If you don't save room for dessert, what do you get? I really haven't came across anything yucky. I take home and read the fortune cookies. I enjoy the almond cookie and green tea ice cream and the moon tarts. Do you have a favorite Chinese dessert other than I listed, love to read yours. Have a gr8 day :present:

I love their food, but I'm not too crazy about the deserts that they have to offer. :monkey:
-
I rarely have room for desserts, but once in a while i will eat something that is pretty spicy and i need something to cut the spice so i will eat an ice cream. Most places have an ice cream bar in our state. And it does seem to help.
-
I love green tea ice cream! It is the only one I will go for. I'd pass on the others...unless they were free haha!
-
Have you ever tried read bean soup, or taro tapioca pudding? Sometimes fruits like sliced oranges are served too after a meal.
-
I love sweets but I don't go to a Chinese food place for dessert. I usually pass on dessert altogether and enjoy some fried rice with protein and vegetables.

I like the rice pudding best

Most of the time when I go to Chinese restuarants, I go to Chinatown or to Chinese buffets. But if I want Chinese desert I usually go to Chinese buffets since they have some great tasty deserts.
-
I don't think I ever had any deserts other than the fortune cookie. I eat Chinese a lot too.

No, not in U.S.
-
They look so good, so inviting, so shameful, so tempting...Then you bite into one and your ready to hit Baskin Robbins or Dunkin' Donuts. They are disgusting the few times I've ventured to take from the desert section of the All-U-Can eat bar.
-
If I'm in Chinatown, I'm more likely to buy a piece of cake from one of the local bakeries which turn out to be much cheaper than your regular bakeries.
-
Not a fan of the desserts in Chinese restaurants. I have tried some but they just don't satisfy my desire for something sweet.
-
Yes, the small custard pies!
-
I'm no huge Chinese food eater but I just realized I've literally never ordered dessert from a Chinese place or even considered it. :o
-
I don't have a favorite..but I do tend to get the almond cookie more than anything. If I don't get the desserts I get the fresh fruit they usually have.
-
Our Chinese restaurant has the best black pepper chicken and sea salt/black pepper shrimp. I always fill up on these and the wontons and do not have room for the desserts. I do like the sugared donuts, though.
-
They are abolutely wonderful. I love all Chinese food, I could practically eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner....except I'm on a sort of a diet, so it isn't possible...why? Why is the world so cruel? Must have chinese. Now!!!!
-
well i eat the ice cream and almond cookies, and the apple pie with the flaky crust.
-
No....they taste weird. Not a big Chinese eater anyway. I normally try their little cakes or puffs, but don't taste like much. Almost too bland.
-
I love Chinese food but not there desserts.
-
I haven't had Chinese desert before. They certainly don't push it. With buffet they offer fruits and icecream which is the norms for us inUS.
What else do they offer that's Chinese desert?
-
I do, it's been awhile since I ate at those places.
-
The mango pudding with a little cream is always a favorite. If you like tapioca pudding it's really good as well. Almond cookies are a bit fancier than fortune cookies. There is always red bean soup which I know not a lot of people like.
-
I had a Chinese dessert I shared with a friend, and they talked me into paying for it. They said, it's $25.....I was like, well, that's believable. Chinese food is good. But no...it was only like 5.25..
Chinese desserts are better than the main course. I know it's mostly American chinese...but seriously. Great for a work snack. Keeps the day going!

Unrelated, but kinda related... I quit going to Chinese restaurants when the guy in my neighborhood who owned one sold it. They had the BEST food, nothing since has touched their food, so I gave up looking for a "replacement". A local supermarket has a pretty decent Chinese food vendor who rents space in their deli, but it's still not the same.
-
I haven't been to a Chinese restaurant in years. There was a Chinese restaurant right across the street from where I used to work.I went there for lunch so many times I burned myself out on Chinese food.
-
Never knew Chinese restaurants had desserts...Closest thing I ever had to dessert at a Chinese restaurant is fortune cookies...However, I've always gotten take out and someone else usually pays. So, I'm really not too sure if the ones in my area have desserts or not.
???

I like the powdered doughnuts. I think the fourtne cookies are disgusting and really havent tried anything else
-
I like some of their food but I never really had dessert other than the fortune cookie...and I don't care too much for that except to eat it and read the fortune.
-
Love the desserts at my neighborhood Chinese restaurant, especially the chocolate, banana, and tapioca pudding.
-
The soft serve chocolate ice cream is my favorite.
-
I don't think I have ever ordered desert from a chinese restaurant.
-
Other than their fortune cookies, no I can't say I do.
-
I like their coffee cake that was cut into little squares.
-
I love the coffee cake, not sure what it is called but it tastes like coffee. I usually try to save room for 2 little pieces. The odd thing is I dont drink coffee, but that cake is just so yummy!!
