Lately I have been craving chocolate and sweets. I have had a few desserts already. I am trying to limit the amount of desserts for health reasons.

eat sugar free and not sweetener alternative if it is for health reasons.

I have a mean sweet tooth too lol I'd been doing great with my limitations until a couple of days ago but I'm getting back on track.

Brushing sometimes holds off sweet tooth. Try drinking green tea and more water to offset the effects of intaking too much sugar. Hope this helps!

Me too. I don't know what it is but for the past 2 weeks I have been craving just sweets. I sometimes drink water when that happens. That seems to help a little.

I've been eating a lot of sweet lately and I shouldn't due to having diabetics. It doesn't help that people are giving me candy and sweets.

Yeah, I love chocolate too. That's why I'm trying to eliminate some of my sugary drinks, so I can enjoy other sweets. I don't need to be drinking my calories, so I'm cutting back on that this year. Instead, sweets are something I am going to treat myself to from time to time and not consume on a weekly basis. That's my goal for 2016.

I have a major sweet tooth, myself. Right now, I am trying to fight the proverbial battle of the bulge...and I am losing miserably. It is difficult for me to regain that discipline that I once had. I went from 145 lbs. to 105 lbs. two years ago. I went up to 125 lbs. It is a struggle for me to return to 105 lbs. now. :-( But I am not giving up!

I love sweets, but I don't like chocolate especially dark chocolate. It always taste bitter.

It never goes away, never, make sure you count it as the part of your meal, that does help. Dinner not so big, proportion is the key, meat size as a deck of cards, I always have dessert.

I also have a craving for chocolate, especially Belgian Cote d' Or chocolate which I only get very rarely when my daughter travels to Belgium on business and buys it for me. I also like See's milk chocolate with nuts which one of my daughters usually buys me as a Christmas present each year. That gets gone in like a week.

You are craving chocolate because you need the calcium and iron that some chocolates have. Avoid sugary pastries. Try some hot chocolates. Always read "Nutrition Facts" labels.

I just saw a video that said that chocolate and sweet cravings are the result of a nutrient deficient. I remember nuts and grapes being on the list of foods to eat to get over those cravings.
