Sad to say, but most of the ones where you need to spend your own money are scams

Sorry it probably a scam. I wouldnt pay any one upfront so they can eventually send me a paycheck.  That just sends up a major red flag.

My bro tried to do something like this and they kept taking money out of his account he used to sign up. Any job you have to pay for is more than likely a scam.

I hope it all works out for you. I have found that the sites that require you to pay to work for them are scams. I paid $49 a few months back to be a full time data entry person for one site. I did the work everyday....for several hours per day 7 days a week for 3 1/2 months. I FINALLY reached the $1000 payout and requested payment. A few days after sending my payment request, the site no longer recognizes my username or password. I have since learned to check with places like the work at home list available free online. It is a forum where members share their thoughts on scams and scam free opportunities.  I am not certain wether the company you signed up with is the same as the one I used, but I hope not. efore doing too much work for them, research them thoroughly.

Congratulations and good luck with the baby!!

Last year, I paid $49.95 + $59.95 for a data entry online position and to be an on line host.  Guess what- it was a complete scam.  All of the sites I tried to access were not available.  I did some research and nothing negative was found about the site-too far under the radar I guess.  You live and learn. If you have to pay money out of pocket-IT IS A SCAM.   :BangHead:

My opinion about Paying money to work is real scam, if u ask me i wont have paid money, bcoz why shud u pay money and earn some more. think, b4 you pay, u ask a question to those people who ask money, "i will start working, take the money from my income i make?" noone will stand bcoz itz only for thier income they ask you to pay then u loose the money.....

So My point is DONT PAY MONEY TO EARN MONEY.....

I agree that companies who employ people from home should not charge people to work for them. However, I recently made a career change. I ended up paying $300 before I could work for the company. I know it is legit though. I have already made my inital investment plus some in a few short weeks (and I took an entire week off to go on a last minute vacation.) The reason I had to pay was to further my education and become licensed to work for the company in my state. So, MOST employers asking prospects to pay before they work is a complete scam, but not ALL.

I vote scam.  I doubt you'll ever hear from anyone from there again or get your money back.  I hope it's not the case but one rule everyone should follow is to never ever pay money for work.  That should be the first red flag.  I have not heard of any kind of "data entry" that was legit.

if you have to pay to get a job just delete the site its a scam
watch those secret shopper jobs too. i just applied for one that sounded legit. i got my first job offered and it sound ok but i rec'd a check from them for 2900 and they want me to keep just 200 and send they rest via wester union to another person. THESE ARE SCAMS. the cks turn out to be fake or are drawn on a closed acct or non existant acct.
why would anyone investigate western union problems with that much money give me  a break i am not stupid. i am not cashing this check i am turning it over to my local police dept
the funny thing is these people are not too smart. the least they could have done was find out how to write a check b4 they try to scam people. the check looks fake. al check always has the amount in words and numbers this check only has words no numbers on it at all!!!!!!!!!!!!
