i mostly use the dishwasher but i do wash them by hand if there is a couple of things :)
-
I always hand wash... even when I had a dishwasher I still hand wash.
-
I hand wash and put them in the dishwasher to air dry.
-
i have never had or used a dishwasher in my life
-
It really depends on the amount of dishes. If it's a lot of dishes the dishwasher gets used.
-
I always use the dishwasher, it uses water mush hotter than I can stand, so I feel like it is a good for safety .
-
I normally use my dishwasher. If I have large items, those I handle wash especially large pots and pans. :)
-
I don't have much of a choice - I don't have a dishwasher....
-
I don't have or use a dishwasher it's only me so I had wash.
-
I do both. Pots and pans take up too much room in the dishwasher and I don't like to waste anything. One pot in the dishwasher takes up the space of five smaller dishes. I usually try to wash a few plates when I am doing pots as well just because it is easy to get done and I still have warm, clean soapy water with which to complete the task. I do a pretty thorough job of rinsing dishes before I put them in the dish washer as well. My family is not quite so conscientious. Knives with peanut butter, glasses with chocolate mix on the bottom, and plates with cheese or potatoes get thrown in the dishwasher, by them, with a nary a thought as to the outcome. I have just taken to putting their dishes away after the wash and let them figure out why they still have dirty dishes.
-
both about the same.
-
I use the dishwasher about once a week, I just wash up the few things I have by hand most of the time
-
No dishwasher so it's always hand wash. Reading the responses I was surprised at how many said they didn't have a dishwasher. Always feel like I'm in the minority with no dishwasher. Don't mind handwashing since it's just my husband and I. What I really want is a garbage disposal.
-
No choice but to hand wash.
-
My dishwasher is broken so I have to hand wash.
-
I used dishwasher but i wash by my hands like pots and sensitive glasses.
-
Dishwasher for plates and cutlery. Hand wash pots and pans unless it is really baked on.
-
I just was by hand, when i had a dishwasher in another part of the state it was a constant battle between my hubby and i as to how i wanted the dishers done in the dishwasher, which was glean off all debris and then put in the dishwasher, but nope not him. I kept telling him it was going to clog up the line because we did not have a garbage disposer. Well sure enough it did and it took about three days to get some one in. so i just unplugged it and said no more. But i would plug it back in when i went to wash up jars to can because it was so hot i did not have to worry about jars breaking. But now i don't have one at all and it suits me just fine. When i need peace and quite i am doing the dishes. There is just 2 of us.

we have a dishwasher but my daughter hardly ever uses it she would rather just hand wash the dishes
-
I do a little of both. I usually wash my pots and pans by hand; the rest by dishwasher.
-
I don't have a dishwasher anymore, so everything is hand washed.
-
I mostly use the dishwaher. but I only run it about once a week. Tend to wash pots, pans and large bowls by hand etc. . :pumpkin: :pumpkin: :peace:
-
Depends on how many dishes there are to be washed. If there's just a few then they're hand washed. Then over the weekend we tend to have a lot more and those usually go in the dishwasher.
-
I do both. Most of the time though I will just wash them by hand. Since its only my husband and I there are never a whole lot of dishes at once.
-
No dishwasher. I have to hand wash! And right now, the sink is having issues so I need someone to fix it!
-
I do not used dishwasher anymore. I preferred hand wash i think it's better cleaning and neat.
-
I hand wash, cause I don't own a dishwasher. :(
-
I hand wash because I don't own a dishwasher.
-
I use both
-
Mostly handwash, however, if the dishes somehow become a mountain in one day, I'm throwin that in the dishwasher lol
-
I do both depending on much there is. Seems we always run out of cups and glasses
-
If I only have a few dishes I wash them by hand. If it is a lot I use the dishwasher because I can't stand dirty dishes in the sink.
-
The new place has no dishwasher,so by hand we do
-
Hand wash
-
I wish....I wish.....I had a dish.....washer!
I am 73. Imagine how many dishes that is ...ha ha ha!
:rose:
-
I wash them by hand. I'm low tech.
-
I dont own a dishwasher where i am now. At home though I use the dishwasher and it just doesnt seem to always wash my dishes properly.
-
I usually handwash all of my dishes because dishwasher usually leave a spot on dishes. When that happens, you have to re-wash the dishes, so I'd rather do it one time and wash in the sink.
-
Hand wash! In fact, just this afternoon I spent about twenty minutes at the sink washing a week's worth of dishes! We have a dishwasher but it's pretty ancient and hasn't worked as long as we have lived here.
-
I feel like the dishes are more clean if I wash them by hand
-
I don't have a choice but to wash dishes by hand. I don't have a dishwasher.
-
I use my dishwasher.... I handwash SOME things, but most are put in the dishwasher.
-
I hand wash (For now) We just ran the dishwasher in this (new) place last week to see if it runs. No leaks - put off heat so I'll be getting detergent for it and making the crossover any day now!
-
We wash by hand, dishwasher don't work as good, so my husband said.
-
I don';t have a dishwasher so I have to wash my dishes by hand. I have always wanted one but guess I won't have one. :)
-
I have never had a dishwasher ever in my life so I have only ever hand washed the dishes.
-
If it's a lot of dishes, definitely throw them in the dishwasher. But if it's only a couple, I don't like leaving them in my sink so I will just hand wash them.
-
My husband does the dishes in our house. He uses the dishwasher as much as possible.
-
We use a dishwasher.
-
@ gaulasue that's sweet. my dishwasher not working and i do not like use it

-
main dishes dish wash and a few hand wash
-
I do not have much dishes to wash at any given time. I hand wash my dishes.

I use a dishwasher.

its a lot cheaper by hand ;D
-
My dishwasher stopped working years ago so I always hand wash.
-
I use hand wash most of the time. But if I'm at the kitchen, I use dishwash. :)
-
Hand wash. Not sure how effective and cost efficient the dishwasher is.
-
How about this, who asks more questions on here to get their quota, you or melodylogan? Try posting some topics for discussion instead of just asking questions, geez ::) So lame, and shows lack of effort which is an indication of how you must be with other things in your life. 8)
-
I do not have a dishwasher.
-
Handwash, we have a dishwasher but for two people it takes way to long to fill up with stuff to run and you need stuff out of it. We used a dishwasher when I was a kid and there was 4 of us, but I still remember having to rewash stuff or prewash. Plus it is so much easier to just clean it when you use it.
-
I hand wash all my dishes. Don't have a dishwasher. Not sure I would ever want one. Water usage can be expensive.
-
We always wash by hand. It totally is an asian thing to never use the dishwasher.
-
We- well the kids, hand wash the dishes.
-
I use both. I put the plates, cups, and utensils in the dishwasher to get sterilized and wash the pots, pans, and plastic tubs used for food storage by hand after the meal. I only run the dishwasher every other day or so, but do the hand washing on a regular basis so there are no dirty pots and pan cluttering up the kitchen.
-
I used a dish washer until my grand children decided that they would stand on the door and jump up and down until the whole door broke off. Now I have to save and buy anther one.
-
I do both - mostly dishes, silverware and small serving bowls go in the dishwasher and I wash the bigger items.
-
Since I don't usually have a "house full of guests", I hand wash a lot more than use the dishwasher.
-
we don't have a dishwasher so it has to be by hand. have a feeling I wouldn't use it if we did have a dishwasher. easier to do by hand and save power and water.
