What are you doing this holiday weekend? Are you barbecuing or going to visit

Not to much; several of our counties in our  state have been placed under an emergency watch because of the hurricane, while my county is not under the watch, we may get some of the outer banks of rain so generally staying close to home.

I'm working this weekend. This will be the last holiday I work before I retire.

Congrats on your upcoming retirement.  My husband and I recently retired and are enjoying every minute of it.  So great to wake up and be able to decide what do we want to do today.    ;D

No plans to travel anywhere.   Just going to relax at home and barbecue.   Since we no longer work the 3 days weekends aren't as important to us as they were before.  But I hope all of you that are still in the work force enjoy your 3 day holiday weekend.

Beautiful weather here in Colorado. although, it usually is. It only seems to snow in our area when there is a nationally televised sporting event. I joined my kids for a concert last night. Being somewhat of a tightwad, I took the light rail to downtown Denver and then walked three miles to the concert. Nine hours on my feet and several hours dancing later and I am feeling a little tight today! Not o mention a few beers thrown in for good measure. And my ears are still ringing a little. In any case I had a ball with the kids but wished my wife was into concerts as well. It was especially nice because I took yesterday (this weekend) off from work which is something I never do. And I still have three full days left!

No plans here. Supposedly to be nice but we're not going anywhere or going to do anything except the same routine. it's bad enough that it's September already. I'm not looking forward to winter, especially if we have snow. I can't get out in the snow. i hate the cold, too, but I also hate the temps over 75.

I don't have much planned. I'll be doing some car work since it's a good time to get some work done.

I have friends and family coming to stayover tomorrow night, so today I'm preparing the house for guests.
It's a lot of work and money to host guests, people take it for granted, but the host has to clean the entire house and buy a bunch of food. Then keep the house clean while they are here.   All the utilities go up as well, electric and water...       Labor day will truly be labor day.     lol
