do you use fresh frozen or canned vegetable's i prefer fresh or frozen i do not use a lot of canned vegetable's only when i am pushed for time
-
I like fresh and frozen too I also don't do cans unless I am in a hurry to put something together -- I have been trying to eat more fresh veggies and fruits so I have been going to Lucky's lately to get fresh organic stuff
-
I think the fresh and or frozen have the best taste. The canned has so much sodium in them, that I am not suppose to have. Yes it takes a little longer to cook the others but well worth it. But I will use canned in a pinch.
-
I like frozen, canned, but the best is the fresh!
-
We are eating more fresh vegetables than we ever have before. There is way too much sodium in canned foods. With fresh, you can add your own ingredients and you know what you are eating! I'm already daydreaming about the vegetables that we can grow in our garden and buy from local farmers. You can't beat the flavor!
-
I prefer fresh, at times I may eat from the can or frozen foods, but I rather choose/eat fresh. :)
-
i prefer fresh...but i do canned items on some things...do a lot of frozen also
-
canned veggies ingredients has changed I eat both ways they say you need to cook your foods now.
-
I'm the same way. Prefer fresh first, then frozen..can when I'm in a hurry. I always wash the canned veggies really well before cooking them though, to get some of the metal taste off of them.
-
try to use fresh but also use canned because of price.
-
Those of you who realize how much salt is in canned foods impress me. :highfive:
You can't beat fresh veggies, of course. Why would anyone pick otherwise? ??? However, those of us who live in more extreme climes have to deal with frozen or canned most of the year.
You can always drain and rinse your canned vegetables to eliminate that excess salt. Then you can add salt, etc. to your taste. :notworthy:
Of course, the vegetables you find at the store are a nice substitute for fresh out of the garden even though they have fewer vitamins and minerals because they've been transported here and sitting around for so long waiting for us to pick them up and use them.
Or you can can your own veggies from the garden. I did that years ago. It's labor intensive, but oh, so worth the time. When you can open up your own work of art and savor the flavor of summertime again. What a treat.

We prefer fresh in the summer and frozen in the winter time.
-
I like fresh the best and some vegetables I do like frozen like mixed vegetables. I also try to keep some canned stuff on hand for emergencies or to add to my little shih tzu's food.
-
Of course fresh. We use to have veggie garden but have been unable to the past couple of years but we regularly go to our local farmer's market and that makes no garden easy. Always able to get lots of varieties of veggies at the farmer's market.
-
canned as cheaper and no time on the go
-
If I buy fresh, at least some of it will go bad before I use it all, but I do prefer it. I like canned bc it is so easy to store, but it lacks the flavor of fresh or frozen. It just depends on what I am making too.
-
Of course I prefer fresh. We always have a large garden (our garden is in all of the former flower beds) and I freeze lots of those vegetables, I also make spaghetti, marinara, tomato sauce and paste. I like to g to farmers markets often also.
-
In my household we use fresh, frozen, and canned. We always have canned in our pantry so if no one feels like going to the store, we just use canned. We usually use frozen veggies the day we buy them and fresh whenever my grandpa gives them away from his garden.
-
I use fresh veggies all the time, but I always keep frozen veggies on hand because they store so successfully for such a long period of time. I believe they are also frozen not long after being picked so by the time they thaw, they still retain much of their goodness and vitamins. I prefer to use frozen veggies in pot pies and stews but if I am serving a dish of just veggies, I will use fresh. I try to grow my own vegetables and have had much success with tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans and many herbs. This year, I will conquer bell peppers and zuchinis. It doesn't come much fresher than home grown!

#1 Fresh
#2 Frozen
#3 Canned

I try to stay away from canned because of the added salt.
-
I buy canned I just rise them off to get the sodium off.
-
I prefer fresh and/or frozen depending on the vegetable. For instance, I will not eat fresh brussels sprouts again because I could never get them clean enough. Last time I cooked them fresh off the stalk, there were dozens of small black bugs on my sprouts and I didn't notice until I ate several of them. So from then on, I only buy bagged or frozen brussels sprouts.
-
I love fresh spinach and kale. The others I like fresh frozen. The reason being I don't need to worry about them spoiling.
-
I like fresh and frozen vegetables the best, but I buy mostly the frozen because I like it. Canned vegetables have too much sodium in them so I don't bother about eating it.
-
I use all three.
-

I love fresh but sometimes if no time just using canned vegetables.

-
I use all three. I buy a lot of canned beans and corn because they are cheaper and easier but I prefer fresh.
-
Frozen most of the time. My favorite fresh vegetables are brussels sprouts and asparagus and my daughter doesn't really like either.
-
Fresh, but frozen or can is just as good on the go.
-
I prefer fresh vegetables. It takes time to cook fresh veggies; but it is more nutritious.
-
Fresh and frozen vegetables are my favorite but sometimes I have to rely on canned vegetables if I need a quick meal. :rose:
-
Of course fresh are the best. But I much prefer frozen over canned any day. That is, unless I canned it myself! That way I know what is in it!
-
We mostly eat fresh fruits and vegetables but on rare occasions we do can.
-
I prefer frozen over canned any day. But I eat fresh fruits mostly.

Fresh of course, but find myself eating frozen quite a bit.
-
I prefer fresh vegetables, but I buy frozen too because fresh vegetables don't last long and I like to have vegetables available when I do not feel like going to the grocery store. The only thing I like in the can are beans. I like black beans, red kidney beans and Baked beans.
-
They say fresh or frozen is the healthiest, that's what I usually stick with.
-
It doesn't matter to me. But I only use canned food when we cook a big party. Usually I use fresh products.

I prefer fresh veggies... I eat them within the week at it takes 5-8 mins to boil them... I don't like frozen veggies because it gets mushy to eat, like to have some sort of crunch when eating veggies... Canned veggies I never tried... Only thing close to canned veggies is the corn
-
I like fersh and frozen they are healthier can vegs have a funny taste
-
:silly: that would depend on how quick i want dinner to be ready . ;)
-
Frozen or canned. Do not forget to rinse them very well in warm water to remove most of the sodium (salt) added during packaging.
-
canned food is my choice its just easier for me than to eat healthy
-
Canned is easiest, but I find the frozen is better for texture for some foods.
-
Fresh or frozen is good. I don't particularly like canned anything.
