My garden started out great this year and then it was hailed on and never did well afterwards. Think I will pass next year and just get my tomatoes from my sis-in-law. She has a greenhouse and sells at the farmers market. I think I want to take some time off.

I stopped planting gardens a few years ago. Got very tired of all the work and expense only to find I was feeding animals. We have tons of farmer's markets around here so that's where we get fresh veggys and fruit.

We started putting more flowers in our yard because it's cheaper than grass right now. More garden space, the less grass we have to buy. Next year I'd like to experiment growing vegetables. Right now we have gladiolas coming up.

Good luck with it. I would so love to have a garden but unfortunately I have a "black thumb"...every plant I try to grow ends up dying. :(

I keep trying to do a garden and for the most part, I have not had much luck. I will not give up. The therapy is good for me though.

I feel your pain. Two years ago our garden flooded and I had to replant a lot. Then it flooded again and I had to replant again. Harvest was a little late, but we had our fresh vegetables. I suppose if it had flooded a third time, I would have replanted a third time. We gardeners just don't give up.

My dad has a garden and he has had many problems of the years. His newest one is deer keep coming down to visit. He built a fence 12 feet tall to keep them out. :peace:

I just noticed today that my yellow banana peppers and my red marconi peppers have baby fruit! Yea. I had to really work to get the banana peppers to take, they're in a difficult spot. Oh, I have a baby purple bell pepper too and my watermelon has new growth, after the squash bug attack! :rose: :rose: :rose: ;D
