Title: What do you put on French fries?
Post by: Nancy5 on October 05, 2015, 05:28:27 am: I either use ketchup or vinegar on French fries. I have seen people use mayo.

Post by: UGetPaid on October 05, 2015, 10:17:51 am: Most often, I just eat them with a bit of salt, but when I DO top my fries with something it is ketchup sometimes, ranch dressing mostly, cheese on very rare occasion, and the very best that I only do while eating out at a diner or greasy spoon dive is to top them with beef gravy!

I do like to dip some of them into ketchup. I've tried several of the other people's choices: ranch, honey mustard; but have never heard of dipping fries in vinegar.

I forgot about the chocolate shakes! The kids will do that sometimes.
Skip the burger....just order a shake and fries.

I've seen people mix mustard, ketchup and black pepper. I don't think I would like my fries with anything else other then ketchup.

Post by: Penwoir on October 12, 2015, 10:00:14 am: I usually put salt and vinegar on my fries but when I lived in the UK, I was shocked to learn that you can go into a Fish and Chips Restaurant in the North of England and ask for chips and gravy! I tried some and it actually tasted pretty good. I think my all time favorite topping for fries though is cheddar, bacon, sour cream and chives. Charley's do a really good version of this.
