I'm very lucky, I have two best friends.  The one I've know for about 20 years and the other about 15.

Thank goodness for FB to stay in touch with friends.  I've had a few friends through the years who when we're apart we miss each other dearly... then we bump into one another and it seems like old times again.  Oh how I enjoy catching up in those short moments with long lost friends.  My childhood BFF doesn't post much on FB In fact her daughter is already 2 or 3 and she just posted a pic of her for the first time.  Of course I saw it... and of course I reacted.  And of course she responded and it's like time never passed between us.

My best friend and I refer to ourselves as, "best friends since 8th grade."  And that we are.

I don't have any friends.  Spent most of my adult life just with family interactions.  I had a good friend in high school but she kind of messed me over after high school and so although she now lives near me we just don't have anything in common anymore and too much water under the bridge so to speak.

I met my best friend when I was 15 years old. I still remember the day we met because I laughed at her for having dread locks, yes we lived in the city but we were the white kids, we still laugh about that. I am very happy as through out what life throws at us, kids, marriages, her husband passing, losing parents we have remand close. We talk weekly even if it's just to say thinking of you.

I have several good friends, and a couple of best, although we are miles apart we do a lot of talking on the phone, texting and face book and e-mail.  I am closer to them then i will ever be to my sister. And it is a shame, but she is to blame, i have tried but she knows it all and the only one who knows how, what, and when to do things. So i just quit , glad to see her when she comes and can't wait till she leaves, then i have to straighten thing s up with our stepfather. He is so darn cranky  when she leaves and nothing i do for awhile is right. So i just stay away a couple of weeks and then he is back on an even keel.

We've been friends for over 20 years. There were a few years where we lost contact, but we've been connected ever since. She lives in another state so I don't get to see her, but we talk on the phone at least a couple of times a week.

My friends have been around for twenty five to thirty years. We may not talk for a year but can pick up right where we left off. They are always welcome to stay at my house and I am always welcome to stay at theirs. They are always on my side and willing to gently offer suggestions if I seem to be a tad off kilter.  We can get into arguments and forget about those arguments within minutes. I feel bad because one of my friends has been to all of my land mark birthdays and I have to miss his because all of my money is going into my children's education and sports right now. He gave me a soft guilt trip and I know that we will get past this but I still hate to let him down.  I have at least five more years of working every hour that I physically can and I hope that my friends understand that.

Since the 1st grade, 1993. I haven't seen her since 2012. She got married to someone we both went to school with and moved to Fort Hood since that's where he was stationed. At least we can keep in touch with facebook and texting.

I have several best friends, but the one I call my TRUE BFF- her and I have been friends since we were 13, so that's 27 years ago... She has always been there for me, and I don't see anything changing any time soon.

I feel like I have had a variety of "best" friends through the different chapters of my life. I am lucky to have many close friends I feel I could count on in an emergency situation.

back in 2011, a friend from high school came to see me.
it had been 35 years since we'd seen each other.
her sisters were with her. we all knew each other.
when you're friends, you visit each other's houses to hang out.
she always remembered me and even remembered my mom.

I have three best friends. One since the third grade, the other since 9th grade and the other for about 12 years. I am 42, and I don't have a lot of friends, but the ones I do have are true blue. I am blessed.
