My Ebay experiences use to be great, but lately it's been super lame and annoying ::)
Why don't they offer a live Chat option instead of only email and phone contact options? I mean who wants to talk on the phone and deal with those automated call system you know "press 0 now press pound and the infamous am sorry I didn't get that if you have a customer number please say or press it now" lol RRRR!
And it seems fraud is on the rise on ebay sellers are listing broken item and passing them off as gently used or new. oh and buyers are not innocent either winning auctions and refusing to pay or trying to delay payment
Though I must admit some of the listings are strangely hilarious I saw several listing that stated that the item had minor damage from normal wear and tear but upon viewing the photo's it looked far from minor wear in fact it looked as though someone dropped the item and decided to do a terrible DIY job with a hammer lol I was thinking wow that's minor damage? yikes
And beware of sellers that use stock photo's or use the same pics they took for another big ticket items, oh and what's with listing used items for retail price It's? USED NOT BRAND NEW! why are you listing a item that has decreased in value for the same price as retail stores
Example brand new item that retails for $179 plus free shipping,
Ebay example sellers are listing used item with scuffs also without retail packaging for the same price and that includes a high shipping fee of $15.00 what!? why would anyone buy a used item with no warranty plus $15 shipping fee for the same retail price what kind of sense does that make!? the whole point of shopping ebay is to get a good deal meaning good items at a discounted price or bid not pay more or the same price for used goods.
Anyway i'm fine now all yoga and zen now haha what has been your general experience with ebay would you like to share? it's ok we can do some yoga breathing to get through our frustrations ;D

My experience over 15 years has been excellent and I buy and sell on there all the time. You just need to keep in mind that Ebay doesn't buy or sell anything, they are just an advertising resource.
-
My experience on eBay has been good overall. I had an issue with one item I bought, but the other ones have been fine.
-
I've had good results. I had a problem once, but it was easily resolved between me and the seller. I think sellers are willing to work with you so you don't give them poor feedback.
-
I haven't had any major problems on ebay, either as a buyer or seller. Once I realized that buyers WILL claim non-receipt of they see there's no tracking number, I just always make sure I send the packages with tracking. As a buyer, I'm pretty careful about my purchases, and research thoroughly before buying.
-
It's been ok a little slow but I only have live 60 or 70 items right know.
-
I am very pleased with eBay....I am a seller and sell regularly.
I always give the buyer the tracking information promptly.
I do good customer service when there is an issue.

My experience as a buyer has been excellent. I can't say that I've purchased hundreds of items but the items I have purchased have been great. Usually quicker shipping than I expected and the item was cheaper than buying from a retail store. We're close to retiring and are trying to minimize our life in anticipation of a move, I was hoping to get rid of some items I have on ebay but haven't been so lucky with selling. Have a major collection of Nutcracker items that I am hoping to sell when the Christmas season begins. Hoping I can be successful but the fees are making it more difficult to price items reasonably.

I like Ebay! I started off as a buyer and will continue to purchase things on there from time to time and have recently placed items on there that I'm selling but haven't made any sales yet probably due to my higher prices than others. Twenty dollars profit is really all I'm looking for, it's hard to compete against those giving stuff away, I don't get that, what's the point? I'll keep trying though. Perhaps when the holidays come around, I'll find my buyers.

I haven't been buying as much on EBay as I used to but really haven't ever had a problem with anything except the plastic mattress covers but that was my fault for getting them. I didn't think about the sheets sliding right off the bed.
-
I haven't used ebay in years but when I did use it I never had any issues with it.
-
In the past, I have had good experience. I recently bought an item. The seller sent me the wrong item and I am trying to resolve the matter. He has not responded to several attempts I've made to contact him.

have bought a few things and had good experiences .my son sold a playstaion membership ,he emailed the code of the g.c and ebay wanted to know when we would send the card.so i emailed ebay saying we emailed to the buyer the code.now the payment is in paypal and its pending. have some old comic books in fair condition doesn't seem like they get many buyers i don't want that much for them.will see if i put them on.

At one time I was doing a lot of selling on ebay. Never had a problem except for 2 items. Both were plates. I somehow got them mixed up and sent to the wrong buyer. Called and talked with both buyers and told them if they would just send the plates to each other I would pay for all expenses. Well they did and yes I paid for the extra shipping and all. Both buyers where happy and continued to buy from me. But I have not done any since I have moved and have been toying with getting back into it, but I need a better printer then what I have so my next item to buy is another printer and all in one for the pictures. This one is a bear to get it all done right.

I have both bought and sold and most of my experiences have been very good. I had one bad experience with a buyer that didn't understnd that "used" and "new" were not the same thing. Instead of contacting me she just left me bad feedback. Not that the feedback system really works that well in my opinion... just frustrating because I would have just refunded her if she would have contacted me.

i have recently started to get busy on ebay recently. i go to a lot of auctions and get some great stuff. it is just finding the time to list some stuff and do research on stuff so i dont under or over price
-
I've only had a small amount experience with them. and each time they kept me notified and did what they said they would do.
-
Most of the time it's been pretty good. I only had one issue when the seller insisted I pay by Western Union even though I wanted to use Paypal and the fraud department had to get involved.
-
I have never used ebay and probably will not I just think there are much better sites available for those needs right now.
-
I've had positive experiences buying and selling on eBay. The feedback rating feature seems to be a good idea because most people care about their reputation. As a seller, I always ship with a tracking number so I have confirmation of delivery when the buyer receives their item.
I have enough experience that I know how to cover my own rear end.

I have been earning online for over 15 years and never seen anything that comes even close to what Ebay offers, so if you know better ones please do tell.

I have always had good experiences on ebay. My friends recently did not, do not sell internationally and you should be good to go!
-
My experience have been ok, the stuff I order is for phone or computer, so it has been ok.

I've been selling on eBay for a little over 12 years now. I've had very good experiences and maybe a hand full of bad experiences with customers. Over all, eBay is great when it comes to making a few extra bucks but some times their fees kill you! And then you have PayPal fees as well. They go hand in hand but I love selling and making my customers happy! Look me up on eBay! :) kim_rivas

I have buying and selling on Ebay for about 13 years and have really never had a problem. The biggest thing is know what you are buying, ask questions, inspect pictures carefully and if it doesn't feel right don't bid. I have only had 1 buyer that was a potential problem and I just cancelled the sale. She didn't read the ad or inspect the pictures until after she bought it (there was buy it now). There was a flaw (hence the great price). My one gripe is how many regular retailers have stores on Ebay. They can ruin the market for used items when they start dumping last years model at discounted prices.

While I tend to have the mentality of "Hope for the Best. Expect the Worst", I have had some pretty decent experiences with eBay.
-
so far all of mine have been good...hope they stay that way
-
Mines has been mostly good I can count out of 100 times on one hand how many bad experiences I had I been blessed to have been doing business with good sellers
-
good no problems so far
-
Well, I've never had any problem with e-bay or any of the sellers on there.
-
I LOVE Ebay!! I haven't had very many problems on there at all, Ebay & PayPal both are EXCELLENT!!
