Post by: bretay on March 13, 2016, 08:55:11 am: i am married..anniversary coming up the 24th...39 years...3 daughters(2 living)38,36 and the baby was 8 months when she passed)and 2 granddaughters ages 14 and 11..got married when i was 15 and he was 21...my oldest daughter got married in our anniversary...son in law said that way he wouldnt forget his...lol

I credit my husband with our longevity. He is the most kind, even tempered, loving man I've ever known. I love him to pieces. We have one grown son.

I met my husband on a blind date which was set up by my twin sister and her husband who was my boyfriend's (now husband's) closest friend. You've got to really trust the people setting you up on a blind date and trust that they are doing the right thing for you. In my case, it worked out really well. We went on a few outings as a foursome before plucking up courage to go out by ourselves. I would never have considered going on a blind date if it wasn't my sister setting me up!

Congratulations to the both of you staying together as a couple.
God's word says, "He who finds a wife finds a good thing." (paraphrase of God's word)
It also says that God hates divorce. So, I have shared this more than once with my husband of eighteen years and have told him to his face, "I also do not believe in divorce and as God's word says, "Until death do us part!" And I also told my husband not to get any ideas and that i meant "natural death" when God decides to take me and that \]t is based on God's decision not mine nor his when I will leave this earth to go be with our Lord! And finally, God's word also tells us "Husbands love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her!"
This is God's commandment and by the grace of God as long as "We put our trust in Christ as our Savior and Lord then he will help us to obey this very important life changing commandment! May God be praised!

There is no such thing as a perfect marriage and I would also say that it has been a great experience. He has aaccepted my oldest daughter as his own and she loves him all the same. We also have a daughter together. my life couldn't be more happier.

We have four grown children.
Six grandchildren.

We are single at times (in other words have lives of our own), married 45 years this summer and partners in creating a family with six children and 13 grandchildren with the oldest getting married in June to continue building the legacy.

Being a single mother is easier than being married to someone that does not participate. Maybe it's just me. Maybe I said too much! :-X

Hopefully I will find a good man because I would like to get married again. I enjoyed being married but my husband developed bad habits and did not want to get help, so I had to get myself and my children out of the unhealthy environment we were in.

Post by: debidoo on April 15, 2016, 09:44:07 am: I was married for 34 years but my husband died in January 2013. Being widowed sucks. That is all I can say. I miss being married and sometimes I want to meet some one else but then I don't and at almost 63 it doesn't seem to be that easy.

While we were separated, I met the man I am with now, who I can't even imagine living without, and have no idea how I lived without him before I met him. We are now living together and are planning our future. I realize that to some people marriage is important, but where I stand right now is that whether or not this man put a ring on my finger doesn't affect my love for him. I will love him whether or not we marry.
