sometimes, it's difficult to keep up with things that need to be done.
I remember a time when I was nanny to 4 children.
I would guide them in the morning with each of their home school workbooks.
I did my best to prepare lunch and dinner, sometimes with the help of the oldest daughter.
the one thing that I never could keep up with was the laundry.
As soon as the laundry basket was empty and I saw that the bottom of the basket was white, here would come one of the boys with an armful of dirty clothes.
Personally, I don't like things to pile up. I can usually solve a problem or seek out someone who can help me.
Years ago, I thought of a way to ward off disappointment. I figured out that if I had 5 possible solutions, one of them would work by the time I got down to #5.

i don't like things to pile up either makes me a nervous wreck !! but i have found getting older i forget about things my ms makes my mind so foggy alot of the time and i have to write notes and leave all over the house so i can remember things

i hate when things pile up too. i babysit 5 kids and i don't know how the go through so many dishes and clothes in one day. so i try to help out with these things as much as i can.

I must say I too don't like things "piling up". I need to have things whether it's laundry or cleaning done on an even keel so they don't pile up.

I sometimes have things to do and don't get to them. I also used to let my email pile up as well. Now I am better organized.

I must agree with everyone so far. I don't like pile ups. When my list of 'to do's' begins to go down and the chores and errands get done, it makes me feel better physically.
Then of course the opposite can be true - the more piling up, the worse I feel. Since I love to feel good, my to do list stays very low.

Once in a while i feel as if every thing is piling up on me. It is hard trying to keep up with things when a person is not feeling well and then i also have stuff i do for my stepfather which adds to it all. Keeping up wth his meds. is one of the hardest. He knows he is getting low but will wait until i get out there to count his meds. and he may only have a couple of days left and i order right away but if the weekend falls in between i can't get them until Monday and the grips because he is out. I just ignore it anymore. Then of course his laundry has to be done and i bring it home to do so i can get more done at home, grocery shopping is a chore. Wish i had help from the rest of the family

I kill myself to avoid things piling up. I am doing the work of two people at my daytime job, am salaried, and work forty eight to fifty two hours a week to insure that the quality of my work is better than everyone else's and that I never fall behind or need someone else's assistance. I schedule myself or thirty two hours a week at my evening/weekend job but generally end up working between forty to forty five hours, once again, insuring that my work scores are always higher than my peers and that I am under promising/over extending. I used to be self employed and would work between eighty to ninety hours a week but found that, after thirty years, the public sector was not interested in quality only nickle and dime-ing every bona fide fee charged.
