I have a job, but I don't like it very much (which explains why I'm on FC right now, while at work). I regularly apply for other jobs -- sometimes I apply for jobs that are way above my skill level, which I really have no clue how to do. I figure maybe someday I can bluff my way into a job that pays me a six-figure salary. ;D hehe

Maybe , If i really wanted to make money. :angry7:

Actually, I do... but I get so afraid that someone's gonna call me up and realize I have 0 qualifications for the job. But I have known people who have b.s.-ed their way through jobs they weren't qualified for. They did it through persistence and seeking knowledge. It's not impossible.

I dont think I could bluff my way into a position I do not deserve, but I apply to positions that I am not qualified for yet. For example if it says 3-5 years experience, I substitute my education for the experience and apply anyway

funny that you asked that. when I was young I applied for a job in a garage. I knew absolutely nothing about fixing cars. thank god they didn't call me or I would have had a lot of explaining to do!!!!!

i'm always too intimidated to.
i'm often confused where to draw the line
at whether or not i'm AM qualified though. i mean,
a lot of jobs i've found online &stuff seem perfect
for me and the description sounds like i'd be great
at it.
however, the experience/specific degrees they're
looking for, i just don't HAVE. and its really frustrating.
BFA in this and that, 2-5 years experience. are you
kidding me? how the heck is anyone suppose
to gain the experience that these places are looking for,
if they don't give anyone a chance to? ::)

So i'm a little opposite....for the most part I really like my job and in this economy that's a plus and having a job in general is a plus. My husband has had nothing but trouble finding a job and once he does the company either is letting people go (since he was last hired he's usually first let go) or they close in general. However, just because i'd like to make more money I on occasion will look through jobs in my area that are of similar responsiblities and apply. Most of the time though they are looking for someone with a college degree and even though I do not have one, i've been working on one while working full time. So I always hope that they'll look at that. Nothing yet....it'd be nice to have that 6 figure income....heck i'd be happy with anything over $35K a year at this point.
