Title: Plans for Xmas
Post by: imonlybleeding on December 22, 2015, 02:59:58 pm: In previous years I have spent it with friends and family but this time for the first time it seems ill be working.

Post by: lvstephanie on December 23, 2015, 09:28:15 am: Yuck. I've never had to work on Xmas (knock on wood), but I remember having to work all through Easter weekend one year. We won't be doing much this weekend for Xmas, but next weekend I'll be running karaoke for a friend's NYE party, then we have one Xmas dinner on the 1st, and another Xmas dinner on the 2nd. And then in about a month from now, I'll be celebrating my 40th. So January is looking to be very busy for parties this year!

Ive no plans really, family coming by for dinner, and once they leave Im on my own as well, just me and my pups and cat which is fine :)

I'm not sure how I'd feel if I had to work. Perhaps if I were working for one of the emergency services I could agree to it. However if I worked in a store, I wouldn't be happy at all if I had to work at Christmas. I guess it depends on how much you value your job. However, what's right for one person isn't right for the next. So, hope you have a good Christmas and a Happy New Year!
