I think House Speaker John Boehner should have stepped down after the last government shut down which personally I think he handled all wrong. So now he’s stepping down (of course) right before another government shutdown. Clearly he didn’t know how to do his job since I don’t recall EVER the house not being able to pass a budged two consecutive years in a row. So somebody had to leave and like in football, its usually the head ring-leader.

I hate regular cooking shows like the Rachel Ray show. First off the professional chef is going way to fast to follow so you have to dvr the show because there is no way to cook while they are. Second they have an already made dish on the side that is prepared to perfection so that you never see the finalized one of the dish they are making while being filmed. Third unless the dish is really simple, even if you follow the instructions the dish really comes out the way the professional made it. That’s why I just prefer getting a recipe off the internet and doing it myself rather than watching one of those. It gets to be a hassle.

He has not been able to get his party together to be effective at all. I am almost surprised they didn't get rid of him sooner.

The post office lost my sprint bill so I figured I’d set up an on-line profile since I can print out a bill an mail it to them. (I think mailing a check is much safer than a possible on-line hack.) First it wouldn’t take the phone number so I had to put in the account number. After I put in a password and username I typed the email. Three times I tried and all three times as soon as I finished typing the email then hit the next button I got the same error message: Oops. Something Happened. Give us some time while we drag out the toolbox and fix the problem. Then nothing would happen. So I set up a sprint live chat. Anyone who’s done this knows how it goes. You give your name, email and then a reason for the chat. So That’s exactly what I did. I typed, every time I try to finalize the online profile the website gives me the same error message: Oops. Something Happened. Give us some time while we drag out the toolbox and fix the problem. When I finally got a representative the first thing she did (after I gave her the pin number and security question answer to prove I was legit) was to give me a website that didn’t exist. She claimed sprint.com/register was how you get to the registration form (the same one that was giving me problems). That weblink doesn’t exist and I told her so. She told me it’s my browser and to switch. I told her I was on Google but to humor her I switched to Internet Explorer. It gave me the same thing as Google: It’s mysprint.sprint.com. From there you open the registration link. She told me you put www.sprint.com/register in the url box. I snapped that I’m not stupid and did just that and got nothing. Sprint changed it to mysprint.sprint.com. That’s when she told me she was looking for the registration page. So I went back to mysprint.sprint.com. Which opened the registration page—the same one that did not work the first three times I tried. So I started to type the phone number. This time it took the phone number. But after I typed the my email, I got the same error message as before. That’s when I snapped at the representative: I got the same error message as before [then I typed the error message]. That’s why I set up this chat! Not that I didn’t know how to do it, but that it wasn’t working! That’s when she finally understood and set it up for me. That took two minutes and worked. I just had to get another 28mins of aggravation. So much so that by the end I was thinking of that old phone commercial that goes, ‘Reach out and touch someone’. I just want to reach out an choke someone.

I wish I could decide on a good pair of training shoes. :( My Skechers aren't ideal for weight-lifting. Ah, well.

Anybody else use the lousy Apple Software? It took me an hour just to manually load two albums! The stupid software won’t allow me to just manually add to the ipod. It has to go through everything, all the apps then all the movies, tv shows then music. I’ve looked for a way to try and turn all that off so I can just sync what I want not everything in the Itunes/cloud software but to no avail. It’s really starting to get me frustrated.

Honestly if Biden doesn’t run for the presidency, I’m going to vote for Trump. Trump is the only one out of the bunch who’s a strong enough person to tell off Congress whose job is to do really one thing only and that is to pass a budget because the American people are really only interested in one thing and that is their job. When they wake up in the morning they don’t want to wonder if they will still have a job or will they wind up at home indefinitely with no pay. Trust me, when you’re unemployed you don’t care about who recycles or how much pollution is in air or whose homosexual and should or should they not get married. What you may care about is immigration because a ‘fence hopper’ is being give a job that should belong to you. And why? Because for mere pennies someone can hire an illegal rather than knowing they will get stuck having to pay minimum wage to a citizen of this country. We’d honestly have less people ‘fence hopping’ if a law was passed that you had to prove your citizenship or your ‘legal right’ to be in this country in order to get a job and you had to speak the ‘Mother Language’ English. What really pisses me off the most about that is how everyone is up an arms about slavery. It’s always ‘take down anything some idiot thinks represents slavery.’ How it’s wrong to own someone else. Those people who are so against slavery don’t even blink when they hear a farmer out in California has nothing but illegals working for him. He hires illegals because that’s what he can afford to keep his farm going. It was the same thing for Southern plantation owners. They paid for the worker once, they day they bought them. Then they never had to pay again. It’s cheaper with the one and done rather than every so often having to pay their workers. Even at the cheapest price the amount they had to pay all of their workers they wouldn’t be able to keep their plantation. If you think they could then talk to all the farmers no-a-days who hire illegals then get back to me.
Now I’m not saying I’m for slavery. What I am saying is it was a necessary evil for the plantation owners of the south the same way farmers of today hire illegals. What I am saying is I’m against both, slavery and hiring illegal’s. I know the argument there are crooks in the immigration department and bribes will get you in far easier than the honest way, but the majority of the illegals coming here aren’t even here to be American. They are here to take our jobs away and send the money back home to ‘their country’. No one would want to come here illegally if you couldn’t do that. If a law was passed that you want to work here you can be an automatic citizen but that means you sever all ties with your old country. No ‘sending money back to the old country’. You’re here, that’s it. If you have a family you bring them here to live, but that’s it. Hence, if you’re against Southern slavery you have to be against hiring illegals. It’s the same thing. Trump was honestly the only one brave enough to make that connection and speak out about it, and while he pisses people off, I think he’s the only one who can get Congress off their butts to do what needs to be done.

I hate going to the dentist. No matter how clean my teeth are the dentist always picks and scraps for at least an hour. I wind up coming out in so much pain that I can’t have anything but soup the rest of the day and can’t brush my teeth. I have to use salt water the next few days until my gums heal enough to brush. Just want to know, who actually walks out of the dentist with a ‘just dentist clean feeling’? I don’t think anyone except in the commercials trying to sell you toothpaste or whitening.

So I had just gotten in line at the Michael’s craft store when a cashier comes around the cash registers, looks at me and says, ‘I can take you on 5.’ The woman who was ahead of me in line starts bitchin’ ‘Really? You’re going to take someone who just got in line over somebody who’s been standing on line already?’ I just thought, ‘That’s Karma for you. You were next in line with one item and it wasn’t like you were on line for long that you were justified in bitichin’ and still you wanted a line to open just for you?’ On no. You try to *bleep* slap the world it slaps back. That’s the way it works.

Went to JcPenny’s with my mom. Now she’s one of those people that likes clothes to have a certain plain look. (I mean she feels naked if the collar on a blouse is to open or wide.) For that reason she is hard to shop for. She doesn’t like anything stylish or ‘flashy’. She’s not even open to all colors. I just happen to find in JcPenny’s the St. John’s Bay sweaters. Not only where they just what she would wear but they were nice and heavy for the winter.

I just found on YouTube a really nice video of simple Halloween nail designs. What I really liked was the fact that they were simple. Most of the nail how-tos claim they are simple but they are in fact being done by a professional with a degree in art design and not afraid say that. Then when you try to do their ‘simple’ designs it comes out nothing like what they had drawn. The video I managed to find was just a simple person wanting to paint their nails for Halloween and used simple lines and triangles that anyone with either hand can create.

Anything? You mean I could complain about work or about how chilly it is outside or that it is payday and I already am broke after paying bills, how is that?
-
I think out of all the clothes out there, I like jeans the best. They aren’t seasonal and they go with anything.

Don’t use the color hairspray. I used the one in the short fat cans (can’t recall the company) but not only does the color fade so you have to put it on right before you go out but the mess! It burns the skin and drips onto the face more than it goes on the hair and it splatters. I got it all over the bathroom door and wall. It took bonami and a good scrub to get it off! Never again. I’m using a wig next year.

Worried about getting my blood work results this week. Hoping and praying everything's okay.

Have you ever done reverse trick or treating?
I tried that this year. It's when you dress up in a Halloween costume and take a basket of goodies around to people you know. You ring the door bell and when they open the door......
You ask them to choose a treat. I like to do this with my adult friends who are usually pleasantly surprised.

Jennifer Lawrence from the Hunger Games fame looks so stupid with the platinum blond hair she dyed it. Against her skin coloring it makes her look like a cheap ‘beach babe’ from all those beach movies done in the ‘50’s and ‘60’s.

So beginning to hate Windows 10 and I’ve only had it a week. Why, every time I open a new window, does it have to shrink all the other windows I already have open just so that I can click on the one window I just tried to open? It drives me nuts!
-
Don’t get offended when I call you black when you call me white. And native Americans? They practically invented the term ‘White man’ So why are you going to turn around and get pissed when we call you ‘red skin?’
-
It just pisses me off that ‘fence hoppers’ can come into this country have babies, or get all the medical care they need while veterans who are wounded, physical or mental, have to go through red tape and paperwork for months before getting treatment! Who wouldn’t want to come into this country when we treat outsiders better than our own?
-
Stop playing the race card just because a black person is the victim and a white person did the crime! It ain’t racism when a white person goes into a church and shoots up a bunch of black people if a black person goes into a church and shoots up a bunch of white people and it’s just called a ‘violent senseless act’! It’s not racism if the only reason it’s a crime is because blacks are the victim! That’s Blackism! It’s not racism! Racism is any heinous act committed against a ANY race by ANY OTHER race simply for being a different race! THAT is how Martin Luther King Jr. and Reverend Jessie Jackson defined it! That is how it is defined! Don’t organize a march to free a bunch of black kids who put a white kid in the hospital if you won’t organize a march to free a bunch of white kids who put a black kid in the hospital! And don’t call the marchers to free the white kids racist if you won’t call the marchers to free the black kids racist! It’s not racist unless you can clearly claim the act would still be considered racist if the races involved were flipped! Stop playing the racist card when you mean Blackism! Stop telling me white cops are racist when a black kid dies on the way to jail if Black cops are involved with the death of a white kid or a Hispanic kid on the way jail and the matter is just ‘being looked into’! Racism doesn’t mean white on black. It’s EVERY race against EVERY OTHER race! This is why I thank the good L-rd for being color blind. I see an idiot going to a church and shooting up people. I see cops who might be involved in the death of a kid on the way to lock up. I’m not saying racism doesn’t exist, but I’m say if you can’t view it the way it was meant to be viewed, the way King and Jackson viewed it as one race against another one and only see it when a black is the victim then it ain’t racism, it’s Blacksim and that is not what Martin Luther King Jr. died for, not what he believed in or represented!

Hate Microsoft Windows 10. It keeps dropping my hp printer! I had a computer and it was loaded with Windows 7. While I didn’t like it as much as Windows XP it was still the next best system they made. Microsoft stopped doing updates for 7 and stuck me with 10. Now every time I turn on the printer I have to check and see if it’s connected! I hate it!

Why did the change the Personalization settings on Windows 10? It was so nice before. All you had to do was go to the control panel and click on Personalization and it gave you list of themes which could easily be changed with the menus right there underneath it. Now you do that all it gives you is the themes. I had to watch a video to figure out how to change everything. Now you still have to click Personalization but not the Personalization from Control Panel it’s the Personalization from Settings. Why have two? Why couldn’t they just leave it all in one? And the video didn’t even tell me how to get the slide show screen saver. I had to figure that out myself by clicking the arrow tab next to the menu that said ‘picture’ in the Settings/Personalization window.

How fun!! Never heard of this one, but it sounds so nice.

Agreed. You ever notice how we all have a that favorite pair of jeans? I hate when they are in the wash. :(

Complaint: Where did October and November go? I am not prepared to be approaching Thanksgiving!!

I can't believe it is almost a new year.

I love the cord wraps by Dotz! Not only do they keep the cords tidy but they are also labeled so no more trying to figure out what wire goes to what electronic.

I hate Microsoft 10. I had windows 7 on my machine and lately the sound has been muted even when I didn’t hit the mute button so I figured all I had to do was update the sound drivers. Well when I went to do the update it wasn’t an update. It was ‘no updates for 7 anymore here’s 10.’ I figured I had no choice and upgraded to 10. That’s when I lost ¾ of all my programs. They either had to be reinstalled or reactivated (which in itself was pain because I had to scramble around to find the activation codes). Every time I clicked on one of my programs, it either wouldn’t work or ‘claimed’ to be open so i couldn’t open it again.
-
I know it was free, but why did Microsoft feel the need to shove Windows 10 into people’s faces? Why don’t they take into consideration it’s a SYSTEMS program which means it affects everything on the computer! People use more than just Microsoft programs—which are the only thing I found so far that works without a reinstall. I loved Windows XP. I still think it’s the best systems program they created. Vista was the worst. 7 I enjoyed the second best. That’s what I had until Microsoft stopped doing updates and did an upgrade instead. I’ve been stuck switching from 7 to 10 and found that most of my programs when I try to open them, don’t work. 10 didn’t erase anything but my programs act like it’s a whole new computer and it was never installed before. My itunes icon and library was still there but I couldn’t access them. I had to acknowledge the computer had access to my library (thanks Apple for allowing more than one computer on an account). My Magix programs and my Nero programs (which I have several) all had to be reactivated. My audio cleaner didn’t even work. I had to by the latest version an install it. I lost a bunch of games like Medieval Sims—which EA just said to delete it from the computer and reinstall it from their account. I did and it still wouldn’t go. I even lost Norton. Thankfully I always get the one for multiple machines. I had to delete all traces of Norton then ‘re’ install Norton to get it to work. Just been a pain these past couple of weeks trying to get all my programs to work off 10 that did run perfectly on 7.

I usually make my own Christmas gift tags because either the ones sold are too big or just not my taste. I usually use the Avery Design Pro 5 to make the labels. When Microsoft upgraded my system from 7 to 10 I couldn’t get the Avery Design pro 5 to print aligned. On the label sheet it literally printed crooked (though it printed straight and aligned if I stuck in a regular piece of paper). So, I downloaded the Avery Tab into Word. I then transferred the pics I used from Design Pro into the Word Avery Tab and printed. It worked. If I just raised the top margin up to about a .04 or .03 rather than leaving it at the .05, it would have been perfect. The left and right margins fell right into the label.

I’m really getting frustrated with Windows 10. It seems to be killing any program that either Microsoft gives you their version of (like since it give you CyberLink Power DVD 10 it kills Corel WinDVD, which is what I always used) or it kills the programs that can be integrated into Microsoft (like it kills Design Pro because you can download Avery Wizard into Word so you don’t need the separate program.)

Just bought a cheap set of nail brushes and dotters (well most nail sets are cheap). I’ve been following easy nail painting tutorials off YouTube and with a steady hand my nails look almost professional. I have to say it’s much cheaper (if you have the time and patience) to do it yourself then constantly go to a nail salon.

wow, today is Nov 24th, time is flying by this year!! I have my grand daughter this week, she is keeping me in line, lol

Today is black friday and the day to stay away from the crowds.
-
I wish my daughter said Happy Thanksgiving Mom :(

I am almost terrified to open a program on my machine now and see what doesn’t work. I’ve lost a lot of programs when Microsoft upgraded 7 users to 10.

I’m not really into scented candles but I do use the scented wax candles. I think they less are easier to clean up (all you do is pour the melted wax from candle heater back into the plastic container square it came from) and less of a fire hazard (you don’t have to worry about putting it in a spot where it might be bumped into where it could fall) and cheaper since you can reuse the same wax over and over again. I usually use the ones from Better Homes and Garden. They take longer to melt and have a stronger smell then some other brands.

I totally agree with u. Less hazardous, I believe the smell is even better smells/longer lasting too! I do like the flicker of the candles but have found the fake flickering candles seem a great option when u want the flickers.

Can’t believe how early the Christmas sales started. I mean I was getting advertisements the day after Halloween!
-
Honestly how much do stores expect the consumer to spend? From Halloween on there have been nothing but sales. Most people don’t have a ridiculous amount of money to spend on lots of stuff. And most of it probably won’t even be used by this time next year!
-
I’ve gone out on Black Friday and it’s crazy. Not just the crowds but I’ve seen people in Bed Bath and beyond just loading up their carts. It wasn’t that they needed the stuff they were just grabbing it because of how ridiculously low the price on the item was. How can anyone shop like that?
-
I always start Christmas shopping early in Nov. especially if I have to order something on-line. I always worry if it will arrive on time even if express shipping is offered.
-
So switching from Windows 7 to 10 I finally found out how to alter the color on the task bar. I think I’ll have to switch to High Contrast if I want to change the highlight color. It’s the standard blue right now but I’m afraid if I switch to high contrast it will mess up all the other settings and I’ll have to watch a video to figure out how to go back to what I had.
-
Doing DIY designs on your nails isn’t bad it’s just the drying time. I never know layer on layer how long to let the bottom dry before putting the top layer on without the two blurring together.
-
Still dwelling on my daughter not wishing me a Happy Thanksgiving, after all we have done for her over the years...ok I need to shake it off shake it off grrrrrrrrrrr
-
I like going to Church this Sunday. I haven't been able to attend for a while because of my work schedule but Now I think I can sacrifice a little bit of time before I can get some sleep. I have seen people on Black Friday going out early for shopping but if that was a time Church starts, everyone would be going to church late or not at all.
-
I still have to get gifts for extended family and it seems like the easiest thing is to get gift cards.
-
It’s crazy but sometimes when I try to charge the Ipad Air 2 in a hub it don’t charge. I’ll leave it plugged in overnight and it won’t be charged by morning. I know it’s not the hub because the same hub I use to charge the Ipod and it works fine. I guess it’s picky and wants to be charged by a wall outlet instead since it always charges when I do that.
-
Can’t believe Microsoft 10 killed my graphic’s board. It’s one by Bamboo and it worked fine under Windows 7. All I can do is try and reinstall it. I hope that works because I really don’t want to go out and by a new one. It’s not like Microsoft is going to reimburse me for all the money I have to spend on new upgraded programs to the ones I had that worked find under Windows 7. Lousy Upgrade!

Seriously, every Christmas I have to watch Mickey’s Christmas Carol. I love it and think it’s the best version out there! But then I just love cartoons and the fact that everyone remains within character though doing the Dickens’s story.
-
So my younger brother called on Thanksgiving to say what to buy his daughter for Christmas. Now she’s five (will be six in Jan.). So she’s in that toy phase. She is really into those interactive FurReal toys and this year she wanted the winged StarLily unicorn. Telling me then ordinary wouldn’t be a problem (though I prefer to start shopping in early November.) except StarLily happened to be the hottest toy for girls this year. I swear it was a real life version of the Christmas movie Jingle All the Way with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Of course I didn’t have to drive from toy-store to toy store I just looked it up on line. All the Targets, Toys R Us’s, and the Walmarts in town were sold out. So were the toy shops in the next town over. The closest one that had it was a half-hour out. Luckily when I got there, there was still plenty to choose from. I was a little upset I had to find it myself because the woman stacking the shelves (in the toy department) had no idea what I was talking about but at least I got it.
-
Of course DC is lighting the national Christmas Tree before Lighting the National Menorah even though Hanukkah is the first and second week of Dec. While Christmas is at the end of the month.
-
I can’t believe how little there is in stores for Hanukkah this year. Here in VA, in several stores, it’s only a dinky little shelf in a midway section of the store, or it just a bottom shelf in a hide-a-way section of the store. Ok, it’s not like us Jews buy a lot for Hanukkah but still. Don’t we have a right to stuff the way Christians for Christmas do?
-
When I wrap gifts, doesn’t matter for who or what occasion, I have to put a ribbon on it, not just a bow. I was taught that way by my grandmother and now that she’s gone I feel the only way I can truly honor her is to wrap the way she taught me. It’s sort of like a family tradition now.
-
I prefer to print out my own gift tags rather than get some from the store. Not that I make them more personal it’s just that I can never find the size I need or a picture I actually like on those generic ones. Plus, I can never find any real ones for other holidays besides Christmas like Chanukah, mother/father’s day or Birthdays and I hate shopping on-line. That’s honestly how one racks up so much credit card debt.
-
Omg I am so sick of working! I swear I cannot do this for another couple of decades I refuse. I need to get my butt in gear and start figuring out a home business I can do by myself. I need to start figuring out how I can retire early.
-
don't balm the seek the house speak it the bum Obama and his wasted spending' on thing that are not good for most of us only his bum and frinds
-
I use Zazzle all the time. I can personalize any item I want and the prices are reasonable. I can use pics I have or even create clip art using PowerPoint and just upload my creation to a t-shirt, greeting card, or any other items I want. It’s honestly a great way to not only give gifts that are personal but also a great way to get that t-shirt you want that says exactly what you want it to say.

I’m not a coffee drinker but I do like tea. I guess I got that from my Grandma on my mom’s side and by Great-Grandma on my dad’s side because they were the only ones in the family that drank tea. Everyone else is coffee drinkers except my younger brother and his wife, but they don’t drink tea either.

I have a Samsung 5.1 CH 3D Blu-Ray Player (the HT-E6500W model). I bought it back in 2012. The problem is with the current updates Samsung released for this model it is slowly losing its ability to play regular DVD’s. I got stuck having to go out and by a regular DVD Player because of this. I say it’s slowly losing its ability to play regular DVD’s because when I stick in a regular disc I have to take it out and stick it in servral times before it actually will read it. If the regular disc is an old one where it fills up the entire space slot on the dvd holder then it will read it no problem. But the newer regular dvd’s like tv shows are a smaller size so it’s harder to find where to put the disc on the dvd holder for it to read. I don’t have any problems with a Blu-Ray disc. I just it the open button the holder comes out. I put it on the holder hit close and it just reads it. I think because it’s a 3d player the updates have to be geared more for reading the latest 3d model rather than reading the older regular discs.

DeerPark water is ok but if I have to drink water I really prefer Aquafina. I just don’t like their plastic bottles. I believe in recycling. I think it’s great for the environment and all but ever since they switched to 50% less plastic the bottles have been awful. I’ve had them leak if I drop them. I’ve had the labels fall off. Some bottles are even as squishy as the water inside them. In all honesty I don’t think the company made the bottles to be more Eco-Friendly like they claim. I think they did it because using less plastic to make the bottles is cheaper.

Hate windows 10. I used to have Windows 7 which I liked, not as much as Windows XP but it was the next best operating system. On 7 when I lost the internet connection all I had to do was click on the internet signal in the taskbar then click on troubleshoot then click detect error and it would reset the computer’s internal wireless router which then allowed the computer to pick up the signal from the wireless router. In Windows 10 all troubleshoot/detect error did was tell me to close my wireless router and turn it back on again. The thing is I knew there was nothing wrong with my wireless router because while waiting for the computer to start I was on the internet from my Ipod (which only connects to the internet from the wireless router). I had to waste time trying to figure out why it couldn’t connect to my network. After typing my network password TWICE it miraculously logged on. So a job that, under Windows 7 would have taken less than 3mins. took over 20mins. I should start billing Microsoft for all the aggravation/stress their product has caused me.

Can’t believe what a family friend told me. He said he took out a barrel of Legos for his grand-kids, dumped them on the floor and told them to just play. They told him, “We can’t play with those, they have no instructions.” I’m thinking, “Legos aren’t supposed to have instructions. They’re supposed to have pictures on the box to show you what you can build with the pieces inside but not that you were limited to just those. That’s why I love the Lego Movie. It totally plays on that concept of instructions verses imagination.

Got my first Selfie Stick for Christmas. It’s just a simple little one that holds any sized phone. Can’t wait to try it out. It’s about 8inches in height that extends to about 24inches and has a nice soft pink handle and a flat bottom so it can be used as a monopod as well.

My maternal grandma was Italian and though she’s been dead these past four years now I honor her by eating Italian on Christmas Day.

My family gets together Christmas Eve so that’s actually when we open our presents.

I’m crazy obsessed with purple so everything from the settings on my computer to clothes I buy to things I use like watches, hairbrushes, daily planners etc. must be purple.

Honestly, unless it’s wireless I can’t tell the difference in sound quality between a bose, sony, UE, or and Ihome. I’m not big on base so for me as long as I plug it in and sound comes out I’m good. Now wireless headphones/speakers I can tell the difference. Ihome isn’t too good on their connection.

Cheese cake is the king of cakes. There is no other cake as delicious as the cheese cake.

I just started making my own icons for short cuts to programs on my home computer. I make them in Powerpoint then use the online program ConvertIcon to turn it into an icon. It’s simple and at least I’ll be looking at what I want to look at rather than whatever the company that makes the program wants to use.
-
I miss windows Xp. I just can’t draw on Powerpoint with any other version. Each ‘point’ used to create the shape has to ‘end’ points and if you start messing with the point it completely changes the shape. One needs to mess with the end points if they want a decent shape. The only thing the end points are good for is making curves. Other than that they just ruin everything.

I use Tressemme hair products. My hair is always thick and frizzy and Tressemme stuff leaves it smooth and shinny—even if I just wash it and don’t use any hairspray or anything.

Wondering why guys can be such butt heads sometimes

oi second the inital conversation.

I went to see at 2a. Woke up at 7a. Why am I up so early? It's Saturday. Can't go back to sleep And nothing good is on tv.

Never understood dictionaries. If you don’t know how to spell a word how are you going to look it up? And to ‘sound it out’ doesn’t work for some words especially if you talk with an accent. For example I always say ‘fermillyer’ for familiar so to sound it out for me would be spelled farmiliar and that isn’t correct.

I bought a bunch of hair-bands for Christmas that were red, white and green but silver striped. I can’t believe they just broke when I went to use them. They just snapped. I only got a pair of red but the rest all broke.

I can’t believe best buy charges $100 to have a tech guy come out. I have a Samsung 3d blu-ray home theater system which I bought back in 2013 and because of the updates, which are geared more for the 3D, it’s losing its ability to play regular dvd’s so I went out this past Christmas and bought a regular Sony dvd player with the HD upconversion. Now I was able to plug the HD cable between the blu-ray and the dvd (because I’m using all sound out of the blu-ray speakers). The problem is I can’t find the surge protector to plug the dvd into a power outlet. I has to be behind everything because the tv, vhs, cable box and blu-ray all have power going to it. The problem is all I see when I look behind the tv stand are wires which when the installers came 3years ago to hook everything up (having bought the blu-ray with a 50tv) they used zip-cords so everything is nice and tight and I can’t move them around. It seems like a waste of money to spend $100 just to have a guy come and plug in a dvd player but if I can’t do it myself I may not have a choice. I got everything at Best Buy which is why I’m going through them.
-
Looks Like I don’t have to pay best buy after all (thank goodness) to plug in my dvd player (which I thought I did). The tv stand itself apparently is designed with two ‘pockets’ in the walls. All I had to do was follow the plug in the outlet to the tv stand to find out which one the surge protector was hiding in. Once I did that all I had to do was open the back of the pocket and pull out the surge protector, plug in the dvd player, put all the stuff back then turn it on. It works great.

I miss the calendar app that used to be on the screen with Window 7. Windows ten you have to click on the time to get it.
-
I use a lot of fonts for specific things but the problem is I need to make a list because of how many I have. Whenever I want to do, say a Christmas card, I just can’t remember which fonts are the Christmas ones. If I do a search in the font folder it only brings up the ones with Christmas in the title.

My desktop is cluttered with the Sticky Notes since I haven’t quiet got the hang of the One Note app yet.

I need a gaming pc. There's so many choices. I need them all!

Had a windows phone for a number of years now (I only change when the phone dies) and it worked great no trouble…until this last lousy update. 8.1 I think it is. Now all it does is ask for a security code. I can’t check my mail. I can’t log on to my one drive account. I can’t even download the authority app (or whatever it’s called) that will allow me to log on without a security code. The problem is the email in my settings is right but when the page for ‘Call us Overprotective’ comes up and wants a code sent the box that has my email changed out one letter so it’s wrong. That means I can’t get the code to unlock my phone’s access to anything. I can hit the back button when the screen comes on to get my emails but it’s just frustrating I can’t really add anything to my phone just subtract. My Microsoft account via computer is right and in my email>settings account is right so I just don’t get it.
-
It’s just one of those days everything is going wrong. I want to go back to bed and wake up tomorrow like this day never happened.
-
So my windows phone kept asking for a passcode and changed one letter on my email that it wanted to send the code too. I don’t have a passlock on my Microsoft account or any two-step verification so there was no excuse for that. I couldn’t take it anymore so I called Microsoft. I started at 5am. The first person I called just gave me a claims number and passed the buck. From that time on all the way to 11am, all I got was put on hold then transferred to another department. One operator had the gall to get mad at me when I refused to give him a credit card number for shipping and handling on a $100 voucher. I told him, ‘Never mind just tech support because I don’t know you so I’m not giving you a credit card over the phone.’ He got mad, rattled off another phone number and before I could ask him to repeat the number he hung up. I called back and just got a stupid recording for customer service. I gave up when customer service told me to do the same exact thing I already did, log on to that stupid account/marklost page which does nothing. He then put me on hold and then came back and told me to talk to accounting. I called that number, got and automated woman’s voice with a thick German accent telling me no one was available then hung up. I dialed twice. Got the same thing. I went onto a Microsoft forum and they told me what I already did. Check the account. Check if two step verification is turned on. (This AFTER I said the only problem was with my phone! My phone is the only one asking for a passcode! Not my computer, laptop, ipod, ipad which all log on to my Microsoft account just fine.) So after 6hours of frustration and two days of back and forth with a Microsoft expert on the forum I got nowhere, so I looked up how to change the email on the phone. It turns out you can’t. You have to reset the phone to the factory default and start all over again as if you just bought it. I had no choice so I did that. Now it’s fine. I’m connected to my Microsoft account and it’s not asking for a passcode. Had I looked that up from the beginning it would have saved me all that aggravation and frustration. Of course, to add insult to injury Microsoft had the nerve to send me a customer service survey on how well they did after I had to solve the problem on my own! My response was all very poor for everything then at the end when they asked why gave them the rating I did I told them this: My issue was my HTC Windows phone updated and kept asking for a passcode and wanted to send it to an email that was not what my Microsoft account was. (It changed out one letter.) I started at 5am and got nothing but put on hold and transferred from one division to another. No one could tell me why it was asking for a passcode nor why when I checked my account via a computer all the information was correct even my email account on my phone attached to Microsoft was correct. By 11am I got nothing but aggravation and no nearer to solving the problem. Not having the passcode basically locked me out of my phone. I had to take it upon myself to solve the problem which from what I researched what to restart the phone from the factory default. I had no choice so I did it which made me loose all my contact phone numbers because without the stupid passcode I couldn't connect to Outlook to save them. And by the way I did NOT set up a two-step verification on my account for this to happen. That's why I gave a poor rating. When I have to solve the problem myself and all your divisions did was give me someone else to call rather than just telling me they don't know how to solve the problem they don't deserve high marks.’ The only satisfaction I have now it connected to Outlook and my Microsoft account if I get that stupid thing again I shouldn’t have to manually put back my phone numbers. I should get them automatically from back up assistance, but I at least know the only way to get rid of it is to reset the phone to the beginning.
-
So when my Windows HTC phone started asking for a passcode to my microsoft account (the only one of my devices to do so) I went onto the forum and the ‘expert’ basically told me to recheck the account. I left him this final message: ok, I don’t know how else to put this but it’s my PHONE that is the problem NOT the Microsoft account. There is no other email the account is connected to, and no other device I use whether it’s a computer or tablet that connects to the SAME EXACT Microsoft account asks for a passcode let alone wants to send it to the wrong email. So let me help you out and tell you how to solve this problem so the next person that has this same problem doesn’t have to go through 6hrs of phone aggravation and disappointment from forum responses like I did. The ONLY way to fix a passcode error on a phone (specifically an HTC) when the email the phone wants to send the code to is wrong is to reset the phone to factory default. Tell the next person who has this problem to go through all the steps of checking the account not only in the phone settings but the account itself via a computer and when they can successfully connect onto their Microsoft account via another device and that device doesn’t ask for a passcode it means the PHONE is the problem and NOT the Microsoft account. That means only a reset can fix the problem which means they have to make sure they have everything on the phone saved to something else before the reset. Once I reset my phone to factory default, I no longer got asked for a passcode. I connected just fine to my account after the reset. No passcode was asked for. Unfortunately, I lost my contacts (because the passcode locked me out of my connection to outlook) but I just manually typed those back in since I had them saved to a phonebook on my computer. So the passcode error is really a two step process and you and everyone I talked to at Microsoft didn’t figure that out and kept hampering on the account which is why nothing you said helped me. The ONLY way to fix a passcode error on a phone when the phone is the only one asking for it and the email is wrong is a default rest. It’s really that simple. When phone is the problem not the account reset the phone. I had to research that on my own and finally found that out unfortunately, the hard way.

Can’t believe YouTube took off the Dave Aude remix of Stand by you from Rachel Platten. Their stupid copyright rules are destroying all the best remixes of songs.

Hate shoveling snow—especially 15inches of it.
-
Live in Prince William Country, VA and because there is no law that requires people to shovel their sidewalks I do it out of courtesy for the mail man. The reason I almost don’t want to do it is because of what I had this past snow storm—dog walkers making their dogs leave their droppings on my freshly shoveled driveway and not bothering to pick it up.
-
Another reason to hate windows 10. I lost the start and Cortana buttons. They don’t work. I’ve lost a day’s work and spent the last three days trying to get at least the start button to work. I went so far as to have a microsoft tech try to fix it remotely, which was a waste of time because he just spent two hours doing what I spent the last two days doing. The only satisfaction I got from the tech guy was that the start button issue is a software upgrade issue (like I did going from 7 to 10) and not if you start with windows 10.
-
I am done trying to fix the Window’s t 10 start button. I’ve gone to all these websites, including the Microsft forum and did all these tech performance things (some of them like powershell three times) and still got no where. I’ve run scans and everything comes up with no errors. There has to be an error, the start button doesn’t work! While switching to a new user does work (and micorosft’s solution to the problem) that creates a whole new set of problems like locking me out of folders I need access too and with no guarantee that under the new user the start button won’t eventually die. I soo regret switching from 7 to 10!

I just got an answer to my prayer immediately after praying, second time this week!! Doesn't always happen that way but wow... it's great when it does! God is good!! :star:  #tryGod

It could be an issue with the Account, even thought that's rare. Try creating a new user account and saving/transferring all your current documents there. Then delete the old one.

I can't wait to move from New Jersey to Massachussets to begin living with my boyfriend. A little less than a year from now, I will be! Just gotta keep on making that money and checking out the jobs up there. But I do get to spend 11 days with him in a couple weeks! Woo hoo!

Like winter, or football, or snowcones, or bed bugs, or coupons, or picture frames, or water bottles, or cell phones, or baseball caps? Those things? lol
-
Why are you going to make an operating system incomplete, force it on people, then just assume all the bugs will be worked out in the upcoming updates? On top of that why are you going to create a system (Windows 10) that centers around the start button when that’s main ‘bug’ of your system (i.e. it dies!). I wouldn’t care so much if they didn’t change the personalization page. Now your settings is on the start button and there is nothing you really do with the personalization page except change themes.
-
So stupid to boycott the Oscars. Ask yourself, would white/Asian/Latin-American etc. protest the Oscars if it was all black? Then ask the white host to join the boycott? If the answer is no then why are you doing it?
-
All lives matter all races matter, that is what Martin Luther King Jr. stood for which is why ‘Black Lives Matter’ is racist and goes against his beliefs.
-
Joseph Finnes playing Michael Jackson in a upcoming movie…really? Joseph Finnes? Unless they do some serious make-up on him couldn’t they take an actual Black Actor for that? After all Michael was black. Yes, he had a skin condition which by the end of his days made him look more white than black and Joseph claims that Michael’s skin was closer to his own by the end which is why he was chosen but still. And can he even sing? At least when Jamie Fox did Ray Charles he was a singer—or at least had a very good singing voice for the role.

I’ve given up trying to fix the start button on Windows 10. I can right click to turn it off so that’s all I need. Yes, I am a bit disappointed I can’t create new themes/slide shows for screen savers like I do for all the holidays or change the color of themes now and again but there’s nothing I can do—and there is nothing Microsoft can do either. All their techs say is that it’s a known problem from the upgrade not a problem when you a new computer with Windows 10 fully loaded.
-
I think Microsoft should compensate all of us with a broken start button by giving us brand new computers. After all they caused the problem to our perfectly could machines, rendering them next to useless, especially since they linked everything to the start button. I can’t even find half my programs now and thankfully the ones I use often I made desktop icons for.
-
I agree, the boycott of the Oscars is a big waste of time. They need to get more done by getting more people of all colors in the movies. It needs a push to get members of all colors in to vote. Not just complain that not enough are nominated from any one ethnic group. I am American Indian......I have never seen a lot of Indians, even playing Indians in many movies. You have to start at the beginning, where the money is or comes from to make any real change.
-
i wonder is god a child with too much power he has to play with the little human lives to entertain his bored self! Why does things go wrong after we finished fixing something broken, then something worst happens after that!
-
I always use a timex watch because I need an electronic one. To me Timex is the best because you don’t have to go hunting down the instructions twice a year when you need to change the time. The instructions are basically on the watch itself. You hit the set button and hold it (like it will say on the screen) then the plus or minus to advance or subtract the time. The mode button is to change from time to stopwatch to alarm. Then to set it up is the same thing. I’ve tried Armitron and Casio and both had me hunting down the instructions though I do like the Armitron better than the Casio.

My sugar level was a bit to high so I had to cut back on soda. I now drink a lot of water and when I take a soda it’s Sprite Zero or Diet 7up and I only take a little and drown it with a lot of water. Thankfully Jello makes sugar free stuff so I didn’t have to do away with the chocolate pudding I love so much.

So who still has Halloween candy? Yep, I still do but at least there is an expiration date on them so I know actually when to throw them out.

I stopped watching the cooking shows that I used to watch a lot previously. I use that time to try some new dish. More rewarding in every way.

He has not been able to get his party together to be effective at all. I am almost surprised they didn't get rid of him sooner.
YI hate regular cooking shows like the Rachel Ray show.
I watch other Food Network shows, but I've never been a fan of hers.

This election is so worrisome. I don't like anyone.

Why do they always have to make women’s pants long? Unfortunately I am shaped like my dad with a long body and short legs but still. Why do pants companies think women are going to wear heals with whatever we wear? Even those of us that have to wear them all day long look to come home and get out of heals not walk around with them in our sweats. What do they think it is? The 1930’s? Even then the female pajamas were silk gowns not flannel or cotton.
-
Need to watch my sugar level since I raised it drinking too much soda. I switched from 7up to diet 7up but with the shoppers by us closing I don’t know where I’d get it because I don’t want to do the liter. Sometimes it’s in the Giant but if I have to then I’ll just switch to Sprite Zero. That is carried everywhere.

So for a while now my start button and Cortana have not been working from the Windows 10 upgrade, and from the Microsoft forums I know I am not alone and it was through that last Nov-Dec update that screwed all of us up. I never really used Cortana because unlike the old search programs when you looked for something it would find it on the computer. She looks for it, I want to say first, on the web. Even a program I know is on the computer she won’t find it and will give me the website for it. Drove me nuts. That’s why I started making shortcut desktop Icons. Every single program I have on the computer I have a shortcut desktop Icon for. So that my desktop is not cluttered with so many Icons, I put folders on the desktop and put certain programs together in them. It’s the only way I could have found anything on the computer since I had to search for it myself. And now that someone helped me to find the settings button under ‘my computer’ (which is the first Icon I always make when I get a new computer or system) I don’t ever need the start button—which was the only reason I tried so desperately to get it back since they changed Personalization and you can no longer create screen savers or change color themes through the personalization on the control panel it was the Personalization through the settings button. As for closing it, I can just right click on the start button and from the drop down menu choose shut down.

Have and Hp split with windows 8 and it seems most of the games gotten from the Microsoft store stop working after a year. The screen just goes to black.

Can’t believe it. The groundhog saw his shadow and not only is it still winter but more snow is headed our way on the east coast.

They certainly don’t make things like they used to. My desktop is only four years old and it already needs a new harddrive.

Hate allergies and unfortunately I got stuck being allergic to mold and mildew which is year long so I’m stuck taking Zyertc every day and a Dymistra nasal spray twice a day—and neither one is cheap. I get the Zyertc from Costco since for the same $25 dollars I pay at the drug store I can at least get two bottles there. As for my nasal spray there is no generic version so I have to pay $174 a bottle! Thankfully, the company gives out a discount, which my health insurance cuts $100 off. Medicine is so expensive! Honestly, in this day and age nothing is cheap.

I'm frustrated...i hate the unknown. I hope everyone is having a nice day...

I’ve lived in the same place for over ten years now and seen a lot of changes. The biggest one being all the homes going up and all the businesses moving out.

I don’t know who to vote for in this presidential election. Not a single candidate am I actually happy with. I certainly don’t want Trump, not that Cruz is any better and the Clinton boat sailed away a long time ago.

I prefer real books to the electronic stuff. Yes, while it is easier to store thousands of books in one device, I always found the battery dying just when you don’t want it too.

Downloaded the Walmart app but it’s a piece of crap. Not only are the prices wrong for the Walmart store I go to but their map is wrong too. The chilli, which on the app claims to be in aisle 13, in the store it’s Aisle 10.

I am stuck using Glass Plus for all my mirrors since Windex original changed but it still leaves streaks (though not as bad as the new Windex Original).
-
The shoppers food warehouse by me closed so now I go to Walmart and for some reason they can’t handle it if you bring in your own recycle bags. It’s like they have to use their own bag otherwise you mess up their whole pack the bag scenario.

I have thick hair and I can’t believe how fast I go through combs—even the ones that are supposed to be ‘non-breakable’!

Neighbor across the street is a cat person which I wouldn’t mind so much except that even when they are home they let the cat out and it always comes into my yard and messes with my flowers.

Woke up Valentine’s day with a cold. Not the way I planned to spend the day and the Halls cough drops don’t seem to be doing much good.

Why are people always dancing up against the wall in music videos? It’s so weird like they’re supposed to be a cat or something. I mean seriously, who makes out with a wall that they feel the need erotically dance by it?

Hate the way people drive. It’s all about themselves and who can beat the red light rather than being curious to their fellow drivers.

Can’t stand the design on the soda bottles, you know that weird prong like shape at the bottom. It makes the bottles fall over easy if you can get them to stand at all on the refrigerator shelf depending on how wide the gaps are in the wired shelf. I don’t know if the new refrigerators come with all solid shelves now or not, but the two I have got iron gate-like shelves and one has an even wider gap than the other between the bars. The only way I get the bottles to stand was listening to my grandfather who recommended putting aluminum foil on top of the shelf as a shelf liner then the bottles were able to stand upright. Otherwise they all fall over or lean because the bottom ‘prongs’ fall through the bar gaps of the shelf.
-
Why do people in the doctor’s office stare at you when you cough? If they don’t you still wind up with this feeling they think you have the black plague or something. I mean aren’t you supposed to be sick at a doctor’s office? I know some go in for regular check ups but still. When you get sick you go to the doctor’s. So why are people weird out by others who actually go to the office when they are sick?

Had to take the computer into Best Buy. The windows 10 upgrade messed it up. Then after some test were run they told me it wasn’t Windows 10 it was the hard drive so I had to buy a new one. They put it in then when I requested twice to load windows 10 to it, they were going to give it back to me with 7 because they always load the operating system the machine came with. I told the guy (after he claimed they always load the latest operating system), ‘That’s 7 not 10.’ He looked at the paperwork and told me it wasn’t written up clear enough but that’s he’d take care of it. I was like how was it not written up clear enough? It said, ‘Windows 10 installed, unit not functioning properly?’ What’s there to misunderstand? Anyway he took it in the back and said it would be a couple hours to load so I could leave and then they’d call. I did get a call about four hours later to pick up the machine. So far, it’s been working fine and none of the problems I had with it when I first loaded 10 have taken place, but then I’m not worried because I brought the year coverage so anything does happen I take it right back to them.

I prefer the cold weather to the hot weather simply because if it gets too hot I get nauseous. If it’s too cold, I just put on more layers or crank up the heat but at least I don’t get sick.

Honestly, they make clothes so cheap now-a-days. I wore a sweater only once and I know there was no hole in it when I put it on, I know I did not snag it anywhere but still when I took it off, there was a hole. Luckily I was able to sew it myself otherwise I would have taken it to the tailors.

Why we all have so many dental problems? We are simply not perfect! Any solution to this terrible health problem?

I can’t believe what I hear on the news these days like there were juveniles arrested for drunkenness and it wasn’t because they got their hands on real alcohol it was because they drank enough Listerine to get drunk. For my part, I use the alcoholic Listerine and I honestly can’t wait to spit it out of my mouth and there are kids actually drinking the stuff? That’s just crazy!

I don’t know what this world is coming to when a woman is willing to beat up her own husband for not getting her anything for Valentine’s Day. She assaulted him, (I forget with what weapon) but he wound up in the hospital and she was arrest for assault. Now she’d definitely not getting another present from him.

Don’t know who to vote for in the presidential election. I don’t like Trump or Cruz. I don’t much care for Sanders or Clinton. The only one I might consider is Rubio but I don’t think he’ll make it unless Trump or Cruz take him as a running mate. Which might be an option since I doubt Trump and Cruz will run together on one ticket. I can see Sanders and Clinton working together. If they do and Trump and or Cruz does not take Rubio as their running mate then I’ll vote democratic.

Why do dentists expect you to have perfect teeth? I swear every time I see mine (even when I think their in good shape) she not only finds faults but suggests new products to buy. When I used a manual it was switch to an electric. When I switched to an Electric it was I need to use the one with the small round head that circulates not the one with the dual head that circulates on top and goes up and down on the bottom. Now that I use an electric with a small circular head she wants me to get a water pick. Honestly, do these dentist think, one, that we’re made of money, and two, we have all the time in the world to stand there and ‘play’ with our teeth? If they were perfect dentists would be out of a job.

I’ve been so busy I haven’t had time to even clean house. Last time I did that was back in October. Good thing I’m not that much of a slob.

Really don’t have the free time I once had. I’m not even caught up on any of the few shows I watch regularly like Once Upon a Time. I left with Emma being the ‘Dark One’ and now she’s normal but Hook’s dead. When the heck did that happen?
-
I watched Divergent without reading the book and the ending of the movie I just didn’t understand other than to tell myself that it has to play out like that so they can do a sequel. I recently read the book and have to say that while I didn’t care for the way it was written, its ending was way better and made more sense to me than the movies. I just have to keep reminding myself that when a book is turned into a movie you are not watching the book brought to life, you are watching an interpretation of the book brought to life and not necessarily are those two things the same.
-
I seem to have no free time, I like being busy but this is to much! Child care for our newest grandbaby fell through, so for a while I am watching him while his parents are at work. I have always picked up the older ones after school. Then my Mother and my husband have both had surgery a few days apart. I know in a few weeks it will all calm down. I am so thankful for my good health.

Okay. It's time for a new dentist in this case. He doesn't deserve any patients at all if he behaves in this manner. There are baddies in all professions, so don't tolerate it! :angry7:
I'm so sorry you had this experience. Please . . . there are other dentists.

It seems like the only thing I get to do and repeatedly to no end is housework

I've never heard anything good about Sprint. Why don't you use a different service? I'm just sayin' . . . is Sprint worth that kind of hassle? :BangHead:

It's daylight savings time again. Don't forget to spring forward time everyone.

Honestly, while I understand Trump’s appeal I really can’t vote for him but I refuse to vote for Cruz when he’s the guy that led the tea party which sent millions of government works home because he refused to pass a budget Obama was willing to sign. It’s clear he puts his own party ahead of Americans and I don’t feel comfortable with someone like that in office which only leaves whoever wins on the Democrat side.

I wouldn’t say I’m a germaphobe but I do wash my hands a lot. I like to use a moisturizing soap but whenever I find one that has a nice scent like the Dove I used to use, companies stop making it to put out new ones. It’s like they are in competition with the electronic companies or something. As soon as one soap scent comes out there are five more to take its place.

Really hate losing that hour of sleep since the clocks had to go ahead.

Purple is my favorite color but finding clothes in just the right shade for my pale skin tone is always hard.

I can’t believe how fast Kohl's changes their clothes. It’s like you go in one week and the next week everything is changed. That is not very good for a slow thinker like me. I’m the type that will see something then leave a store, go home and think about it for a while then decide if I am really thinking about it and can’t let it go I should buy it. That’s where the trouble is because by the time I do that with Kohl's, the item is gone. I just am not one for impulse buying and apparently if I don’t do that, at least when it comes to Kohl's, I lose out.

I have such a sensitive stomach that I am afraid to try any new foods I’ve never eaten before in fear I’ll just throw them up. No way to live but it’s better than popping pills.

So devastated about Garry Shandling. :( Watching his show is one of my few memories of the '80s. I was born in '85, so I'm glad to be raised with his humor. He'll be missed.

It’s become almost automatic, whenever I have a DIY project I just put on YouTube and watch a video of it first then do the work.

Threw out my back moving the toilet back and forth after having to replace the wax ring since it was leaking.

I always watch religious movies around Easter.

My bathroom definitely needs a new paint job.

It’s always my luck. I’ve been a ‘saver’ when it comes to money my whole life and it never fails. Whenever I think I’m doing really well at ‘keeping money for a rainy day’ something breaks and I have to replace it ergo the money and I’m back at zero.
-
Kohl’s has become one of my favorite places to shop recently. Purple is my favorite color and the Vera *bleep* stuff usually has a nice lilac. The only thing is even with sale prices everything costs more than the item should actually be. That's why I’m careful and don't do much impulse shopping in that store. One honestly can't.

Just finished painting the outside of my house and I'm exhausted.

Hate housework but if I don't do it, nobody will.

There just isn't any movies coming out I'd really want to waste my hard earned money on in the box office.

I do the same thing. And check back mid-project just to be sure I got it right.

I still go out of my way to buy a camera. I know cameras on smartphones are getting better and I have one but the still can't compare to a real camera. I just recently bought a Nikon coolpix l840. I takes the absolute best pictures from any electronic device I own. I started with a canon powershot but the only pics that come out clear from it were outside in sunlight. I take mostly indoor museum type photos with no flash. I moved on to an Olympus which was great it just didn't take good steady shots without having a tripod. But the Nikon is perfect. Any lighting, any setting, even if you are just walking around, the pics it takes come out perfect. It was definitely worth the price I paid for it.

I prefer to get jeans with designs on the pockets rather than plain.

I’m more of a dog person than a cat person, unless I can find a cat that craves attention and very loving.

The 1930’s? Even then the female pajamas were silk gowns or satin not flannel or cotton.

Need to watch my sugar level since I raised it drinking too much soda. I switched from 7up to diet 7up but with the Shoppers Food Warehouse by me closed so I don’t know where I’d get it because I don’t want to do the liter. Sometimes it’s in the Giant but if I have to then I’ll just switch to Sprite Zero. That is carried everywhere.

I have been really bummed out lately I think I am just overly tired right now.

I know they say turn a chore you hate into something fun but I’m sorry, there is no way I can mentally turn cleaning a bathroom into something fun. It’s just drudgery work and the only thing I can think positively about is that the bathroom looks and smells nicer at the end.

Never underestimate the fact that I know what my self-worth is!! It's either going to be a 50/50 deal with me or a 0!!

Unbelievable how easy it is for a strong confident woman to be made to feel so little and unwanted by the actions of another. Amazing how the mind can play incredible tricks on you. It really is a shame that more women don't know their worth and more men don't have the respect for their women to not make them feel as though they have to compete or be something they aren't.

Two days ago I smacked myself in the cheekbone with my blowdryer. There is no visible mark but it still really hurts. If this isn't the best analogy of how my life is going as of late, I don't know what is.

I don’t think anyone except in the commercials trying to sell you toothpaste or whitening.
oh my i never feel like that after the dentist cleans my teeth. i also floss regularly. if you dont floss, your cleaning does take a lot longer. and it does require a lot more scraping

I bought a iHome FIT IPX5. It’s a water-resistance wireless sport earbuds. I liked the fact that they’ve got the detachable earbuds and are noise isolating. My problem is, the sound is ok (if you’re not heavy into base, which I’m not) but the earbuds don’t really stay in your ear. They really need the earhooks to stay put, especially the right earbud that actually has the controller. The controller is just too heavy for it so it falls out of your ear. However, if you use the earhook the earbuds aren’t really in your ear to be noise isolating. You’d have to switch to a size larger earbud and even then the bud is hanging just inside rather than firmly inside the ear. Still the sound isn’t bad and for $30 it’s definitely worth it. My problem is with an Ipod, Ipad, and Iphone you can connect only one Bluetooth to each item. I practically “wasted” hundreds of dollars on a wireless speaker for each. I’m not going to do that for the earbuds. It’s more practically to spend $100 on three wireless earbuds than $300 on one—especially that I have more than one thing to connect too and I have yet to find one that connects to more than one electronic appliance. My bose wireless headphones claim they can, but I haven’t tried it because I’m afraid it’ll loose connection to my Iphone which is what I have it connected to.

It blows my mind how many illegitimate people/companies are out there that try and steal honest people’s hard earned dollar. I recently got a new phone and the number of legitimate calls to illegitimate is like 1 to 50. The very first phone call I got on my new phone was this automated service ‘claiming’ to be the IRS, that they had been trying to get in touch with me and that an arrest warrant was issued against me and I had to ‘immodestly’ call them back to clear the matter up. Another one I actually answered and they claimed they were from a warranty company. They said the warranty on my 2012 Hyndai had expired (which it hadn’t because I have a five year coverage warranty), that they tried to get in touch with me before (which they hadn’t) and wanted me to buy a warranty from them. I snapped at the woman, “If you ain’t from Hyndai then you can’t cover the car!” I then hung up and blocked the number. It’s getting so you literally need common sense otherwise you’d give away your last dollar to crooks. I couldn’t help but think with all the people out of work and needing jobs, how do those people find jobs at companies like that? Or do they just make things up as they go knowing there are a lot of gullible people out there?

Went into Walmart to get a knee brace and I can’t believe it. The one I wanted was the brace for maximum support for weak, injured or arthritics knees. There is supposed to be a metal hinge on both sides you adjust. Well I bought one and it’s a good thing I checked the box before I got home because inside the box was the regular one. I took it back to Walmart and this time a checked the box before I made the exchange.

Mean Girls is a grossly overrated movie.

So for Hanukkah I painted my nails this sapphire blue and put silver david stars an menorahs on them. I like to do it myself than at a nail salon because it’s cheaper. I think they come out okay.

Bought my first frozen pizza today. It was a red baron pepperoni. I heard that company was pretty good. Have to try it out.

Can’t believe how much I actually save by going to Walmart. It’s like a hundred dollars cheaper than it a food store and that’s with more stuff!

It’s so creepy that Debbie Reynolds died a day after her daughter. Makes you wonder if people really can die of a broken heart.

I often wonder why people look at me weird when I’m lip singing to a song playing on the store’s radio but not at people who use those Bluetooth phones that just look like they’re talking to themselves.

I always ask for specific things for the holidays from my family but I do it in like Nov. so that I forget I’ve asked. This way I never get disappointed over getting a useless thing I didn’t even want and won’t ever use.

Being Jewish I always get disappointed that there isn’t enough Hanukkah stuff. There are aisles of Christmas wrapping and stuff but not enough things for Hanukkah. I am lucky if I find some tiny obscure section in a back corner somewhere that has maybe a handful of stuff each year.
