Title: Life Lessons - What have you learned?
Post by: sherryinutah on March 08, 2017, 12:19:16 pm
I've studied numerology for a few years and one thing I've learned is that my life path is 11. That number is based on the day I was born.

Life path 11 is an impractical idealist.  As as idealist I've had a tendency to want to "fix" and "change" things that seem to be "broken".  I've also spent my life feeling frustrated because "fixing" specific things for myself, other people and animals was often unrealistic.

I'm ready to progress so I created a new mantra that goes like this:

"I now love and accept you as you are and we can make the best of every situation."

What life lessons have you been presented with?

What have you learned?

I have had many life lessons this life time. I have learned to love myself again and that you cannot change other people or the world for that matter! lol ...everything will fall into it's place and any obstacles that interfere were meant to happen but will only make us stronger. I have learned to LIVE more, LOVE hard & SMILE at everyone I make eye contact with because your attitude and feelings are a mirror image of what you are surrounded with. :)

I think a good lesson to help you in life is to treat others as you would like to be treated

To never borrow money to friends if you want to keep that person as a friend, and If you do... get ready to lose the money and the friend. I'm 58 years old and have never once been paid back a cent i borrowed to friends... and I've lost friends over very small amounts. And these loans have been to fix real problems like losing a job but still need to feed their kids so i buy food. And they get back on their feet and I get blown off.  And when they show me a new pair of $200.00 shoes yet owe me  $200.00 I tend to get some what put out and ask for the money back. And I some how always end up being the bad guy in the picture and get run into the ground.  If I had every penny I've lost on helping people out of a mess, I could buy the house I'm renting .. paid in full!  And when I needed even just a shoulder to lean on when my mom died none of them even so much as showed up to offer support for that. Guess the lesson I learned is I've been a poor judge of people!

I've learned to not spend all your money. Put it away for a rainy day. Put some in savings.

I've learned you only go around once so if you want something go for it, if you don't, you might always regret your decision later.

I am not into numerology and tarot reading. I don’t find them accurate in interpreting my life. When I was young, my parents taught me to always treat people (including animals) like you would like to be treated and never hold grudges against anyone. In addition to that, I personally learned that basic kindness is absolutely essential for the survival in this world. It is important to have consideration for others (not just family and friends, but to all earthlings). Be selfless and cultivate nobility in character. What goes around comes around.

"What goes around comes around"  I'm not really sure about this saying and I hear people saying it all the time "Karma"  I've had some very nasty stuff pulled on me over the years... and the people who did it just keep on rolling in all the world has to offer them and doing great.  So for what every reason I'm just not seeing it.  God they say never gives you more than you can handle...  I'M telling you he must think I'm one Bad Asssss coz I've about seen it all when it comes to bud luck!

I have learned a lot about stress. It will make me so sick. I have come a long way after dealing with situations that led me to stress out and get sick. It has not happened again. I listen to cds that talk about ways of dealing with stressful situations and it has helped me so much. I know we cannot control things like losing a love one or friend to death, but dealing with other situations can be controlled better.

I personally think that "life lessons" are exactly that - lessons you learn while going through life and there is no "magic" or "mystic" about it.

Let God handle everything, and it's not worth chasing after someone who doesn't want to be with you

I believe in treating others the way I wish to be treated.  In fact most recently I've figured out that I mirror image behavior I receive from others onto them.  I didn't even realize I'd been doing this for years.  Even huger yet I've learned what and who I'm designed for.  I've learned to speak up.  Stand my ground and stick to my beliefs.  It's when I don't that I end up in situations and scenerios that lead to life changing events.

I don't think any of us has enough room to write down all the life lessons they've learned along the way.

I could write a book.  8)
