Anyone else suffer from chronic knee pain, if so, other than surgery and
Getting expensive shots, what else has helped your pain? I do ice treatments,
Bengay, Osteo BiFlex tabs and rest.

Have you ever tried going to physical therapy to learn different stretches you can do to help strengthen your muscles. Also using an over the counter pain reliever can help me at times too.

Knee pain can be caused by a variety of things. If it's chronic, you need to know the cause before you can treat the pain.

Just over the course of the last 9 months or so I've begun to experience knee pain. I've gone to the Dr. They gave me naproxen. Did an ultrasound to rule out a blood clot. A couple of x-rays show water on one knee. And they've ordered me to physical therapy. Although my work schedule hasn't worked out yet for that. My knee's pop and grind. There are days I can't get up from a squat without assistance. Getting old certainly isn't fun on the old knees.

I also have chronic knee pain and have tried all the over the counter pills and creams. Nothing seems to help. I have also had a shot one time and it helped for a while. I don't want to have surgery at this time. Also I can't take any prescription medication for arthritis because I'm allergic to sulfur drugs.
