Title: Dinning room table
Post by: melodylogan45 on December 11, 2016, 09:00:07 am
Does your dinning room table stay clean of items? Is it setup so you can just sit down and eat or do you have a lot of items to remove. I have medicine, vitamins, mail and magazines on my table. I live in a apartment.

Yes, we just ate and now the only thing on the table are 2 candles and a crystal bowl between them.  I'm a little, well a lot if I have to be truthful, a clean nut.  That was how I was raised, my mothers favorite saying was 'put it away, or I'll throw it away' and believe me, she did.  So I have carried that through my adult life.

At times the table is a catch all, and takes a long time to clean, it is nice looking when it is clear of stuff.

It's kept clean & cleared off....allergic to clutter of any kind in the house.

We only use our dining room for holidays etc so our kitchen table is where we eat.

first off I don't sit at my dining room table that much. I do try and keep it clear so that when people come over I can use it. However around the holidays it is a losing battle. right now it has presents and wrapping paper all over it . :rainbow: :peace: :santa:

We don't put a lot of stuff on the dining room table we try to keep it clean.  Once in a while I will put mail there just temporarily until I have a chance to look through it.

No, ours is always a mess. We don't eat at the table anyway so I guess for us it doesn't matter. It's mostly covered in my dad's work stuff.

Mine is usually clean except for a centerpiece but other family members think is a catch all.

We  just by ourselves never sit at the table so i am always having craft things to do, but when we do have company it is cleared off and we dine at it. Of course right now i am getting  my candy and baking done for Christmas, so yep it goes on the table. then  packed up and put in the freezer. But every day there is something  going on  for awhile.

If I had it my way I would get rid of mine. I wish we could get rid of the whole dinning room set. What a waste of space.

mine never stayed clean..always something on it..we took it out and my husband built a bar coming down the wall..we dont eat in there anyway..and the bar holds my george foreman, griddle, coffee pot, cannisters and other items lined up..still have an extension we use as a mini table if needed..he put the table in his workshop and covered it up..he was gonna cut it up and burn it..but i talked him out of it..he built it about 35 years ago..it has been in both daughters house, our house a few times and my father in laws house..couldnt bring myself to let him cut it up..too nice..told him to save it for the granddaughters or daughters..

I try to keep it uncluttered, but now is covered with Christmas cards, Christmas photos, Christmas letters and one Christmas table centerpiece which is basically lost in the clutter.

I don't have a dining room table.  The "dining room" has been a computer area through the years.  Right now, it is the toy room for the 2 year old grandson living with us.

Our kitchen table stays fairly clear of clutter....but I have one kitchen counter that is the "catch all" location.  Periodically I clear it off.

I stay at my daughter's house during the week to keep my 15 month old grandson.  She has 2 teenage step sons and the kitchen table and everything else in the house is a catch all for all their crap.
