Title: Relocating
Post by: sherryinutah on March 02, 2016, 02:54:08 pm
I recently took a 3 month vacation from Fusioncash because I needed to relocate.  Moving can be an ugly word and I'm so glad to be "back in the saddle" again.

When is the last time you moved?

Have you ever taken a break from spending time on your earning sites?

Glad to have you back!  Did you relocate far?  The last time we moved was about 15 years.  We moved about 10 miles from our old home 😀

The last time I moved was 5 years ago... When I was little, I didn't like to move cuz I have to make new friends and get to know the area.. Probably will move  in the next 2-3 years to a place with more engineering jobs

Well first let me say "welcome back" and then glad to hear you are resettled.  I haven't moved in 20yrs. and believe me, I don't ever want to move again.

When I retired in 2010 I relocated and it was no fun. Moving can be trying with all the packing and deciding what to get rid of and what to keep. I sometimes take a break from FC, if I am traveling but since I was given a tablet as a gift I may be able to stay in touch better if I can work site from a tablet.

I last moved a little over ten years ago when I got married.  We are hoping to move again when we are able to afford a new place, but a lot of things need to fall in line before that can happen.

Back in 1998-1999 I moved three different times in the span of less than one year and I HATED it.  I was totally living out of boxes.  I was finishing up school in Toledo and my apartment lease was up in July.  I didn't know if I would be staying in town or if I would be offered a job elsewhere, but the landlord would not allow me to convert to a month to month lease in case I got an offer out of town.  So I moved to another place in Toledo where I had some flexibility.  In August I got a job offer an hour away.  I did the daily in and out commute for about 2-3 months, but with winter coming, I didn't want to do that any longer.  So I found a cottage that a family friend owned about 15 minutes away from my job. They shut it down in the winter and rented it out in the summer, so it was available to me until May when then had summer tenants coming who would pay top dollar for it.  In May of '99, I made my final move of the year into another apartment and finally set down some roots for about three years.

That lasted until the rent went up higher than I could justify/afford and I was able to rent out a large apartment above the office where I worked for well below its reasonable value.

Moving is not fun, but if you do it right, you CAN get rid of a lot of unwanted/unneeded stuff that you otherwise hang on to for years and years!

It has been quite a while when I moved into my house.  I didn't mind packing up, it's the awful unpacking and finding a place to put everything.

Moving can be a pain. i've been taking a break from fc and other sites for over a year now. just got tired of the bustle. i come on when I am board and post some stuff, maybe do a couple videos here and there. I use to get paid every payout, now im lucky to get a cashout before the stuff at the bottom starts to expire.

I haven't moved in 37 years.  I am planning one more move in my lifetime and that will be when I move to Hilo, Hawaii.  I'm still trying to talk the hubby into it.  I may have to go without him....

I completely understand, I just moved in January. It's overwhelming, but new beginnings are always worth it.

We've been in our new place for almost 2 weeks. Not only did we move but my grandma died while we were packing so that made it more overwhelming. February wasn't good for us but I'm hopeful things will get better now.

In 2009 I started caring for my mom who was ill.  I never returned to my house and started living in her house permanently.  I don't know moving is one of the worst things to have to do and always feels so much better when you get settled down.

The last time I moved was 16 years ago.  When I was growing  up my father was a construction electrican.  We moved many times when we were in school.  We lived in Tennessee and then went to SC when I was 10 years old.  We moved back to another town in TN and then to Ill.  Then to Ohio and Maryland.  Next we moved to NEW York City.  We lived there for 4 years.  And after that we moved back to Tennessee.  After I married we lived in GA. for a while and Texas for a while then back to Tn.  I liked moving around but I am too old to pick up and leave now.  Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe. :)

I want to move. Zillow.com and the internet really open your choices. Still consider it. Adult kids needs me still because of the school I wasn't able to save education. After that I will move too.

I have not moved for quite a while, but have helped my kids and close friends.  We have a little business that helps people get their home organized, so we have been doing moving for older folks downsizing lately.  (What to keep, what to donate, what to send to family, they make the choice then we take care of it for them {shipping, packing taking to the donation centers}).  It feels good to take a lot of the stress out of moving for seniors.

My girlfriend is working on saving money and then relocating to my area. I will be glad when she does and then we can see each other much more.

May I ask where you are located?  I assume your business is likely just a local sort of thing, but that sounds like something that could come in handy someday.

Relocating/moving can be such a drag. I swore that the last time we moved, seventeen years ago, would be the last time. My second, and last child, graduates from high school in sixteen months and has his eyes set on a school in Boca Raton, Florida. My wife loves hot weather so we have begun thinning out our closets of everything that we have accumulated over the last seventeen years. I say 'we' but it is almost all things that my wife and kids have refused to throw out! It took me less than two hours to clean out my clothes and study. I have not taken a conscious break from the internet thing for over six years. Sadly it is one of the few things that I do just for myself.  I have saved every single cent and get joy every time I look at the accounts that I have built up from my little efforts!

The last time I moved was around this time two years ago. I had to take a little break, maybe 3 days from my earning sites while I waited for the internet to get hooked up. When I go on vacation I usually take that time off from my sites. A week to a week and a half.  Other than that I try to stay on top of it unless I have a very busy day.
