sometimes you are asked for advice.
you give it.
the person doesn't like what you said.
even if you want to help, some people just don't want help.
they don't know how to receive it.
the truth isn't always agreeable. to whatever you want.

That is so true. If the person doesn't like the advice, no one is forcing them to take it. I am so sorry you are caught in the middle.

I always stay away from these kind of situations for this reason. I don't like getting involved in other peoples business

I know what you mean. People ask your advice and if it's not what they want to hear, they sometimes get mad at you. If you don't want my truthful answer, don't ask.

In order to not be caught in the middle of some of my family, i just tell them you are going to have to come to grips with whatever is going on an d work it out between you. It seems to work with them. Then i am not caught in the middle with part of the family mad at me. They are grown ups. Kids usualy work it out so can they.
