Post by: camellia0 on June 11, 2016, 05:54:16 pm
I love them, actually I'm addicted. Does anyone make these at home?

We make a big pot of decaf at home everyday now then ice it after it sets. Today I added milk.

I have never had an iced coffee.  Is it just coffee that you cool and add ice cubes to?  Or is it more than just that?  Someone added milk.....is that similar to adding creamer to hot coffee for the flavor benefit?

Well, I just use normal coffee, like Kroger's, or Starbucks Decaf Expresso. Adding milk, makes it more like a latte. I get a bag of frozen ice to use for it.

I am kinda hard core with Iced coffee.

I drink coffee black, so just put some in a glass of ice and enjoy.  I load up on ice.

I have played with flavors etc, but I love good coffee without the frills.

I even drink it in the winter, occasionally.  I prefer Yuban coffee, but any brand works.

Gooood stuff!   :rose:

I enjoy iced coffee way more than hot coffee. Mine little recipe is pretty simple, instant black coffee, coconut milk, and ice cubes to cool. Once in a while I like to put some whipped cream on there.

I just add ice cubes to my cup.  To take to work I will add a little creamer and add ice once I get there.

If you get iced coffee from restaurants its usually a much stronger brew so the coffee isn't as diluted and weak when the ice melts

There is also cold brewed coffee that isn't prepared with heat at all but requires much more time and effort

I like to drink a cup of coffee in the morning, but in the summer it makes me hot, so after reading this thread I think I will try iced coffee.  I think I will make coffee ice cubes to put in it though so the taste doesn't dilute.

I don't make them at home but have always been tempted to try making them.  However right now Dunkin Donuts has one that is Almond Joy flavored and I think I am going to definitely try one of those as coconut and chocolate are two of my favorite flavors.

I actually don't care for Iced Coffee. I like those frappes from Mcd's but not really the same. That's about it, other than hot coffee. Although now that the summer has hit, it would be nice to have the coffee not the same temperature as the weather!

I drink coffee black, every morning I put 4 ice cubes in my coffee to cool it down.
I drink the cold brew from starbucks, black, and I love that... it's iced & really strong.

I used to drink those "fancy" iced coffee drinks, but they are too many calories & too sweet for me now.

I make a lovely iced coffee for each member of my family every Saturday or Sunday - depending on when we are going out for the day. I use a frappe mix from the grocery store, add a little boiling water (because it doesn't dissolve in cold water or milk), and then once its dissolved I add a couple of ice cubes. Then I top the iced coffee up with milk and chocolate ice cream. On the top I squirt some Reddi-Whip and do I use store-bought disposable cups? Nope. I use old McDonalds frappe cups which I have thoroughly cleaned and washed. I can make 4 medium frappes for under $2 total!

I also have a stove top Expresso maker when I want to make my decaf iced  Americanos at home , they are a favorite from Starbucks.

Also like iced Blueberry decaf from Dunkin. Also get iced coffee from Panera, but it's not in decaf, so I load up on the ice.
