from them bothering me.
-
Nothing like that hasn't happened to me, but you should have blocked your number before calling so that they will see incoming call only on your CID.

It doesn't matter if you are on the do not call list if you call them first. I used the *67 and was surprised they still got my number and someone on here told me if it is an 800 or toll free number meaning they are paying for the call you cannot block your number from them. I did not know that.
@natahaspy - Yeah, it was easy money but not worth the hassle. I have not been offered one in a long time. A couple I done I called from a fax line so they couldn't call me back. lol. And I am always at a loss as to what to say and not sound stupid because you don't know who you are talking to. : (
