Title: FOX NEWS VS. MSNBC
Post by: bldrdev on August 27, 2009, 04:09:32 am
I always relied on CNN for the most accurate reporting,  however since Obamamania hit,  I only watch FOX NEWS.  It is so obvious how biased some of these are.

I agree that the majority of news media are extremely biased and lean heavily to the left.

I totally agree   I want them to tell me the news, not their opinion of it.

Wow Really?

I agree that All the news is biased. It's true that MSNBC kisses Obama butt , however, Fox News has always been the worst in my opinion. I can turn it on at any time of the day and see them bad mouthing the president. But if you had turned it on 2 years ago, they would have been saying that people who disagreed with Bush were unpatriotic.
Any network that would carry Glenn Beck and his hate invoking rhetoric shouldn't even be considered news.
They are just catering to the uneducated hillbillies who love their guns, bibles, and white supremacy.

All of the 24 hour news channels are a bad idea. They are purely for entertainment and profit. Since when was the news supposed to be about money instead of informing the public? When the host of a talk show is voted America's Most Trusted News Anchor ( Jon Stewart) something is seriously wrong.

okay, for once, i have to completely agree with you.

i didn't vote. even the news sources that i do watch
and like, are biased. but i recognize that and try not
to form an opinion based on just one source.

i get a kick out of john stewart, on cnbc, ha.

when you can not trust what is said by a president - then everyone should request the president to step down - your only as good as your word and it makes no difference what others say about you.  by the way, all news is old news even when you are watching it happen.

err who (or what organization) gets to determine how much trust is put in what a President says and why do they get to determine it?  What is the criteria for determining a President's level of trust?

Most of the general public don't have the slightest clue what's going on in politics.  The majority probably haven't taken a single 100/200 level political science course.  The majority probably haven't taken a 100/200 level economics course.  The majority probably couldn't tell you the difference between the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.  The majority probably couldn't name any of the Bill of Rights outside the first and second (and even then, they don't know what those really mean), nor could they tell you which national document the Bill of Rights is even associated with.

The idea that the President should be removed from office because some people don't "trust" him/her is silly.

 for FOX NEWS!  I too have seen the bias so prevalent in the other networks; you don't even get the truth about who he has as his advisors from the other networks.  But I do remember to pray for him as we are told to pray for those in authority in the New Testament.  I would NOT want his job!

I have given up on the national news channels.  I only watch my local news.  The rest of the channels only tell garbage and I end up being pissed off by the end of the news.

You cannot complain about bias of other networks then talk great about Fox News.  Shows your own bias.

All mainstream US "news" networks are biased...VERY biased at that.

Fox "News" is nothing but a propaganda outlet for the Republican Party.  Their stories, when not completely fabricated, are filled with errors, non-sensical arguments, and outright distortions.  Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly are on Fox- that alone should tell any rational person that something isn't right.

The other news networks aren't much better, sadly.  No wonder this country is so screwed up.

The news media is shameful in the US.  I shouldn't have to go straight to the AP or even the BBC to get my news.

For all you who think Fox News is completely truthful, try reading the news flat out from an unbiased source, not a network channel.  When they report on Obama, there shouldn't be any "this contributes to his socialist agenda" nor any "the President is always right.  Bow to him."

Besides, Glen Beck is the worst actor I've ever seen with his crying.  For the record, I hate Olberman just as much.

I don't want my  news from a TV perosnality, I want it from a real journalist.
