I was raised catholic but I haven't been to mass since I was 15. I believe in God but I don't really identify with any religion. I've gone to a non-denominational church when I was living in UT a few times. I still haven't really explored any churches around here.
-

Jesus said,I have made your name known, the only true God and the one you sent forth,Jesus Christ.
He also said, this means ever-lasting life them taking in knowledge of you...referring to HIS father.
He also taught his followers to teach and preach the truth about Gods kingdom and said the stones would do it if others didnt want to.Many in the world would put their right hand on a bible but have a problem agreeing with it over their own decisions!

I am Seventh-day Adventist.
After attending a seminar, I was convinced this is where God called me to be.
My children are grown and work full-time in Christian ministry of which I am proud of and we often have round-table discussions on our personal views which are rewarding just to sit and talk without becoming argumentative.
I joined 6 years ago after being Baptist, Presbyterian and non-denominational.

I am a Baptist and attend Little Sandy Baptist Church, an Independent Baptist Church. We are a strong missions based church that supports missionaries around the world. I try to attend all services when I can ~ Sunday School, Sunday Morning Worship, Sunday Evening Service and Wednesday Prayer Meeting and Bible Study.

I'm a Christian, I attend a non-domination church and follow the (KJV) Bible.....Because my faith in The Lord I produce good deeds (because faith without good deeds are dead.) James 2:17
As a Christian we are to tell others about the Good News of Jesus Christ (this isn't pushing it down someone throat, this is our responsibility as a Child of God. Colossians 1:28 and Matthew 5:16
Who it’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow.
1 Corinthians 3:7
You can see from this passage and many more in the Bible that God requires up to tell others about The Good News of Jesus Christ. :angel11:

If you're not able to good just yet and still love to hear The Word of God check out Youtube for some good sermons.....or look online for churches that are in your area and see if you can watch a previous recorded message.
Also I would like to invite you to watch Our Church online http://gfconline.com/watch/
you can see previous sermons or watch Saturday and/or Sunday during regular church service time. You can check the service times online too.
Let me know if I can help you with anything :angel11:

Best thing about online (pre recorded) message's you can only anytime, whatever fits your schedule. And the sermons are only 30mins long ;)

I consider myself a Christian; however, I'm on my own spiritual path so I don't "hang out" at church.
I believe it's important to demonstrate faith and promote kindness and peace. I also believe in the power of prayer through the use of positive affirmations.
I also consider myself very open minded where metaphysical things are concerned.

I grew up Baptist, but I now go to a non-denomination church. I really do like this better than Baptist churches.
-
I am Catholic and try to go to church every week.
-
I am Baptist and go to church on Sunday mornings. I would go more often, but I stay at my daughter's house during the week and keep my new grandson. I also sing in the church choir.
-
Hi all! I am a Christian and attend a warm, Bible-believing Nazarene church. I also study the Bible through Bible Study Fellowship, to go deeper into my Faith.
"I'm a Christian,
a narrow road I ride,
and Jesus gave me new life
I'm a Christian,
a Bible by my side,
and Jesus gave me new life."
That's me!
-
I am a Christian and I attend worship or bible study x3 per week.
-
I am a born again christian and we home church right now....
-
I don't consider myself religious, but I am a Christian. I go to church occasionally
-
I am a christian. I pray every day however I no longer go to church. I just find that church is too political and besides now I have so many health issues I stay home most of the time and don't go much of anywhere.
-
Don't have a religion... Parents didn't enforce anything to me nor my brother in terms of religion... Guess I lean more towards agnosticism, than my brother who is an atheist
-
I was raised to go to church and to be nice about it the whole thing just did not work for me. I am glad it did not work for me too.
-
I am Christian....raised Lutheran and Presbyterian...pretty close to one another. I don't attend church as much as I should...but I pray alot and have a good relationship with God.
-
i am a baptist but i havent been to church in a long time
-
i believe in god but i dont go to church
-
I was raised Baptist. I love God endlessly for his sacrifice, forgiveness, and blessings but I don't agree with the structure of the church these days. I do tune in to telechurch sometimes. I think knowing that there is a God and living the Word is what's important instead of what church you belong to.
-
I'm a Christian and attend a Lutheran Church. I sing in the choir and serve on a number of committees in the church. Many of my fellow members are like family to me.

Is Jesus Christ actually God?
John 17:3, RS: “[Jesus prayed to his Father:] This is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God [“who alone art truly God,” NE], and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.” (Notice that Jesus referred not to himself but to his Father in heaven as “the only true God.”)
John 20:17, RS: “Jesus said to her [Mary Magdalene], ‘Do not hold me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” (So to the resurrected Jesus, the Father was God, just as the Father was God to Mary Magdalene. Interestingly, not once in Scripture do we find the Father addressing the Son as “my God.”)

The same reason why many decide for themselves today...
By the time Jesus came to earth, Jewish religious thinking and practices had strayed far from what was taught in the inspired Scriptures. The religious leaders of the day—the Sadducees, Pharisees, and scribes—upheld man-made traditions, putting them ahead of God’s written Word. Time and again they accused Jesus of breaking the Law because he performed miraculous cures on the Sabbath. By forcefully refuting their unscriptural teachings, Jesus challenged both their authority and their claims of having an approved standing with God. By contrast, Jesus came from a humble background and lacked their formal religious education. No wonder it was so difficult for such proud men to acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah! Such confrontations so enraged them that they “took counsel against [Jesus] that they might destroy him.”—Matthew 12:1-8, 14; 15:1-9.

My husband and I are Jehovah's Witnesses. We attend the Kingdom Hall every Sunday for our Public Talk and Watchtower Study. Then we have a midweek meeting to round out our Bible study.

Thank you Hitch. It's nice having you as well. Even if conversations get a bit dicey at times, I enjoy being here. The sharing of experiences and interacting is good.
Did you get a chance to hear the Special Talk today? It was beautiful. One of our local elders did a wonderful job.

Thanx Bet.I guess i am guilty at times speaking out when i shouldnt.I have to remind myself of that.I keep thinking of the scripture apostle Paul gave when speaking to others and being disappointed in himself.I owe it to God at times for putting up with me....but have to use discernment as well.

"Are you on the road to everlasting life?"
Many believe they are but what are the requirements and where do I find these requirements?
If you are looking for good legal advice would you go to an auto mechanic? No, you would go to an attorney. To learn what Jehovah God requires of us, we go straight to the source, His Word the Bible.
John 17:3 reads, 'This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ."
So is it enough just to believe this or is more required? The next time you speak to one of Jehovah's Witnesses, ask them what is required to be on the road to life; The Real Life.

I too was raised Catholic. When I turned 13 I was confirmed and that was when I decided the Catholic religion wasn't for me. The only time I've been back in a Catholic church is for funerals. I now visit A Lutheran Church. Although the pastor declares himself a non-Lutheran. He preaches more like a Baptist. I prefer saying I'm a child of Christ and a believer & follower in the word of God.

Thanx Bet
John 17:3 was a good scripture to use there!!

Hi Aggie49 and everyone else out there in Fusion Cash World:
I was raised as a Catholic, but I accepted Christ as my personal Lord and Savior at the age of l9.
And, I used to go to "all night prayer meetings," because I was "on fire" for the Lord, and , as a result, of coming home late one evening from a "prayer meeting," because I wanted to save the world through Jesus......my mom kicked me out of her home. I had no job, and I was still attending Fullerton Community college at the time, and to top it off I did not even have a car!
I told God in prayer, "As long as you provide a roof over my head, clothes to wear, and food to eat........I will follow yeu." "You will be my God and I will be your child."
The next morning, I had to pack my clothes, call up my friends, and tell them that my own mom had kicked me out of her home!
And, I rode my bike all the way into Fullerton where I began to live with other sisters in Christ who were renting out an apartment at the time.
And, I remember my mom telling me in Spanish that "I was entering a cult......and that pretty soon that they would be asking me for money."
And, she basically indicated that no one cared about me or would care about me where I would be living with these sisters in Christ.
It is too painful to even talk about this memory but suffice it to say that God has always seen me through my trials and my tribulations!
And, he has even spared my life more than once!
Finally, God's word says, "Cast all your care upon him for he careth for you./"
Praise be to God!

I currently do not have a religion. But I consider myself spiritual. I do believe God does exist.
-
I was raised baptist, but do not go to church regularly. Thinking of trying the mormon church.

Reading through the first page of comments gives me the impression that I'm going to get a ton of blacklash for my comment lol. I am Pagan and very proud to call myself Pagan. No I don't do witchcraft... the thought of casting spells is just silly lol.. No I don't make human or animal sacrifices.. that's just cruel. But being Pagan allowes me to follow and worship multiple Gods or Goddess over a spectrum of religions. And I don't have to discount scientific fact because it goes against my religious beliefs. There is no official church for Pagans because the world around us is what you'd call the respective church.

You can be a lot worse Wendy.Just think ofter he proved beyond a doubt he was divine and Gods son they still challenged that and killed him.But ask yourself this question......did they kill him because they didnt believe he was Gods son or maybe because he was a threat to exposing their BS and they didnt stand fast in the truth!
And before you come back at me and say you dont support bible please remember the book has been around for 1000s of yrs, translated in 1000's of languages and in harmony with 40 different writers of it inspired by God.It is also a history book where you can check things such as in 70CE Jerusalem was destroyed by the Roman armies and backs up a prophecy Jesus gave.I am not going to go into more detail.See for yourself all the world powers it speaks of down to our day and that long before anything else shouted out the earth was round and hanging upon nothing.
I am glad you arent into sacrificing at least. Also i was wondering do you have children?
BTW i am sorry i omitted Jesus in the first part of this post...i am sure you knew what i meant tho.

Hi Wendy. The only problem I have with your comment is the part about discounting scientific fact, by which I assume you meant evolution. Even if you didn't mean that, just realize that scientific "fact" changes quite a bit. And also realize that science and scientists are NOT immune from either prejudices or political or ideological pressure. For 40 years the scientific community believed and told the world that Piltdown Man was the missing link between apes and humans. Then the fossil was discovered to be a fake, and not a very good one at that. How did a shoddy fraud manage to fool so many scientists? Simple. They NEEDED to believe it, in order to have definite proof of evolution. So, the next time you see people discounting scientific fact to protect their religion, try questioning the supposed fact before you criticize or mock them.

Just following you up Dwana.....
Romans 1:20
English Standard Version
For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

I was born and raised Catholic. There was a time a few years ago where things were going horribly wrong for me, and I gave up on religion. I stopped going to Church, stopped praying, and stopped believing in God altogether. Then, things started turning around. I was given the strength to get through a divorce, the ability to go back home to my family, and the opportunity to meet the man I'm with now and begin a future with him. I started going back to Church the weekend of Easter, and I began to pray the rosary every night before bed. And while I can't say that I will always be going to Church every Sunday or that I will remember to pray my rosary every night, I can say that I am a proud believer in God and that I honestly believe he picked me up from my lowest point and raised me up again, and for that I will always be thankful!
-
I consider myself agnostic, I believe in a higher power, but I don't believe that power can be quantified by human understanding.

I guess its safe to say you dont support bible then because the bible says man is created in Gods image.Love, justice, power and wisdom.
Overall it truly amazes me how God is looked upon like some kind of alien. He has feelings as he has mentioned how HIS heart was hurt right before he brought the flood cos mankind was so wicked.
We know how much it means to us when others mention our name.Yet many are not willing to use Gods name. How do you love or get close to someone if you cannot even say their name?
-
I am a born-again Christian. Read the Bible and follow that. "Religion" has a LOT of man made rules that have nothing to do with following Christ. It's a total and complete surrender to Christ. The idea is before Christ I was....ME centered. After Christ.....it is CHRIST centered. (or should be;)

I was brought up Catholic but i really dont practice it anymore, I really dont follow any type of religion but i respect other peoples choices.
