I need help blocking calls usually it's 2 numbers they usually call at the most annoying time(while sleeping or middle of work) . I believe it is either a collection agency or a scam call. They do not leave a message. Sometimes they call about 7-8 minutes apart. But it's usually the same numbers. I have a basic cell but I do not use the internet nor do I know how to block it. Anyone who can help will be appreciative. Thanks and enjoy your gobble gobble day!

I have an Android and I use a free app called DU caller that lets you mark numbers as spam or legit. They also have a big database that already has many numbers logged. It immediately makes my phone block lots of numbers until they finally stop calling.

Aww thanks I have just a basic cell. I have an LG410. I don't have any apps not sure if I do. I am waiting for my wife to take it to Costco and ask someone there if they can do something I am tired of getting calls from area code 602.

If you think it is a collection agency then answer the phone and talk to them. If it is a spam caller all you can do is ignore it if you only have a basic phone. You might can call your provider but with a basic phone I don't think you have the option of blocking callers.

I have a pretty cheap cell, I can go to call history, missed calls, then I can choose to add to blocked list.
Have you tried googling LG410 how to block calls?

]I have tried googling but it doesn't having anything there for my type phone. Now I searched online for that phone number and there are a lot of people who reported that it was people from midland credit collection/scam agency. I don't have any past due bills nor do I owe anyone anything. They called twice today. I was told once you answered it, They will continue to call and call. So I didn't answer it!!!

Oh no! Those obnoxious telephone telemarketers trying to scam people again!
There has to be an easier way to stop them!

There is. Ignore the call. When I receive calls from unknown numbers or even other countries (yes it has happened) I just do not answer the phone. You can block that specific number but they usually have a ton of numbers they call from. Or they spoof the number so there is no way to block it. I was with a friend one time and his phone rang and he looked at it and it was HIS phone number. He said "how am I calling myself"? I told him not to answer it.

Just don't answer the call and let it go straight to voice mail and if no message, just delete.
-
The only problem I really have now that I can block calls fast is that when they do get through, they force me to go delete a bunch of voicemails that are just some automatic machine saying "goodbye."
-
You can go to cell phone address list to block it. It will show that number call but it will not ring or vibration. Do not call list is not helping no more. Good luck
-
let it go to voicemail
-
If it is important then they will leave a voice mail.. It probably is telemarketer or a wrong phone call.. I would put the call in ignore/block/spam.. Usually tht will block the number... If you are harassed by telemarketers, apply for Do Not Call Registry in FTC site.. That will tell telemarketers to stop calling or if they keep on harassing, they will get a fine by the FTC (by complaint)

I hate blocking phone numbers, email addresses, and online accounts. Just because you would block a phone number doesn't mean the caller will stop calling you. That person might try calling you again from another phone number. Think about cyberbullying. When someone blocks a cyberbully, the cyberbully will have a desire to start another account and keep harassing that person.
-
try calling your cell phone provider and give the numbers to them. maybe they can block from their end so the calls don't go through
-
I always google the number and see if there are any reports on that number being a scam or where it's coming from. Then you can call your wireless carrier or go online and log into your carrier service and there is a way to block unwanted numbers. I do it all the time! lol

I get alot of sales calls and hangups, I just don't answer, let it go to voicemail.
-
Geez, I wish I could help ya! Before 9am I received 3 sales calls and I hadn't even eaten my breakfast yet. The same number is registered on my phone so I know who is calling. Today I picked up the phone and without even saying "Hello", I said, "Would you please stop calling this number!!". The lady promptly replied "No, probably not!". I mean, why would I ever choose to do business with a company which can't follow a simple request. Are there really people who agree to sign up for a deal just to have a company stop bothering them? Really, it's verging on bullying!

Calls from telemarketers are the bane of a lot of people to include me. Unknown numbers, Incoming called with a name or the same number calling several times a day is really annoying. Although I don't answer the phone, it is a problem.
-
im not sure how to do it but i see others have given some suggestions to help with this problem.

I once got an automated telemarketer from the phone number "-1." I blocked the number... haha.

There is a program called 'nomorobo' that is completely free, sanctioned by the gov, & provided by most phone companies.
I have time warner for my home phone & opted in for it. It goes hand in hand with the do not call list, but this one works, they redirect the call.
I highly recommend this program & if you have elderly persons who are susceptible to scammers.... this would help them out tremendously.

I am on the Federal do not call list
-
look in your instruction manual for your phone.
it should tell you how to block calls.
There is the Do Not Call list you can be put on.
it might last 5 years and you need to call again.
-
Has everyone forgotten about the DO NOT CALL LIST? EVery state and the federal government has it.
I've reported a few of them and am ready to report a couple more. I usually dont' do it unless they call repeatedly. Some i answer and tell them I'm on the list and they apologize and never call again but most of the repeat calls are from Mike or Jim and their accent tells me they really aren't someone named Mike or Jim. Other calls are robocalls and give the option to opt out but even then,m they still call back.
The latest ones making a pest of themselves are from "Microsoft," "Medical Services for diabetic supplies that I ordered" (I didn't), congratulatory one to lower my credit card interest rate (which I don't have that card), and one to lower my student loan debt (I don't have one).
I love Caller ID. It stores their numbers and it helps when they call giving date and time. Oh! They usually call when I'm at the stove cooking or at lunch time.

All I know is that you can block the number or either get on the do not call list.
