This morning, I wanted to make a few bucks and as I clicked on one survey, it was asking for the last 4 digits of my SSN and the first 4 digits of my driver's license. I closed the survey cos i was nervous about that and clicked another survey, but the same thing happened. I thought it was an external survey company asking for it, but then I realized it was fusion cash. Do you think fusion cash updated it's policy or this is just happening for the main time? Has anyone else seen this? Below is a picture to back what I said up.

I have not seen it yet, but I would not give out that kind of information.
-
I have never had that happen on FC and I would not give out that info
-
I haven't attempted any surveys on here in some time now. Got tired of the rejection.
-
Regardless if it was a survey from this site or not I would not give out that information.
-
I have not seen this and I will not be giving out that kind of information.

Boy that scary.... I've done 5 surveys on here in the last 36 hours and its never happened to me. I would not give that out and would report the url to the the people here . And if possible get screen shots !!
-
I havent seen this on fusion cash or any other site where they ask for drivers license number or ss#

UHHHH WOW. This just happened to me but on another site. I closed it. It asked for the first 3 of SS# and the last 4 of DL number. It had like 4 choices and wanted me to pick the one that was right. Then the other question was about a previous street I had lived on. If this is something new they are doing to confirm who you are I will not be taking surveys in the future.

Considering a lot of these surveys are coming from other countries that is even more out there they want this info. What difference does it make exactly who you are. You are male/female and the age they want or whatever so take that and move on.

I do not give my Soc. Sec, my phone, or even the credit union I may use. They will have an "other" field to fill out the local bank or cred. union. I just put in "local entity". Often that work. I usually bow out of a survey that is about financial issues.
I also dont use webcam with any survey. We have a very scary un-private internet, and the few scents you get from a survey is not worth the risk.

Never seen that either and wouldn't give out. Not to mention i'd have to get up and find my purse. think i'll click on the SSI surveys they are usually good.
-
I have never came across one which asked for that. I would have done just as you have. I don't think they need that information.

Exactly that was the same thing I saw

I've only had to provide my information to confirm my identity once I hit over $600. I've never seen it otherwise.
But the first 3 numbers of your ssn is just based on the state you lived in when it was issued so its really not that personal or hard to figure out.
-
Never seen that and definitely wouldn't give out that info.

I don't give my real bank. They don't need that. I don't do the web cam either.

I knew that. But still did not feel comfortable. Esp since there were 3 questions total. One confirming a previous street I had lived on and then the last 4 of my DL. WHY would they need to know exactly who I am for a friggin 30 cent survey? And if it is not hard to figure out then they shouldn't need to ask me. haha
-
Never had one, but i would not ever give out the personal info to any of my accounts or drivers license . Heck i don't even want them contacting me on the phone, I am tired of cold calls and scammers. i have got to the point where unless i know who is calling i won't even answer the phone.

Honestly, I haven't had a survey ask for that kind of information but if I had I wouldn't do it. I close surveys that want follow ups or ask for an address to further bother me. I wouldn't do any survey that asks for personal information. I don't think FC screens these, so it's up to the individual whether they want to do the survey or not. But common sense, any time they ask for stuff like that, don't do it.
-
I haven't seen this yet and if I did I wouldn't give any of that kind of info.
-
Interesting...thanks for pointing that out...
-
I would not give out my ss# like the guy from lifeloxk did. If you have a question on fusion cash you can probably contact the administrator.
-
That has only happened once for me but that was at a banking website to verify my identity. I haven't seen it on a survey site.
-
I had that happen as well, but it was in multiple choice format? Weird
-
I've never seen that either, and I would not be comfortable giving that out, unless it was directly from the survey site and has to do with tax forms.
-

What pees me off is when you spend 45 minutes doing a survey and then the very last question is they want your street address or you don't get paid.
And it is up to you if you want to take it. I complained about something in s survey and that is what they told me. If you don't feel comfortable answering the questions then x out of it and go on to another survey. FC is making money on the surveys we complete.

I didn't want to answer them when I filled out my taxes. I certainly won't do it on a survey. We have NO privacy. And if you have been doing surveys, getting free samples, and all this other stuff you have even less.
-
no most ask for your birth year but not first three digits of social.
-
This has never happened to me, but like you I would close out of the survey. I have a problem giving out any of my Social Security Number or my Driver's License number.
-
That looks like an identity quiz when the bank, govt., etc. is trying to confirm your identity.
-
Never give out that information. Better to be safe then sorry. ;)
-

It is exactly the same. I have seen it twice now. The second time I just hit next without answering the questions and it went on with the survey. If our answers are anonymous then I am not sure why they would need to go to such extreme lengths to confirm MY identity. That just seems foolish. Esp when you are just getting opinions on tooth paste.
-
I haven't seen that yet. Put at ticket in and ask them.
-
This happened to me once but the answers were in multiple choice and it was on a different site. I closed out of it because I'm not comfortable giving that out
-
I have never ran into anything like that but I would not answer that question or anything too personal.
-
I have never had a survey ask me for that info! Smart move by clicking out of it!
-
It's better to not make a little extra money, then to lose your monies, your, identity, basically you're life to scammers! Listen to your gut feelings. Never, never, give out your SSN!
-
I have not seen that either I would have closed it also.
-
I never give my ssn
-
never give your ssn
-
Don't give that kind of info out to anyone or anything you don't know or trust 8)
-
I would never give my SSN to surveys or offers. I'm not that desperate for money.
-
I had it happened on another site and closed it. But not have seen it again here or on any other sites.
-
That is very sketchy. I would advise not giving out your SSN in that manner.
-
That's scary, I think you were right to close the survey. If Fusion Cash need you to verify your info, I think they'll email you for them.
-
They do not need this information.
-
i just dont like giving out my ss number
-
That is not information I would give out, if surveys start to request that then I will be staying away from them.
-
I saw this once. Partially because I did not want to give away the information and partially because I was too lazy to check what my driver's license number was I just clicked the option none of the above on all the questions. It allowed me to keep trying to qualify for the survey.
-
Yeah that's not good. I wouldn't put down anything either. sounds fishy!!!!!
