Well, the battle royal will be underway soon! Early reviews haven't been extremely positive.... but it still looks fun. I'm still looking forward to seeing it next week!

I hear ya! This has the ingredients of a really good movie; good casting, special effects, action-packed story line, so it is surprising that the early critics are not overly glowing. I for one think that Henry Cavill was superb in Henry VIII a couple of years back, but when I saw him as Superman a while later, I was a little bit underwhelmed. I thought he had lost his laid back charm and charisma. I recall watching the trailer for Superman over and over again to see if I could glean a little more information than I did before. So you can imagine how unsatisfied I was when the movie came out and I felt like I was watching a different actor. Anyhow, I've bought tickets for Saturday so all will be revealed.

Yes I am off to see it tonight, I am super excited and the positive reviews make me even more jacked for it!

It's looks great and very action packed. It definitely looks like it is worth seeing on the big screen. Wonder woman looks great too.

I am looking forward to seeing the movie and so are my kids. We are going to see it for my oldest son's birthday next week. He is excited.

I haven't seen it yet so I'll reserve my judgement until I do. I did however see a review from General Zod (Superman fans understand who I'm talking about)....actually the actor who played him Michael Shannon said the following:
" I’m so utterly unconcerned with the outcome of that fight. So profoundly, utterly unconcerned. I can’t even come up with a fake answer. I guess I have to root for Superman because he killed me, so I would hope that he would continue his killing spree and become like a serial killer Superman. That’s a new take on Superman. We’d all be in a heap of trouble if Superman was a serial killer. He could just wipe us all out. But then he’d be lonely.
Isn’t he already lonely?
Well, we’re all lonely."
The logic made me laugh. :)

Ha, that's pretty good. I know Ben Affleck got some backlash when he was cast as Batman, including me. But I'm pulling for him now. I haven't read any of the reviews yet. On an unrelated note Michael Shannon's pretty awesome. I don't know if any of you ever watch Boardwalk Empire but he went from being a character I hated so much to being one of my favorites. Great actor.

I'm so out of the loop. I didn't even know there was a batman vs superman movie coming out until last week when I stumbled across some marketing stuff at work. Well, the marketing stuff hasn't been selling as great as I anticipated- I haven't heard anything good nor bad regarding the movie though.

I'll be watching for Gal Gadot: even the reviews who trashed the movie loved her. To think Wonder Woman was considered to be "unfilmable"...now she may be the saving grace of the Justice League movies.

My 4yr old grandson seen it on Easter morning he came to dinner dressed like superman so he loved it.Son in law said it was good he liked it but grandson loved it.

Went to go see it with my son and we both loved it. Critics are getting so bad at their jobs its not even funny. I was getting worried that the movie wasnt going to be so good after reading some reviews but was going to see it anyway. What do these critics need to see in order to like a movie? I mean really, its fantasy not reality. I could see if it was based on a true story and they got it all wrong but come on. Once again we have a movie here that has the usual characters that we all know and once again a storyline that true comic book fans would know and possibly have to explain to whoever doesnt. If your looking for a bright, colorful "Avengers" type movie, your not going to get it here. Batman=dark and gritty, Zack Snyder=dark and gritty, Superman visiting Gotham which is dark and gritty= movie that is "dark and gritty". Lets not forget that this is a setup to a bigger Justice League movie with Darkseid and if you dont know who that is and how he fits into the DC Universe then do yourself a favor and read up on it. Other than that, with the money that Deadpool and Batman V Superman made so far, how much would you trust what critics say about movies?

I almost felt they crammed too much. It definitely should have been a two-parter just to allow for some breathing room. Definitely should have done something like the last two Matrix movies where they were released within 6 months of each other. It would have made more sense.

elvisdo, I think i can agree with you on that but then you know the next complaint would be how we movie goers got ripped off by having to pay for 2 movies that could've been done in one. ;)

Got to see it, was not let down. The movie delivered some great moments.

I never read reviews because that really does discourage a lot of people from not even checking out a movie and sometimes reviews are not all accurate

It wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be, but I had my hopes set so high. I think when I see it again I will like it more.

The movie is boring! The first two hours of the film are just dramatic talking, but it picks up for the last 47 minutes. There is just too much going on and it all seems forced in order to launch future films. I'd rate it 6 out of 10.

I can't wait to see this one. Two idc what reviews or critics have to say because a lot of those for movies are utter bs when it comes down to it they do not speak for what people like to watch so my message to everyone else check out the movies for yourself so you know first hand if you like it or not . Not everyone is the same in taste and some reviewers and critics act like they speak for everyone which annoys me so

Might be great for casual fans, but hardcore fans and critics are hard to please... They will find something that they don't like
Next hyped movie for comic fans will be Captain America: Civil War.. Wondering how it will please the fans

I'm taking my sons to see this, I'll drop my daughters off at the mall. I've learned reviews don't reflect how you will feel about the movie. There were mixed reviews on another review that I absolutely loved.

I did not see the movie when it came out, but I took a gander at various movie-related websites. Many of the reviews were bad from my recollection. If it is the case, I am not at all that surprised. When I learned that Ben Affleck would be assuming the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman, I had to chuckle a bit. I was ruined by the awesome performance of Christian Bale in the Christopher Nolan series and was bummed to learn that he did not want to continue with the role.

Well, I saw it. Kind of a mixed review from me. I thought Affleck and the rest of the cast were generally very good. But it's very unbalanced. There's pretty much no action for at least the first hour before giving into relentless action during the 2nd half.
Also they have Batman (and arguably Superman) kill, which is very much against the superhero code. That bothered me a lot.
But if you can take a pretty boring first hour of set up and your heroes killing in wanton fashion, I say go see it. The last act is undeniably very entertaining.

There are things in Zack Snyder's head that isn't translating well onto the screen. You just have to listen to his thinking about many things and then it starts to make sense. Unfortunately, his visuals don't necessarily correspond to properly to that thinking.

Definitely checking this out upcoming weekend, ignoring the negative reviews and looking forward to chomping on some popcorn....lol

Critics reviewed badly and definitely mixed reviews on here. I think I'll just wait to see it on Xfinity at home. I like to go to the theatre when movies come out and I am really excited to see them. I just can't muster more than some mild interest in this one.

I'm sure I'll see it...I'm a movie buff. The reviews aren't good but may be a fun ride. Happy April...
