Title: What Prince Songs Have You Liked?
Post by: Cbsteffen on April 21, 2016, 08:40:24 pm: Prince Rogers Nelson (known as just Prince as a musical artist) died today (April 21) of causes unknown so far. What songs of his would you remember him for regardless of whether he went by Prince or the unpronounceable symbol? I'll remember 1999, Purple Rain, Little Red Corvette, The Most Beautiful Girl in the World, and Raspberry Beret.

I really lov that guy - I'm so sad right now. He left us a lot of great music and was a real trailblazer. He left a legacy for sure! :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Post by: linderlizzie on April 22, 2016, 07:41:53 am: I heard this morning that his latest no-shows were due to overdosing and that's why he didn't feel well enough to perform. So I'm sure that must have contributed to his death. It seems to happen to many rock stars unfortunately.

My very favorites by Prince is "Cream" and "When Doves Cry."

You have the EXACT answer I was going to give. I agree with you wholeheartedly. It would, without a doubt, be difficult to pick just one or two songs as favorites. Small guy, big talent!!!!!

I knew that he was sick with the flu a few weeks ago, but I did not believe he would have died weeks later. Now, whether the illness had anything to do with his sudden death remains a mystery and will have to wait for whatever discoveries come out of the autopsy report. In any event, in response to the question posed by the OP, I like the song "If I Was Your Girlfriend"

I’ve loved ‘Little Red Corvette’ ‘When Doves cry’ ‘Raspberry Beret’ ‘1999’ and ‘Purple Rain’ since they first came out and I made sure as soon as I got an Itunes account I bought them. I didn't need his death to remind me how good his stuff was. I always listened to him.
