Title: Do you enjoy eating odd vegetables?
Post by: snuggleycutejc on March 16, 2017, 01:29:28 pm
Do you like artichoke or just the artichoke's heart? Just learned this one and I do want to grow it in a bucket, the sea bean. Do you have any odd vegetable in your garden? Do you have a one that you love? Have a gr8 day  :present:

When I was growing up, my mom gave me vegetables from the store in a can. They ALL tasted odd

Now i have my own garden, and I grow the veggies that are pleasing to me.

A new one for me this year, however, is "ground cherries", suggested by my son.  little tomatoes that fall off the plant when ripe in a little papery husk.  Will be fun. Odd or not.

Growing them myself takes away the scarier aspects of a new veggie.

There are very few veggies I don't like.   Love artichokes.  My mom use to fix stuffed artichokes when we were growing up.  I've tried lots of times but they never taste as good as moms, but then again, does anything ever taste as good as moms?

Going to have to look into those ground cherries.  Sounds interesting.

Yeah, I like artichokes, but I rarely buy them. You'll have to buy a lot for a sufficient meal (I'll just get the ones in jar.)

Yaayme:  I will eat those. They look fantastic.  There really isn't a vegetable I don't like.

I don't think I've ever eaten an artichoke, but I'm not against trying one.

The only vegetables I like are corn and Lettuce. I am more of a meat and potatoes girl. However, I love many different fruits.

We don't have a vegetable garden; but when it comes to artichokes I've only had them in dip...I've made it before and it's a little pricey but worth it.  So much better than getting the pre-made packaged stuff.
