I do hope everyone has a good Christmas. Or as good as you can. I think sometimes people get wrapped up in themselves and how great their Christmas is and they do not realize people are drowning right beside them. I am not at all being mean. Just emphasizing the holidays is not a happy time for every one. A few years ago I had an ex-family member (divorce) kill himself on Christmas Eve. No one realized he was that depressed.
My Mammaw died a few months ago. It is the first time in my life that we will not meet on Christmas morning at her house.
And I just got a text from a good friend that breaks my heart. He just recently lost both his parents and now something else horrible has happened just in the past couple of days. Not at all his fault.
Idk. Guess I am just thinking. Sometimes people want to refer to others as a grinch and some people are haha but some people are really having a hard time. Sadly the holiday season has the highest suicide rate of any other time of the year.

What you say is very true, which makes it even more important to share your good cheer with everyone you can. So here is wishing you a very happy holiday season Countrygirl and I sincerely hope the positive feelings you have at this beautiful time overshadow all the gloom that may come along. Broaden your vision to include the blessings of eternity that his birth brought to us all.

A year ago I lost my mother right before Christmas. It's been hard but I know she would want her family to be together on Christmas and that's what we do.
