Title: What type of movies do you like?
Post by: melodylogan45 on August 22, 2016, 08:02:02 am: I enjoy drama, action, and some comedy. I do not like horror or sci fi movies.

Post by: catherinedwhite on August 25, 2016, 06:03:47 am: I really enjoy a wide variety of themes when it comes to a movie. What makes me think a movie was good is when it makes me get lost in the storyline and care about the characters of the movie.

Post by: UGetPaid on August 25, 2016, 10:47:53 am: I enjoy action, drama, thriller, comedy - but my absolute favorite type of movies are documentaries. Although it is next to impossible to find an objective true documentary these days - most movies billed as documentaries are just disguised propaganda by filmmakers with a specific political agenda (see anything produced by Michael Moore). But I'll admit that even his films can be enlightening if you can see through his agenda.

I like documentary films like Vernon, Florida and Gates of Heaven by Errol Morris; Brothers Keeper and Paradise Lost by Joe Berlinger; and probably my absolute favorite Harlan County USA from Barbara Kopple. These are all movies about real people in real situations. Even these directors had their own agendas (just not as blatant as that hack Michael Moore).
