If someone puts you in a bad mood a lot is it best to stay away from them all together or just take it and deal with it.

someone offended me last week.
I just walked away to cool off.
I hope the issue won't come up again.
I try to respond with a joke to keep it from "getting to me".

I think it just depends on the situation, but if it's something this person does all the time, then I'd try and stay away from them as much as possible.

Most of the time it is best to walkaway from it all, if you don't you are putting yourself into a bad spot. When my kids did something i got mad about i just sent them to their room and i would tell them we will talk about the punishment the next day. It got to them to have to wait all night until they knew what i was going to make them do or what i might take away from them. But sometimes i just needed to calm down before anger took over

I love this saying "Life is too short to put up with people that suck the happiness out of you!" :)

If they seem to be doing it often I would say they are toxic and someone to stay away from...jmt

We had someone staying with us for TWO YEARS that was constant drama, negativity, and just completely unpleasant. Threw the house into emotional disarray anytime she was around. She's been out for the last two weeks, but I think she'll always find a way to keep a foot in the door... For me, I just always tried to ignore her and go about my business same as usual. That's all you can do, really, sometimes!

It is hard when those people are some of your own extended family members! Kind of impossible to stay away from them altogether. Like today, I had to take a deep breath and say God help me to love them anyway! Kill them with kindness. Be the better person. This is not easy, but at least it makes me feel better in the end! :)

So true, when people are negative that does affect those around them. Stay far away from that person. And if by chance it's a co-worker, then stay on the topic of work and get away from them.
-
I avoid them and even when I am in contact with them I have little or nothing to say.
-
I use to ignore them. I'm mad at my brother for 2 years straight. :)

It is true for me as well. Although, with the nature of my job, having a bad mood (and trying to find that medium where I want to stay away from the person (or people in general, LOL), is very difficult to do.

I try to avoid them

I avoid them too and just convalesce in my room listening to music or watch TV while sulking, lol.
-
Avoid those negative people in your life. They are nothing but trouble! Do not let them bring you down and ruin your life.
-
yep i usually just avoid them........

The older I get I am less tolerant of "drama". So, I avoid people that suck the life out of me with their drama and negativity.

Majority of the time it is best to walk away from either the situation or the person. In my honest opinion, I think it depends on who it is. If it is someone who you are close with then try giving them some space and see what happens. If it is someone you love, maybe talk to them about it. If it isn't someone you are close or love, then just walk away.
