I"ve never written a book. At this point in my life, there isn't anything that I want to say. So I definitely know that it's not gonna happen in my immediate future.

I'm writing one now, it's pretty easy to self publish now on Amazon

Yeah.  :) Haven't edited it or polished it up enough to try to get it properly published, but it's written. Almost done writing a second one, too. Very fulfilling! Side note, I don't think we need to be so rude, fjaz1.  ;) :)

I am pretty sure that "written a book?" is not a contributory post.  Just posting something to make your quota won't work, you need to write something (like I am doing now).  I know it is near the end of the month and lots of us are trying to make sure we have enough posts, but keep in mind that FC does check and if you aren't "contributing", they may not award the $3 bonus. 

Maybe you could have told us a bit about your own personal experience with book writing and then posed the question?  That would have been more interesting and more likely to be "counted".
