Title: do you buy new products when they come out
Post by: aggie49 on June 09, 2016, 03:00:21 pm: i try to wait a few weeks before buying new items to see how people review them especially electronics

If it's something I really can't wait to try, I have a "techie" friend that is always getting the latest goody as soon as it comes out so I will text him and get all the juicy details to see if it's worth spending the money on it.

Post by: Penwoir on June 09, 2016, 08:24:06 pm: With anything remotely expensive, like electronics or appliances, I will wail until others review the products before I consider purchasing them. I always find other peoples comments really valuable, so in turn I try to review products after I have purchased them. If it's something quite inexpensive though, like a new cleaning product or a new food item, I won't hesitate to give something new a go. But better beware, if it's not great, I will not purchase it twice. Something has to be good on it's own merits if I am to continue buying it.

Major purchases, however, I prefer to wait on and research a little first to ensure I'm making an informed purchase. It's also a good way to save money. Taking a little time can sometimes result in finding a better deal.

Post by: braggin on June 11, 2016, 06:01:12 am: When it comes to electronics, I usually wait at least a year to buy something I like. That way, all the bugs can be worked out, so when it comes to buying a year later, there isn't so much likely to go wrong with the item. Plus the price usually comes down in that period of time too.

For everything else I wait till the price comes down and to see what the reliability and reviews are of said product.
