Can you guys help me? I need to get a Christmas present for a 8 year old boy. He's my cousins grandson and I don't want to get him clothing, I have no idea what 8 year old boys like. Appreciate any help you can give,?

What I bought for my nephew was some Legos that light up.

Legos always works, toy monster trucks, any kind of nerf toys...the ones that shoot out the *bleep* instead of the foam darts tend to work better. Good luck!

Depending on your budget, there are so many things an 8 year old boy would be intrigued by. At 8 years old my son loved loved nerf guns (and still does...lol). He loved legos then and now, they never outgrow legos and it keeps them busy! lol ... remote control vehicles that flips and turn over with lights, I can go on and on. Hope you find something :)

It would help if we know a little more about his personality, but he may enjoy a good book (like Harry Potter).

I'm with the Harry Potter book suggestion. Of course all the others are great too. Legos can keep them busy for hours but Lego's can be a bit expensive and you didn't mention what the budget for this gift is. Of course, a gift card to the local toy story is always welcome, then they can get what they want and you don't have to worry about if someone else is getting him the same gift. I wasn't a fan of the nerf toys when my son was young but that was because I didn't want him shooting it off in the house.

Stomp Rocket has gone over very well for many of our younsters. Its an outdoor toy. I also give Lego sets.

Most of this age like to play with Lego, sometime Toy R Us gift card would be great choice.

Playing cards and puzzles

If he's creative - how about Legos cause they have lots of different things a child of his age can make and they are fun too!

An gr8 auto case filled with hot-wheels cars, always been a love of my son when he was 8 years old.

When my kids were this age they loved to receive Lego sets and Nerf Guns. We could not have too many of either! My oldest son use to like those dinosaur construction sets that come in a pre-cut format on bolsar wood. You follow a plan to separate the pieces out and then hot glue them together. You can get different difficulty levels depending on how creative and skilled the child is. The other thing my kids liked is Game Stop gift cards. They could then stop by the store and buy a video game of their choosing. If in doubt, ask the parent what the child likes.

Any kind of truck or car

Hotwheels, legos, anything he can build with like kniex, maybe one of those flex tracks with a few cars for it, dinosaurs, books of all sorts are great, ninja turtles are still popular.
I've got to get for a toddler here soon! I have no idea what to get him. I have to hit up one of the baby stores. I have no idea what to get him! LOL!

I think puzzles may be a good idea.

Every kid is different. People have suggested puzzles...but some kids do not like to work puzzles. I got my cousin who is in 3rd grade 2 adult coloring books, a pack of pencils, and a bag of candy. Without knowing the kid it is hard to know what he would like. A gift card would be good because he can get what he wants. I got my niece and nephew a pack of multi candy bars and put $20 in a gift card holder and taped it to the candy bars. I just got to make sure they realize it is there and don't throw it away with the paper. haha

I would say a remote control truck. Sometimes they will have a good clearance at Walmart for around $20.

ask him what his favorite tv shows are. that is what my son asked my grandson and he said a few i can't remember but my son got a toy related to his favorite show.

Hot Wheels, Star Wars, Lego's are always a hit.
