I have been trying to eat healthy. Successfully lost and kept off 30 lbs!
Over the holidays, I kind of let myself eat whatever. I also started to learn how to eat in portion controls, which helped a lot with keeping the weight off.
I had an idea, not sure if it would help anyone but here it goes:
We could all list healthy foods because it sometimes is hard to find new ideas for healthy foods!
I'll start:
Breakfast:
Healthy cereal or oatmeal
Fruit
Yogurt
Parfaits with low fat or non fat yogurt
Lunch:
Tuna Fish Sandwich
You could substitute chips for baked chips (healthier alternative)
Dinner:
Fish
Salad
I understand that everyone is different and some people might not consider the same foods healthy but thought it would be worthwhile, just to get the ideas going!

I prefer to eat cucumber slices to potatoe chips, Just me. but i find the chips way to salty for my taste. Instead of regular bread i prefer Ora wheat sandwich thins, and piled up with lettuce and tomatoes, very little meat. Just saying you can always find ways to cut out calories

Great alternatives! You could try baked chips instead of regular chips. I'm one of those people that think the taste is too greasy on chips. I still like a few from time to time.

Looks like a pretty good "menu" you have there. I personally like to have all organic foods - so I lean toward those and I also cut out a lot of the sugary stuff.

If you want to keep weight off eat beans,I eat every kind possible and also refry them and lots of fruit and vegetables, and whole fat dairy, yes whole fat mik yogourt and cheese. No fat dairy makes you hungrier and higher fat dairy satisfies you and is good fat for you, i have been to Europe many times and they eat higher fat products than we do and they are much leaner as a whole.

The portions part is what is important.
Eat anything you want to meet your cravings just eat in small portions.

I have only been eating less not much but still enough for my body.

Portion control is an excellent idea. More important than portion control is "nutrition facts". Here are some:
-Less fats, cholesterol and carbohydrates/sugars.
-More protein, vitamins and minerals.
Google: MyPlate.gov. This website shows you "the guidelines for eating and living healthier lifestyles".
Do not forget to drink plenty of water and exercise regularly.

Portion control is key. Not always easy.

When I eat healthy I eat more fruits, vegetables and beans, and less sweets and meat, especially red meat. I've been eating poorly the last couple of months due to the holidays and then some birthday and anniversary celebrations but now I am back on track. A big thing for me also is to lay off the bad snacking, especially at night when I'm watching tv. If I need something crunchy I'll eat carrots or celery.

I can eat eat healthy and have no problems until I hear those Chips Ahoy calling for me. I just can't seem to resist them, hard as I try.

Try foods labeled: Less calories than other brands or low calories food.

I've been avoiding the snack aisle at the supermarket to prevent impulse buying of junk food. This way there isn't a stock pile of junk food at home so I wouldn't be tempted into overindulging.

Congrats to your weight loss success. It is tough to stick with healthy choices when there are so many food items to choose. My shopping habits now consist of limiting my browsing in the grocery store to only fresh produce department when purchasing snacks or quick pick me ups. And to avoid the very popular soda, chips, cookies aisle for snacks. As much as I enjoy all those snacks, it helps to reduce my caloric intake. Even though I am not very successful in losing weight I feel more in control of my eating habits and emotional eating.

I try to eat something healthy per day, but always eating something which isn't healthy such as cookies.
