Have to be a dog.  im allergic to cats. cant have them even though my husband loves them. :thumbsup:

I use to prefer dogs more, but now, it's cats.

I have both, but prefer kitty. Easier to take carfe of. Dogs ar eneedy :)

I am a dog person.  I have 4 Chihuahua's, a Boxer, a Shepherd and a mix breed or part Rottweiler and part Dalmation.  We had a Chow but she got old and we ended up having to put her down due to health issues and a 2nd Boxer that got Parvo and passed even though he had his shots.  I cant say that I dont like cats at all because I have had a couple that just stole my heart.  Im actually missing my last one.  We tried to get in in for the night but he wouldnt come and that same night the cyoties got him.  I heard everything.  So sad, so sad.

i like both, i have both.

i think if i had to choose between the two, though, i'd go with dog.
dogs usually have such big personalities (of course i realize that cats can have quite a bit too ;p) i just feel like i can relate to dogs more.

i prefer a cat even tho i have a dog. dogs are very annoying and bark all night and day. while cats are very quiet. bad thing is if u keep a cat outside, it can wander off

I prefer dogs, we now have a Sheltie, 2 yrs old.  What a handful. Very active but obeys very well. "Buddy" likes to play with kids and other dogs.  He makes alot of friends when we go camping....they always remember buddy

I have 6 dogs and 3 cats living in my home. I love them all, but, OMG the hair and dander.

Dogs all the way. They are way more affectionate than cats. We have a rat terrior/heeler mix as our house dog. We have 3 treeing walker coon hounds outside.

Dogs... I have both a cat and a dog, and my cat is too independent for my liking.
My dog has been around since I was in elementary school, so I'm very close with my dog.

I've had both, but a dog REALLY needs alot more, a cat can pretty much entertain themselves as long as the litter is clean and there's food and water.   :cat:
