I just had a relationship end that is very hurtful to me, but there is no way of getting back together. How do I move on? What is the best way to get over a broken heart? I'm not sure I want to date anyone else right now either?

For me, it's just time. As much as that hurts you just have to wait it out. I think you should allow yourself to feel the hurt, get in bed, cry your eyes out, then get up and say, okay I'm moving on today. The next day, do the same thing, if you feel like crying do it, decide on the amount of time each day you will allow yourself to wallow in the pain, do it and then move on with the day telling yourself you will not give that person anymore power today. One day you will suddenly feel like, I don't need that time to cry and feel the pain. Only allow yourself to feel it for a certain amount of time each day.

Work on making yourself what you want to be. Explore interests that you've never tried before.
Realize your own worth and that it's not what others think of you, but what you think of yourself.
Remember we all go through this stuff and that you're not alone. It will get better.

Take interest in yourself. Do things that you find enjoyable. Don't go looking for another relationship, let it come to you. Make yourself happy before trying to make someone else happy for a change. Time heals all wounds....

One thing I've done is make lists. I think these distract and comfort me at the same time. Some lists I've made in the past... pro's & con's being with said person ... you're morning a loss. So allow yourself time to mourn. Things I want to do list. Things I'm grateful for list. People I've "put off" list.... This is a fun one.. kinda shakes ya up to reach out and get together with people you've not seen in a while.

I don't know if you do this, or not, but... do not stalk them on social media.
To heal you need to cut them out of your life, if only temporary. Checking up on them on social media even if it is just getting their feed postings on facebook, just prolongs the pain & healing.
I agree with the keep yourself busy part.

Try to move on as soon as you can and pray to God to send you the right person for you. Remember God time is not like our time so wait on the Lord.

The end of a relationship is very much like a death. Give yourself some time to grieve, but don't overthink what could have been different. What's done is done. I believe there's a reason for everything, and maybe that reason could be to put you on a new path and a fresh start. A broken heart takes time to heal and there's no reason to rush in to another relationship. Take your time, discover "you" again, and treat yourself well. You'll get through it. I hope your healing process is quick and that you feel better soon.

The best way to get over a broken heart is time
-
You need time, but I don't think you really ever get over it. I still sometimes think about my 'first great love' and what our life would have been.
-
Take time to heal. Find a hobby to possibly get your mind off things.
-
It is very hard but just give it time. Might take awhile but you will eventually heal.

You should find the peace and relaxation in being by yourself for a while. Go out with same sex friends...no pressure to start anything new with anyone! Be secure in being with yourself before you start another relationship!

I think no one has the answer for you at this time. No matter what advice we will give you, only you can make the decision rather you will be happy with your life or not. Trust me some people hurt themselves while in this state of mind. Time heal all wounds and at the same time seek help from your family or even your Ecclesiatical leader. This is not the end of the your world. It is only the beginning, A famous Polynesian proverb goes something like this-" There are plenty of fish in the sea!"

It is not easy to get over a broken heart, but one of the things I found helpful was keeping myself busy and active in group activities. I was also able to get over my broken heart when I stopped thinking about the good times in the relationship and focus on all the bad things that happen and why I should not be with that person. After a while I became discussed with myself for feeling sad when I should feel happy I do not have that person in my life anymore.

just take your time you will know when it is time to try again

Have a strong support system, keep ur self busy with hobbies, etc.

Well that is an extremely difficult question - had a broken heart twice and I don't know that you ever completely 100% get over it but it gets better little by little. In my case there was no going back to the relationship in either case so every day I had to remind myself of that and little by little it wasn't such an open wound. Good luck to you - hope things get better for you soon.

Never start dating right away cuz it'll be just wrong cuz you need to recover from that current break up. Time is the only cure to heart break! First step, start getting to know your self again, the single you mode!

Time...time - Al Green - And how can you mend a broken heart?
How can you stop the rain falling down?
Tell me how can you stop the sun from shining?
What makes the world go 'round?
How can you mend this broken man?
How can a loser ever win?
Somebody please help me mend my broken heart
And let me live again
