Title: Spring .. Whats your favorite flower?

I like any that dont make my allergies worse. lol

Post by: vg7405 on February 16, 2016, 01:27:27 am: My favorite flowers would be carnations and roses. My boyfriend purchased them for me for Valentine's Day and they were absolutely beautiful. I simply cannot wait for spring to arrive here in New York. I miss the sun, LOL.

I think all flowers are beautiful but there is something about the sunflower, it just makes me smile. I rarely see them in person so it's a nice surprise when I do.

Just thinking about them makes me smile.

Right now, there is a softly falling snowd outside. I love that too.

However, as flowers bloom in the spring and summer, how can you not love it. Makes a harsh world look soft.

Post by: vickysue on February 16, 2016, 01:59:17 pm: I know I will be planting some rose bushes and honeysuckle this year. also am going to transplant my maxmillien sunflowers this year. the sunflowers get so tall and then once they are blooming and we get a wind or a heavy rain fall the tend to o lay down some and I don't want them in the road any more. Last year they were over 8 feet tall and just load with small yellow flowers. so they will be put up against the cinder wall at the back of the house but will still be seen from the road. Don't know what else I will plant out front this year. Two years in a row I planted seed the zinnias and each time we had a large rain storm and the seeds washed away. Guess they went down to the drainage lake for the geese. Oh well.

However I just love any kind of flowers - can't think of any I don't like or would be disappointed to get if someone sent me flowers.

Post by: luvh8tragedy87 on February 22, 2016, 01:35:38 pm: Ooh it's so hard to choose. I love flowers in general. Off the top of my head I like lilacs, hydrangeas, gladiolas, and peonies. We're moving to a place that's a lot closer to Lowe's so we'll be doing some gardening this year.
